Chapter 605 - 604: I will Kill a saint
Chapter 605: Chapter 604: I will Kill a saint
Across the Mortal Realm, a huge Eye suddenly appeared.
Everyone simultaneously felt as though they were being watched, as if they were completely exposed.
Finally, Leon and Keith also stopped as they looked at the giant Eye.
Then, suddenly, Leon grunted.
He could no longer fly and collapsed onto the ground.
An intense wave of pain spread throughout his body, and his breathing became ragged.
"System, what is happening?" Leon asked through the pain as his body convulsed violently.
[Ding... Error!]
[Higher power detected!]
[System is being compromised!]
[ERROR!]
[ERROR!]
[System is being forcefully removed from the host!]
"What?!"
Leon gritted his teeth, his eyes widening from both the pain and the realization of what was happening.
Meanwhile, in the Upper Realm, Void remained calm, a sly smile on his face as he stretched out his hand.
Then...
Leon felt his entire soul being ripped apart.
His destiny, his luck, and everything that made him who he was were being torn away at this moment.
But just as he was about to lose everything, it suddenly stopped.
"How dare you, demon!"
A loud shout echoed through the Upper Realm.
Void frowned.
A Rank 4 aura appeared and rapidly approached the Purgatory.
One powerhouse after another awakened as the previously calm Upper Realm was shaken by the terrifying aura.
"Isn’t that the Saint?" someone couldn’t help but ask.
"Yes... Saint Arka," another replied with fear.
The Saint had proven himself millions of years ago by devouring the Violent Devouring Star.
After that, he successfully broke through to Rank 4 and took the position of Saint, becoming one of the few guardians responsible for protecting the Upper Realm from falling or breaking apart.
And now, the aura they had thought they would never feel again was being released once more.
"Tch... Middle-Level Rank 4," Void muttered as he ignored him.
He was nothing more than a barking dog.
Void continued focusing on Leon.
Meanwhile, all the demons in Purgatory were trembling as they knelt in fear.
To Rank 3 beings and below, a Rank 4 aura was like the ultimate judgment—something they could never hope to match.
Their souls instinctively trembled beneath its might.
Seeing this, Saint Arka became even more annoyed at being ignored.
He directly attacked Purgatory.
The entire Upper Realm lit up as a giant sword appeared.
Terrifying power descended as Laws were broken apart.
Worlds and universes were almost reduced to ruins as the attack passed through them, heading toward Purgatory.
But just as it was about to destroy the once-feared Purgatory, the attack faded into the background.
Void had been distracted again and could no longer continue with Leon.
His eyes became cold as he stood up from his recliner.
"It seems you Saints have gotten a little too full of yourselves," Void couldn’t help but mutter.
He instantly moved.
His size increased with every tens of thousands of Mu he crossed.
By the time Void emerged from Purgatory, a giant demon stood in the void.
Universes were like particles of dust beneath his feet.
Dimensions were nothing more than small bricks around him.
Laws were fractured, and the Origins within the realm were stirred violently.
"Demon, how dare you interfere with Fate?"
Saint Arka spoke.
He wasn’t surprised that Void had been able to defend against his attack.
After all, he had expected it.
Ever since he was young, he had heard stories of the great Demon Ancestor who had once fought against the Ancient Saints—the old Rank 4 beings.
He was said to have stood alone and fought the ten strongest Ancient Saints on equal ground for more than a hundred cycles.
(One cycle is one hundred thousand years.)
Of course, the Ancient Saints had since retreated into the background, with new Saints like him taking their positions as guardians of the realm.
To him and the others, the old stories were exaggerated.
That was simply how legends worked.
He had personally witnessed the strength of the Ancient Saints.
He wasn’t far behind them.
And in the end, the Ancient Saints had managed to seal this Great Demon Ancestor within Purgatory.
If the Ancient Saints had been able to accomplish that, then this Great Demon Ancestor’s power couldn’t be anything extraordinary.
"Kid, I don’t merely interfere with Fate."
Void spoke calmly.
"I can destroy it and rewrite it."
"Who are you to question me?"
Saint Arka frowned.
"It seems it has been too long since you received one or two beatings from the Ancient Saints."
"But don’t worry."
"I will take their place and discipline you, you wild creature."
Saint Arka’s voice spread throughout the Upper Realm as everyone nervously watched the confrontation.
They didn’t understand why Saint Arka had actually dared to call out the Demon Ancestor.
Since the dawn of time, everyone had known how terrifying the Demon Ancestor was.
Tales and myths about him had spread throughout the ages, and even his true name had been forbidden from being known by the outside world.
It was said that if you spoke his name, saw him, or even thought about him, he could sense you and kill you.
He was the being who drank the blood of the Dragon Race and used the feathers of the Phoenix as clothing.
He was that terrifying.
But just like Saint Arka, they felt that the Ancient Saints had praised the Demon Ancestor for far too long.
With the golden age of Saints producing powerful beings one after another, they believed they could even kill the Demon Ancestor.
And Saint Arka would be the first to test that belief.
"Hahaha, coming from a kid who isn’t even twenty million years old. How enlightening."
Void spoke with a grin.
"Then come. I will kill a Saint today."
Everyone’s hearts shook.
What?
Did the Great Demon Ancestor just proclaim that he would kill a Saint?
Rank 4 creatures were almost impossible to kill.
But coming from the Great Demon Ancestor...
They feared it might actually be possible.
After all, his horrors and past deeds had become nothing short of horror stories to most of them while they were growing up.
The powerhouses from Rank 2 to Quasi-Rank 4 were frightened, while the Rank 4 entities watched in anticipation.
How strong was the being who was said to have fought against the Ancient Saints?
The being the Ancient Saints couldn’t kill and had been forced to seal away?
Meanwhile, Void was excited.
He could actually kill a Saint.
And there was one reason for this.
Within the Fitel, there were two kinds of powerhouses.
The first were the Unchained.
The second were the Intat.
Both had their own advantages and disadvantages.
The Unchained were beings like Void—free powerhouses who weren’t connected to any realm, world, or universe.
They were truly free.
However, once they encountered an Intat—beings attached to a world, realm, or universe—they could kill the Intat by destroying the world they were connected to.
The advantage of being an Intat was that they were blessed by the realm.
After all, they were a part of it.
However, there was also a major disadvantage.
Even if they were technically immortal, because they were attached to a realm, world, or universe, once that universe was destroyed or affected, they would be destroyed as well.
But when fighting within their own world, universe, or realm, Intat beings were far more powerful than their Unchained counterparts.
Furthermore, the world, universe, or realm itself would weaken their enemies.
And so, Void could kill this Saint.
All he needed to do was destroy his Origin.
"Impossible."
Saint Arka spoke confidently.
Void grinned.
"Really?"
