Absolute Beast Dominion
Chapter 781: Fire Brigade - 1
Chapter 781: Fire Brigade - 1
"Oh, Lily... I am building our preliminary territory layout, and this place here is specifically for those with a fire affinity."
Lily formed an ’O’ with her mouth as she watched Leo plant various fire-related natural treasures and command Howl to heat the area until a small pool of lava formed.
"But the area you have designated... We don’t have that many people..." Lily muttered.
"We can fill it with various natural treasures and keep planting more until we have enough people to come..." At that moment, Leo suddenly had a thought.
"I will also have Howl pick up many domesticable beasts along his path to a more dangerous location. So, most of the area will probably house various sorts of beasts."
Since Howl was a guardian beast and possessed Low 4-Star strength, his mere aura could suppress many lower-ranked beasts, taming them without even needing any beast masters to personally tame them—making them domesticated beasts.
In fact, a less-visited region on Howl’s back, filled with bushes, already housed a family of Low 1-Star Black-Eared Rabbits that had come to seek shelter from the previous snowfall and stayed.
"Oh, by the way, Agni wants to have a talk with you," Leo casually mentioned, as if he hadn’t just pushed Agnivar right into a ferocious beast’s maw.
Lily turned sharply toward the Wyvern, only to see him fidgeting anxiously.
It wasn’t that she was displeased with him, since Ashira had already told her that Agni hadn’t actually done anything ’inappropriate’ until recently. However, the pressure Agnivar involuntarily felt from her at that time had left his legs weak even now.
"What do you want to ask?" Lily questioned.
"Uh, well..." Agnivar mustered up his courage and finally spoke.
"During my recent trip around the region last month, I sensed a Flame Wyvern’s presence from a great distance. So, I was asking for permission to kill it..."
Lily frowned. Was there a need to ask permission to kill wild beasts? She was just starting to think that Leo had placed some kind of restriction on him when Agnivar continued.
"...if it’s a male, or bring her back if it’s a female." Agnivar finished his sentence quickly, waiting with bated breath.
"Leo won’t tame any more Flame Wyverns," Lily said, raising a brow. Two were already excessive.
"No, not tame. I will bring her back—if she is a she—and keep her under my command."
Lily narrowed her eyes, understanding the lecherous Wyvern’s intentions.
"...Fine, but if she causes any problems, you will be the one to face the consequences." Lily knew about Agnivar’s taming contract, so she couldn’t technically deny him this right. However, if he wanted to keep someone under his command, he should also face punishment if they acted out of line.
Agnivar’s eyes immediately lit up.
"Of course! I will take full responsibility!"
"Then, I will depart." Agnivar was about to leave immediately when Leo stopped him.
"Wait. First, absorb the Dragon Essence."
Leo immediately brought out a large, hand-sized vial containing orange liquid that emitted a warm glow.
Sun-Flame Dragon – Aurex Solvar Sunborn’s Diluted Royal Blood Essence(1L) - Mid Yellow(5) Tier
- A precious treasure for draconic and fire-affinity beings, containing diluted blood essence of the Dragon Emperor. It can help draconic beasts refine and strengthen their bloodline purity. It also produces a powerful synergistic effect on flame-type beings, enhancing their affinity for fire, improving their energy control, and potentially awakening dormant draconic or sun-flame-related abilities.
Aurex had been very generous. He had provided a range of diluted blood essences, from Peak 3-Star to Peak 6-Star, along with hundreds of vials Leo could use at will.
Even Louis and Cyrandel were surprised that Aurex would do so, because dragons were very proud beings, and their blood was something they took immense pride in. If a dragon willingly gave its blood to someone, it meant the dragon held that person in very high regard.
The lingering draconic pressure from that small vial was enough to stun Agnivar momentarily as he forced himself to calm down.
His slit pupils contracted, and his heartbeat quickened despite himself.
Leo was sceptical about whether a single vial would be enough, so he brought out nine more vials of the same level.
He recalled Aurex explicitly warning him not to let anyone whose rank was two Major Realms below the diluted essence’s tier consume the blood, as it would create complications and be dangerous.
Though this restriction of two Major Realms was for draconic beings, for any other being, the limit was one Major Realm.
In simple terms, for a Low 4-Star Flame Wyvern like Agnivar, Mid Yellow (5) Tier diluted blood was the sweet spot.
To test it, Leo threw a vial directly into Agni’s mouth to see whether more was really necessary.
Agnivar snapped out of his stupor and panicked when Leo threw the vial at him. However, understanding Leo’s intention, he caught it in his mouth.
Crack!
The vial shattered between Agnivar’s jaws, and he swallowed everything in one go. He didn’t mind the glass particles, drinking them along with the blood essence.
Leo’s system immediately helped digest the blood as the Wyvern’s eyes began to glow faintly.
"Not enough?"
Leo threw the remaining nine bottles one by one, and Agnivar consumed them all.
Finally, a noticeable effect appeared as Agni’s body began to heat, while his face scrunched up in pain.
Lily immediately placed her hand on Agnivar’s body to check what was going on.
"His blood is boiling, and some kind of internal change is occurring in his muscles, bones and veins... wait, I think changes are occurring in his meridians."
Meridians are the energy pathways that run soul energy throughout the body—even the deepest parts of the bones.
Katherine had given Lily and Miho a few classes on meridians during their training—necessary knowledge for crafting spirit equipment and artefacts, and equally important for soul-related work and gaining strength.
Leo narrowed his eyes as he observed the transformation.
They noticed his body growing larger, easily crossing the 20-meter mark from head to tail, while his muscles also grew stronger.
On Leo’s system screen, Agnivar’s bloodline percentage rose steadily.
Noble Bloodline (49% → 50% → 51%)
Ding!
>Tamed Beast ’Agnivar’ has accumulated enough bloodline potential to evolve its traits!
Traits:
[Lesser → Intermediate Draconic Physique] - Copied
+50% → +100% stat boost (Vitality, Strength, Stamina, Intelligence)

Thump!
Leo’s heart gave a wild beat as his body and soul strengthened greatly from the traits’ feedback.
Even his soul seemed to have taken a step closer to advancing to the next stage.
But Agnivar’s progress didn’t stop there.
