Chapter 273: Kidnapped

Both Barry and Osvaldo rushed down the stairs and out of the mansion to the security standing by the door. "Did Penny leave this mansion today." Barry asked the man and Osvaldo rushed towards the back to see the gate open.

"Did the gardener come here with his car?" Osvaldo asked and Barry nodded gently.

"He said he was a professional and that he always moved with his car." Barry explained.

"My penguin has been kidnapped. Alert the others, I’ll go after them." Osvaldo ran towards the gate and Barry ran like a mad man back into the mansion. He screamed from the lounge alerting all of the maids.

"Go around, search for Penny. Oh God please, let her be in this mansion. Please let her not be kidnapped." If everything Osvaldo said to him was true about what they were planning for his niece, then she’s in serious trouble.

"What’s going on, Mary and Xavier ran down the stairs the moment they heard the commotion.

"Landon and I were talking..." Barry tried to catch his breath as he spoke. "I... I hired a gardener, I think he’s a kidnapper." Xavier panicked immediately.

"What are you talking about?" Xavier asked. The servants Barry had asked to check for Penny, returned with Hughes. "We can’t find Miss Penny anywhere." The said.

"What’s going on, I left her in the room, how is she missing?" Xavier panicked in that instant, he picked up his phone and keys and ran out of the mansion. Barry did too.

"Barry, wait for me. Oh my God." Mary ran out too behind her husband. She didn’t understand what was happening. How was Penny kidnapped from inside their mansion.

They were all in there. There’s no way anyone could have kidnapped Penny.

"What’s really going on?" Mary asked Barry when she stepped inside his car.

"Os... Landon told me a few things and what he had discovered after the science project. He said the same people that had gone after the Adkins were going to come for Penny. One for her intelligence, and two because she was carrying the Adkins heir. They are in desperate need of a genius.

Penny is the next smart thing. She has discovered the cure for the world’s biggest sickness. Do you know how much money she’s stolen from the government?" Barry turned to his wife as he drove out behind his brother.

Xavier didn’t know where he was going to, but he drove. He needed to save his daughter. He could drive to the airport, to the shore, to anywhere just to find Penny.

She was already five months pregnant. In the remaining months she’ll have her children. He knew the science project was a stupid idea, and her revealing the cure she found was also the dumbest things to do, but he wanted to support her in anything she does.

If those people had his child, he knew what they’d do to her, and he didn’t want that.

Osvaldo turned on his cellphone as he drove, "close the port." The person in charge went ahead and closed the port. There was no movement anymore, no one could travel in or out of the country anymore.

He made another call, "Nothing flys out or in. Close all airport." His men went into action immediately. They shut down the entire airport. Those who were already on air had to drop in the nearest city, but the country Osvaldo was in has been shut down.

He called another number, "Bring me everyone who entered this city in the last forty-eight hours. If my wife bleeds even once, I will bury families." He said and ended the call calmly.

The only way anyone can escape now, is if they have wings to fly, or dig the ground which he highly doubts. He hoped when he discovered that Penny was gone was not already too late and that she was still in here.

Fuck that! He’ll burn down earth if he doesn’t find his Penguin. The world would become desert.

They must have done it to his father, but they tend to forget he was not his father. He was a mad man.

Mad people go overboard.

The Adkins armies began their search. They were more than 5000 men dressed in black, with black mask on their faces as they moved from door to door, cat to car, city to city in search of one woman. The wife of the madman.

Polar stared at the sleeping woman in the car, his body shaking profusely. He had thought he’d make it to the airport in time with her, but now everywhere was blocked. He didn’t know whether to leave her and run or just pretend and carry her back into their mansion again.

This was his only chance and he blew it.

He was in a traffic, there were line ot cars ahead and behind, and then there was the sleeping Penny beside him. Polar panicked, he had not thought this through.

A stepped out of his car and went ahead to know what was happening and why they were on hold, when he got back, Polar called the man. "Kind sir, my wife is really sick, what’s going on ahead?" The man stared at Penny in the couch, sleeping soundly, even smacking her lips after eating a delicious roasted duck.

She had told the new Gardner earlier that ducks were her favorite food at the moment and he went to get them for her. What she didn’t know was that he had put some sleeping injections in it. When Penny ate them, she immediately felt dizzy and fell in his arms.

Polar had celebrated. He had no idea it would be this easy kidnapping the Bloodsworth heiress and Adkins heirs in her. Both he and his people have got hold in their arms. They have brains they could milk for centuries to come.

"It’d some stupid security men, they seem to be searching for a pregnant woman. Probably one of those spoilt brats who hates being married to old men." The man said gently.

"Okay, thank you." Polar saw him walk away. This meant they were looking for Penny. This is not good. It hadn’t even been thirty minutes since he left the mansion. Should he leave her in here and walk away?

This people would definitely catch him. Maybe he could lie to the people back home and continue gardening. He needs to be sure when to take her away and when not.
