Achieving Nothing, I Can Only Be the Pirate King

Chapter 1192 - 699: O’hara Products, Guaranteed Excellence!

The central and western seas in the latter half are calmer compared to those furious sea regions, so they are well-known among sailors who tend to navigate through this area.

At this moment, several ships are sailing across the sea.

Most of them are pirate ships flying the skull flag. A few are merchant ships looking to head to O’hara for some profitable deal after reading the news.

Merchant ships in the midst of pirate ships are likened to sheep ready for slaughter, but not all sheep are the same. These merchant ships are quite feisty; no matter how the pirate ships pursue them, they can’t catch up, and they even find time to fire a few cannons.

Bang!

Bang bang!

The merchant ship and the pursuing pirate ship fired cannons almost simultaneously, the flying shells brushed past each other in the air and splashed into the seawater, raising waves of water.

The merchant ship’s shell struck the left side of the pirate ship’s sea area, while the pirate ship’s shell trailed behind and clipped into the water at the merchant ship’s stern.

Good accuracy but obviously underestimated the speed.

Bang!

Soon, the merchant ship fired another shell, hitting a mast of one of the pursuing pirate ships, exploding with smoke, breaking the mast amidst the smoke.

"Hahahahaha! Looks stupid!"

A merchant wearing fur and a round hat stood on the railing at the stern, raised his middle finger towards the pirate ship behind him, and shouted arrogantly:

"Competing speed with me! You’ve never been to O’hara, you fools! I’ve been to O’hara so many times, who hasn’t heard of the fame of ’Express’ Hazard!? Dream on about robbing me!"

"Fire! Keep firing! Sink all the remaining pirate ships!!"

Bang bang bang!

Under his taunts, the merchant ship’s rear cannon fired several more shots. Although the pirate ships also fired while pursuing, the shells, due to speed issues, either grazed the stern or were deftly avoided by the merchant ship.

And the merchant ship’s shells, although mostly hitting the pirate ships’ edges, were powerful enough. A direct hit either blasted through the deck and into the ship’s cabin, causing a panic to patch it up, or knocked over a mast, significantly reducing the pirate ship’s sailing capacity.

Soon, several pursuing pirate ships were hit by cannonballs and remained in the sea, either moving slowly or completely still, watching the merchant ship gradually sail away.

The merchant proudly moved from the rear deck to the center, smiling at those around him: "What a pity! If not for several more, I’d sink them all and fetch some unexpected loot!"

Upon hearing this, some crew members laughed, while others turned pale, their faces showing fear.

Those were pirates!

"Boss, you’re incredible!"

An intern on the merchant ship showed admiration, "You actually repelled several pirate ships! Those were pirates, and we’re just a merchant ship! Not only couldn’t they catch up, but they were hit too!"

Merchant ships are supposed to be slower than pirate ships.

Size and cargo issues are the unavoidable core.

As a merchant ship, cargo weight must be considered, making it not only larger but also with a deeper draft.

Pirate ships don’t need to consider much; even the flagship of a top pirate won’t be as big as the largest merchant ship. They have no cargo aside from people and food, making them mid-sized or even small ships for fast pursuit and robbery.

Usually, a merchant ship encountering pirate ships has little chance to escape; they either fight back with cannons disabling the pirate ship’s sailing capability or get boarded and defeated.

Although the merchant ship’s hired guards are decent, pirates in the New World are even better; dealing with pirates rich in robbery and fighting experience inevitably ends in failure over time.

But this time, their boss not only sailed a presumably bulky merchant ship but also used it to evade pirate pursuit and counterattacked the fierce pirates!

How could this not shock the newly joined people!

Moreover, the boss has changed.

They know very well; the boss was always cautious in previous sea businesses, always trying to gather intelligence before setting sail and praying not to encounter pirates.

But after reading a disaster report, the boss changed completely, eagerly heading to O’hara.

They’ve heard of disasters; besides being the most notorious Pirate Emperor, it was said the territory allowed business, but pirates nonetheless, why did it excite the boss so much?

Furthermore, the boss became so mayhem...

"It’s not me who’s impressive, it’s O’hara! It’s this ship that’s impressive!"

The merchant clicked the mast excitedly, "Some of you are seeing it for the first time; whenever I sailed to other places, I never used this ship! This ship is my treasure! Produced by O’hara, strong against winds, high agility, flexible in steering, and the material quality withstands storms! Such a ship costs only five billion Belly!"

"Fi-five billion?!"

The newbies were taken aback, stammering: "But I heard that on the other side of the Red Earth Continent, the prosperous Water Seven, a standard merchant ship costs only three and a half billion..."

"Can a Water Seven ship sail up here?!"

The merchant countered irritably: "Right now it’s possible, but who can pass through the Gate of Justice, that’s not a place for ordinary people to go! Besides, can a ship from Water Seven surpass the quality of ships from O’hara? This is the masterpiece of Renedia!"
