Chapter 629: Chapter 628:Last Struggle

Bang!

Bang!

Boom!

The sounds rang out as all of Heaven trembled beneath them.

Nameless dashed forward at incredible speed, cutting apart time, space, and its entirety as it headed straight toward the Rank 5 angel.

Doom!

The ground cracked and exploded. Then, a loud chime rang out as Nameless fell to the ground.

The sword’s gigantic size had been imposing. Outside Heaven, even a universe would have been nothing more than a dust particle to it. Yet that same sword had been broken into nine different pieces.

Its glow dimmed as blood splurged from Void’s mouth.

He felt as though a giant mountain had been placed on his head. His entire body seemed damaged, his Authority of Fear weakened, and his Rules seemed to have lost their power.

Void groaned as the spear remained deeply embedded in his body, inching further and further inside as his guts and everything else were penetrated.

A massive amount of foreign Authority ravaged his entire body as he felt his vision blurring.

"So much for destroying Heaven..."

Pah!

Pah!

The Rank 5 angel slowly walked toward Void, stopping a short distance away. His enormous body dwarfed multiverses, rivaling the full size of Realms.

Void had a spear driven through his chest and into the ground. He was pinned down, unable to move, as he felt his entire body and power being sealed away.

"Even a Rank 6 demon can’t destroy Heaven, not to mention you."

"Atani, was it? It seems you have all forgotten what happened to the Abyss back then. God did it once, and He will do it again. The Abyss will scatter once more, and you demons will lose and be suppressed..."

The Rank 5 angel spoke as though stating a simple fact.

But he didn’t merely speak. Scenes appeared behind him, showing Rank 6 demons being pushed back as they fought against the Rank 6 angels.

Yes, these were not their true forms, nor were they fighting at their peak strength, but this was enough to support Genok’s words.

Void gritted his teeth as he looked at Nameless’s shattered body, his eyes narrowing.

Just then, Genok stretched out his finger and lifted Void’s chin.

"You interest me, demon. How long has it been since we found another Rank 5 being? You are new, so you don’t understand much. You will be sealed until the right time for your freedom. I hope you behave well, or believe me when I say you will wish for death otherwise..."

Genok spoke calmly, his full face now visible.

Genok had never been a "he" but a "she." Her voice returned to its feminine tone, and her long golden hair dangled over her shoulders. Her face was the epitome of beauty, and her body was covered in sleek armor that didn’t hide her beautiful figure one bit.

"Is that what you angels believe?"

Void couldn’t help but ask as Genok chuckled.

"What? You don’t know the history? The angel and demon races are not just powerful races. We are both incarnations of Order and Chaos, and for life to exist and flourish, Order must prevail."

"Yes, Chaos is needed, but since the beginning of time, angels have always been the stronger counterpart, even against the original Abyss. A new Rank 5 demon isn’t suddenly going to change that."

Genok spoke, her feminine voice like a whisper directly in Void’s ear.

He frowned lightly.

She wasn’t lying. He was but a newborn child compared to other Rank 5 and even Rank 6 beings.

He didn’t know much about the past or what had actually happened. There was a lot he didn’t fully understand, but one thing was certain.

He was Void.

His words were not meaningless.

He had said he would destroy Heaven.

He definitely would.

Maybe he wasn’t strong enough right now, but one day, Void would destroy Heaven and everything that stood in his way.

But for now, he had something else to do.

Void took a deep breath as Genok’s expression changed.

Badum.

Badum...

Ba...

Crack...

Void breathed out slowly as he opened his crimson eyes.

He had finally completed his breakthrough and reached low-level Rank 5, but with the title of Son of the Abyss.

He was at the Quasi Middle level Rank 5 demon. His strength was terrifying, yet compared to Genok, it wasn’t enough to give her a headache.

One could tell from her reaction. She merely raised an eyebrow and didn’t even take a defensive stance.

"Was that your attack, or just a bluff?"

Genok genuinely asked. She had thought Void was about to attack, and one of the reasons she could remain still was that her Authorities were already inside Void.

If he tried to use his power to attack her, it would be swallowed up, and he would be drained.

She was confident that Void’s attack couldn’t even touch her.

But now...

"Wait... What did you do?"

Suddenly, Genok turned around, and her expression changed as she discovered that Void’s sword was gone.

And that wasn’t the worst part.

You see, Nameless’s attack had never stopped. It had shattered the barrier, and now an attack from a Rank 5 being was descending upon Heaven.

The other Rank 5 and Rank 6 angels had sent out their clones to attack the demons while they themself were asleep.

The highest power currently present in Heaven, apart from her, was Quasi Rank 5. Against Void’s attack, they stood no chance.

Although Heaven wouldn’t be destroyed, it would be damaged, resulting in the loss of an infinite number of Rank 3 beings and below.

"How dare you!"

Genok disappeared instantly, reappearing at the top of Heaven as she tanked the attack.

Meanwhile, Void chuckled as he held the spear’s handle.

With blood on his lips, he muttered, "Goodbye, old friend."

Clench!

Void’s neck was grabbed directly by Genok as she lifted him into the air.

A strand of her hair fell to the ground.

Yes, Nameless’s attack had only caused a strand of her hair to fall. She hadn’t been destroyed; it had merely been severed from her.

Void grinned as he looked at Genok, whose eyes were blazing.

"Tch... Nice play," Genok said with a smile.

"Why, thank you," Void replied.

Crack!

******

Far away in space, distant from all the chaos surrounding Heaven and the Abyss, space ripped apart as Nameless’s body approached.

It trembled, mourning its owner, before going still.

Then, the nine pieces drifted away.
