Achieving Nothing, I Can Only Be the Pirate King
Chapter 1195 - 700: Pirate Convention
After many days, O’Hara once again had a large number of ships docked at its port, bustling with pirates and merchants throughout.
Since Blackbeard and the Red Hair attacked O’Hara, Sage nearly halted all foreign trade; even after taking out the Red Hair, it only resolved his own business operations, unrelated to outsiders.
During that time, not only did O’haras hope Sage could win, but outsiders like merchants and those pirates relying on O’Hara also hoped for Sage’s victory.
The Red Hair couldn’t offer them anything; Blackbeard would only rob. Where had they seen a disaster so good, that would bring them wealth together?
Moreover, the disaster was noble; the promise was kept for the first part, and even if he crossed over the second half, he would retreat, leaving it for these pirates.
Although pirates from the first half mingled with them, the space left by Blackbeard and the Red Hair went peacefully.
"Is this O’Hara?"
The many pirates landing left the port, looking around, amazed by O’Hara’s splendor.
"Captain!"
A subordinate couldn’t hold back, spat hard, drew the blade from his waist, and roared, "This place is amazing! I can’t hold it, I really can’t hold it, I want to..."
Before he finished speaking, the passing residents twisted their waists, revealing the firearms at their sides.
The sunlight reflected on the metal also dazzled these people, making their eyes hurt.
The pirates eager to rob the prosperity subconsciously gulped, silently sheathed the blade, and chuckled awkwardly:
"I want, I want... I want to change weapons; the blade’s rusted."
Upon hearing this, the pedestrians put away their firearms and continued forward.
But before the pirate could relax, an old lady stood before him, blocking his view.
The elderly lady held an iron rod and had a handgun at her waist, the other hand akimbo, energetically shouting:
"Spitting fines, ten thousand Belly!"
"Fine, fine?"
The pirate froze, "A fine for what? Is there a fine for spitting?"
"This street prohibits spitting, of course there’s a fine for it!" The old lady declared righteously.
"No, I saw them spit too!"
The pirate turned around, pointing at a passing pedestrian, who indeed coughed and spat.
The old lady looked over, exchanged smiles, and greeted the passerby.
"He paid up." The elderly woman turned back, her expression darkened.
"What’s this, what’s this!"
The pirate froze, exclaiming, "Why doesn’t he get fined for spitting? What do you mean paid up; I didn’t see him take out any money! Granny, you can’t bully me for being an outsider!"
"Who’s bullying you? Bullying outsiders from the Outer Sea? As long as you behave, no one bullies you. He’s a local, pays taxes! There’s a cleaning fee in the tax money. Spitting may mean bad manners, but aside from that, even if he defecates on the street, it wouldn’t be illegal!"
The old lady extended a hand, "You’re not from O’Hara, you need to pay a fine!"
"Is it bullying?"
The pirate protested, "If I don’t pay..."
Before he could finish, a squad of armed security officers walked past, each holding a large gun requiring two hands, intimidating enough to silence anyone.
Before the pirate spoke, their captain stepped forward, handed over a ten thousand Belly note to the elderly lady.
"Be mindful in the future; this street doesn’t allow outsiders to spit... Don’t look at me like that; it’s the regulation set above. If you’re not satisfied, become an O’Hara resident."
The elderly lady accepted the bill and left.
Leaving the pirate stunned.
Aside from those within O’Hara borders—no, even they rested on other islands occasionally; whether due to stationed security officers or O’Hara residents being protected by Sage, island dwellers weren’t afraid of them, but at most didn’t provoke each other, fairly treated.
But the people of this Royal City were indeed different.
They were pirates!
Especially somewhat famous.
The captain’s bounty reached three hundred and thirty million Belly. The crew all had bounties, including the fined subordinate, exceeding a combined five hundred million Belly, notable even in the New World.
Yet, their non-recognition aside, seeing their ferocious demeanor, even those unfamiliar should be slightly fearful.
But not one feared them; even less than the dock counterparts, at least thought best not to engage.
The people here seemed to ignore these bloodthirsty pirates, treating them like ordinary people.
Yet the more like this, the less angry and more cautious they became.
This is the place of the disaster, a bounty of seven billion Belly, surpassing the Four Emperors, becoming the sole Pirate Emperor!
The more this way, the more they felt deservedly so.
"What’s wrong with O’Hara?"
The pirate protested, "It’s not that I don’t want to be an O’Hara resident! It’s just short of money! If I had the cash, I’d have done it long ago!"
Now entering O’Hara isn’t easy; you either follow the disaster’s official channels, find a place as a refugee, then wait for the disaster to recruit refugees one day to become O’Hara citizens.
