Chapter 552: Is He A Dragon Or A Wyvern?

As Agnivar descended towards the Infernal Serpent's corpse, his mind went into overdrive.

Lord will not store this corpse in his spiritual space, right? Agnivar thought.

At best, he wanted Leo to extract the beast core, mana crystal, or soul crystal. If Leo were capable of storing such a massive beast in his spiritual space, then there would be no boundary left through which Agnivar could anchor and gauge Leo's true capabilities.

Having already gone inside Leo's spiritual space and witnessed its vastness, Agnivar knew Leo's soul strength was anything but ordinary.

Leo himself was also a bit sceptical about being able to store such a huge body. Back when he formed the volcanic island, he had consumed almost all of his soul power. But since he had also consumed 3 petals of the Elasian Bloom, his soul had recovered almost completely. He was 90% sure he would succeed, but there was still that 10% chance.

Leo stood beside the corpse, which was still radiating enough heat and presence to pressure even Agnivar, as evidenced by his tense expression.

Leo once again looked at the beautiful orange-and-red slit eyes and couldn't help but think—

"How much would they sell for?"

Yes, he was actually trying to value them. Knowing that rich nobles liked collecting beautiful beast body parts and were willing to pay a hefty price for them, Leo was sure the eyes would fetch an enormous sum.

Not thinking about anything else due to the time constraint, he pressed his palm against the corpse. Unlike before, however, he couldn't store it all at once.

Almost immediately after he attempted to store the corpse, a huge amount of soul energy was drained from him. Yet even then, only 1/4 of the serpent's body was covered.

Leo expanded the range of his [Spiritual Sense] until it enveloped the beast's entire form as his soul energy drained at a rapid pace. When Leo felt that almost 2/5 of his soul energy had been consumed, the corpse vanished into thin air and appeared inside his spiritual space, floating beside the Flame Island.

Splash! Splash!

The empty space was once again filled with surrounding water, but the wave rocked the already damaged island, causing it to nearly collapse. If more than a few people tried to explore the island, it would completely fall apart.

"Damn, I guess those Ashen Tribemens are gonna curse me." Leo winced at the sight, thinking such a good spot was destroyed.

In his spiritual space, Ashira was startled by the sudden appearance and yelped loudly, but nobody heard her. Both Niri and Zelut were incapable of staying on that scorching island, so she was alone.

Outside, Agnivar's jaw nearly fell at the sight, but before he could even steady himself, Leo was already on his back.

"Let's go. We have around 45 minutes."

In the shadows, even Zerathra and Gunther were amazed.

"I was about to ask what you fed your student, but looking at your stupid expression, I guess this is new for you too," Zerathra remarked.

Gunther nodded.

"I think this kid has been hiding much more than he shows. What do I need to do in order for him to reveal those things?" he muttered to himself, his tone suggesting he was genuinely asking for Zerathra's opinion.

At that, Zerathra's expression darkened.

"Don't—"

She said only that before falling silent. She could tell that saying anything more was extremely dangerous for her.

Gunther noticed that.

Same as Vice Principal Tarun... What did they actually see? Gunther wondered. As a 5-star, he was aware of the world's restrictions on revealing certain information. And after witnessing the same reaction from another 6-star being, he became certain that whatever was behind Leo wasn't something to be trifled with.

Since Gunther was only at the initial stages of the Immortal Realm, his knowledge was far more limited than that of 6-star beings like Tarun and Zerathra. If even they were acting this way, then it was best for him to remain reserved.

Gunther stroked his beard.

"Don't worry. I haven't become this old due to some fluke. I know where to act and where not to..." He watched Leo flying away into the distance.

"I guess it's time."

He looked towards Zerathra and extended his hand.

"Nice to meet you once again. Information on intelligent beast taming will be quite useful to humanity. I hope our interaction remains peaceful like this in the future too."

Zerathra shook Gunther's hand.

"Don't worry. We are also very annoyed by those plagues, so in a sense, we have a common enemy. So don't fret over such small things. I too hope our interaction remains peaceful in the future. Kukuku." Zerathra giggled at last.

"But that seems very unlikely with how the new world has turned out to be, so..."

She suddenly clenched Gunther's hand tightly, making him raise an eyebrow.

"I can never guarantee that you'll still have that head on your neck when we meet again."

With that, Zerathra disappeared.

Gunther clenched and unclenched the hand she had squeezed.

"Hmm, she has unusually soft hands for someone giving death threats." Gunther chuckled before disappearing as well to follow Leo once again.

Shyra's back...

"Dad... that human... is he a dragon or a wyvern? I couldn't even gather the courage to look up at his face with how overwhelming his presence felt... I almost felt like kneeling. The urge was even greater than when the noble dragon arrived before him," the red-scaled Lizardwoman said as she gently massaged the unconscious white-scaled Lizardwoman's head.

"I don't know... but his aura is very similar to our rulers," Thalvyr replied while stroking the Lizardkid's head to comfort him.

"What if he doesn't turn out to be as Mom said?" the red-scaled woman asked with concern.

Thalvyr's eyes narrowed.

"Zharrissa's dreams are never wrong. If she saw that he treats other races well in his territory, then he should treat us well too. The dreams told her that he values strong combatants, and I am very strong. I can do the work for all 3 of you to secure a safe environment."

He looked at the white-scaled woman with a gentle gaze.

"Zharrissa needs a cooler place. We cannot depend on the Ashveil for too long. Her health has already deteriorated after she forced herself to defend against the Ashen Lizardman Tribe. We need to get out of here, and that man is the best opportunity we have," Thalvyr said.

The red-scaled woman's eyes blazed at that.

"Those ugly black scales! If I could, I would have already—"

"Calm down, Cindriss. I already killed 10 of their men in retaliation. Focus on the new life we have ahead."

"Don't worry, Dad! If that man requires strong combatants, I'll help too. I'm also strong!" Cindriss declared with determination.

"M-me too! I'm also strong!" The Lizardkid raised his head and chimed in cheerfully.

While they were talking, they had already reached the realm boundary, and Agnivar's silhouette became visible in the sky.

"Huh?"

Thalvyr narrowed his eyes in concentration as he noticed something clamped within the wyvern's talons.

It was a living being, panicking as it flailed its arms and legs wildly.
