Chapter 133: Chapter 133: A Resounding Slap in the Face (6)

"I certainly hope there won’t be a problem! Simon was clearly prepared this time, and he’s unpredictable. We can’t have a repeat of what happened with the tea ceremony! Seraphina Sterling might have saved you once, but she might not be able to save you twice!"

Marshal had lost all confidence in Michelle Galloway’s assurances. Before the tea ceremony, she had sworn up and down that everything would be fine, but what was the result? Simon had shut her down completely, leaving her speechless.

Michelle Galloway’s expression darkened. "I haven’t studied the tea ceremony for very long, which is why Simon was able to pick it apart. But antiques are different. I’ve been surrounded by them my whole life. I guarantee you, among all the students at this winter camp, no one knows more about antiques than I do! I won’t let what just happened repeat itself!"

"I hope so," Marshal said, still not quite believing her. "And another thing. From now on, you and Crystal Marshall need to stop picking fights with Seraphina Sterling. Don’t look down on her; she knows a lot! If any other problems arise, we might need her help. Antagonizing her won’t do you any good!"

"Marshal! Don’t let Seraphina Sterling fool you! She doesn’t actually know a lot, she’s just trying to steal the spotlight! What happened was a total fluke. She’s just a student from Tollan High; she wouldn’t have the opportunities or the resources to learn all that other stuff! You have to trust Michelle. She’ll be absolutely fine this time!"

Crystal Marshall jumped in to back her up.

"Marshal, you really don’t need to worry this time. Michelle has been around auction houses since she was a little girl, seeing all sorts of antiques. Her experience and knowledge are comparable to a professional Appraiser from an antique shop. No matter how much that Simon wants to cause trouble, at the end of the day, he’s a foreigner. He can’t possibly have an in-depth understanding of antiques!"

Miles Galloway also chimed in to support his daughter.

"Then I’ll be waiting for your good news," Marshal said coolly before returning to the main hall.

"Michelle, go prepare. Dad believes in you—you’ll be absolutely fine! I’ve already spoken to that reporter; he’s not going to make a mess of the tea ceremony story. From now on, he’ll be focusing his camera on you! You have to make sure this is flawless!"

Miles Galloway urged her again and again. The reputation of Serenity Antiques was riding on this coverage.

Michelle Galloway was well aware of how important this exchange was—for herself, for her school, and for her family’s business. It was all crucial. The weight on her shoulders grew even heavier.

When Michelle Galloway reappeared before the crowd in a fresh change of clothes, many students couldn’t help but frown. Clearly, most of them didn’t care for her at all.

"Apex not only possesses a tea culture with a long and storied history, but also a wealth of exquisite handicrafts! These crafts have been passed down from generation to generation, becoming exceptionally precious antiques. Each one bears the hallmarks of its time, displaying the unique character and style of its era..."

Michelle Galloway did her best to ignore the looks of distaste from the audience and launched into her presentation.

「In the afternoon」 Many of the chaperones attending the winter camp moved to sit near Seraphina Sterling. Clearly, her repeated ability to step up at the most critical moments had left them both stunned and deeply impressed.

’They were all just high school students, so how could Seraphina Sterling be fluent in five foreign languages, be in peak physical condition, and also know all about the tea ceremony? It was unbelievable! Simply stunning! And utterly unexpected!’

"So, when do you think Michelle Galloway is going to make a fool of herself?" After listening for a long stretch, Genevieve Churchill was getting impatient. She never had much interest in this sort of thing, and Michelle Galloway’s voice was as good as a lullaby.
