Chapter 2140: Chapter 521: Blood Ties and the Birth Mother
A doubtful female voice came from behind. Feng Dai’s body stiffened for a moment; she turned to look at the group of people coming out of the elevator. Her gaze moved from Ye Xiaoxiao to An Ying and then to Mo Pianpian, finally returning to Ye Xiaoxiao, and a cold glint suddenly flashed in her eyes.
Ye Xiaoxiao walked in without betraying any emotion, smiled, and looked at Ye Wenxing. "Auntie, how come you’re here too?"
"What did you call her?" Feng Dai asked back, her whole body trembling, clearly furious.
"Auntie." Ye Xiaoxiao smiled as she said, "Aunt Wenxing, I haven’t seen her for a long time."
"She’s not your aunt..." Feng Dai shouted, her emotions surging. Looking at the woman in front of her, she finally realized where that strange feeling came from. She had never looked like her family since she was a child, and it became more obvious as she grew older. She’d never thought about it in this way before, but now, after hearing Ye Wenxing’s words, the anger and fear in her heart grew deeper and deeper.
She really wasn’t her aunt. She had no idea where this bastard came from, yet she had occupied and enjoyed everything that should have belonged to her daughter.
Ye Xiaoxiao ignored the shifting light in Feng Dai’s eyes, glanced toward the operating room, and said, "She hasn’t come out yet?"
At that moment, the doors of the operating room suddenly opened from inside. A nurse rushed out anxiously and said, "The patient is hemorrhaging badly, we need an urgent blood transfusion. Who has type A blood? Please come with me."
Feng Dai hurriedly raised her hand. "I do."
"Please come with me, the patient can’t wait too long." Ignoring everyone else around, Feng Dai followed the nurse away.
An Ying’s face turned deathly pale. She staggered back two steps and collapsed onto a chair.
"Mom, what’s wrong?" Mo Pianpian squatted by her side and asked anxiously.
"Did the nurse say... she’s type A blood?"
Mo Pianpian nodded in confusion. "She should be... right...?"
"Oh my God..." An Ying suddenly covered her face with both hands and let out a wail of pain, drawing the simultaneous gaze of Ye Xiaoxiao and Ye Wenxing.
"Mom, what on earth is wrong with you?"
An Ying clutched her chest with one hand, gasping in agony. She was type B blood, and the child’s father was type O. How could they possibly have an A-type child? There was only one possibility: Ye Yuwei was not her biological daughter at all...
After searching for so many years, she never imagined it would all end in vain.
She suddenly recalled the fleeting glimpse of a red mole she’d seen earlier on that woman’s body, and a possibility slowly surfaced in her mind. She abruptly lifted her head and stared straight at the young woman standing not far away. The woman also noticed her gaze and smiled at her.
That look, for some reason, made An Ying’s heart suddenly skip a beat.
She stood up and walked straight toward her. Mo Pianpian quickly followed.
"Madam, what a coincidence. I didn’t expect we’d actually run into each other here," Ye Xiaoxiao said with a smile.
"You’re here to see Miss Ye too? What’s your relationship with her?"
Ye Wenxing chuckled softly. "I heard Miss Ye has found her biological mother. Could it be that you are...?"
An Ying didn’t answer them. She just stared fixedly at Ye Xiaoxiao, pressed her dry lips together, and asked in a hoarse voice, "What... blood type are you?"
The question came a bit abruptly. Ye Xiaoxiao raised her brows and replied casually, "I’m type B." Her tone was so nonchalant, as if she were answering about the weather, yet it stirred up a monstrous wave in An Ying’s heart.
The last trace of wishful thinking sank completely into a dead sea.
She covered her mouth as tears streamed down her face. Looking at the young, fashionable woman in front of her, she knew it was neither coincidence nor accident. She was certain that the woman standing before her was the biological daughter she had been separated from for so many years.
Blood ties are that miraculous. At the very first glance when she saw this young woman, that subtle feeling had already taken root in her heart.
