Chapter 1458: Chapter 22: Persia (2)

The foundation of cooperation between the United Kingdom and East Africa was established during World War I, focusing on the division of influence in the Indian Ocean. At that time, East Africa and the United Kingdom defined their respective spheres of influence in the Indian Ocean.

Regarding Persia, a semi-independent nation, East Africa and the United Kingdom initially agreed that neither would take further actions in Persia.

Originally, the United Kingdom exerted a strong influence over Persia, which implied East Africa tacitly acknowledged Britain’s dominant role in Persia.

However, to counter the Russian Labor Party’s ideological expansion, the United Kingdom had no choice but to invite East Africa as a balancing force against the Russian Labor Party.

"Your Majesty, Ahmed, and noble members of the Persian Kingdom, I believe you are aware of the situation in Russia. If you continue internal struggles, the inevitable outcome would resemble that of Russia’s Tsarist government, facing execution by the Persian populace."

"Therefore, the stance of our United Kingdom is that the internal strife in Persia must cease at the current stage. Everyone should prioritize countering Russia. If anyone lacks foresight during this period, we don’t mind assisting Persia in eliminating the hidden ’Labor Party’ elements."

With overwhelming presence, Major-General Cabriel, the future head of the East African military advisory group in Persia, announced to the Persian government officials.

Now, East Africa and the United Kingdom are reluctant even to negotiate with the Persian government, opting instead for intimidation and deterrence to make them recognize their position and duties.

The Persians, facing this formidable East African officer, dared not utter any complaints.

None other than the fact that East Africa, a rising force in the Indian Ocean, boasts significant military achievements, having eradicated over a dozen nations and regions.

Just last year, East Africa eliminated the remaining resistance forces entrenched in northeastern Somali, and the year before, East Africa instigated a dreadful massacre in the Kra Isthmus, within the former territory of Siam.

Exaggerating slightly, one could say that in the first two decades of the twentieth century, East Africa changed the color of the Indian Ocean’s waters.

Its adverse impact surpasses that of the old colonial powers like Portugal, Spain, France, and the United Kingdom.

Its nature is even more vicious; while other colonizers primarily aimed for wealth, East Africa implemented a thorough policy of national extermination.

Therefore, East Africa is considered a symbol of terror for many nations along the Indian Ocean and Nanyang coasts, even capable of stopping children from crying at night.

In this way, former malicious figures like the British and Russians, in the eyes of Persian monarchs and ministers, seem more benevolent, although the Russian Labor Party still does not count.

Compared with East Africa, Russia’s threat to Persia is more pronounced now, especially targeting the ruling class of Persia, as the Russian Labor Party is specifically against people like them.

King Ahmed of the Qajar Dynasty nervously said to Cabriel, the butcher, "Esteemed East African envoy, how should we cooperate with your country and the British government?"

Today, Persia’s ruling dynasty is known as the Lazar Dynasty, which established Tehran as Persia’s capital.

The Qajar Dynasty in Persia represents foreign rule; King Ahmed’s ancestors originally hailed from the northern Turkic tribes, and Agha Mohammad Khan, founder of the Lazar Dynasty, chose Tehran as the capital due to its proximity to his traditional tribal lands.

The name ’Qajar’ stems from an old Turkic tribal name, so the formal name for Persia today is the Lazar Dynasty, although external references still call it Persia.

In response to King Ahmed’s inquiry, Major-General Cabriel displayed a friendly expression and said, "Your Majesty, you need not worry. Our East Africa holds goodwill towards the Qajar Royal Family. Our fundamental purpose in coming to Persia is to address Russia, this world’s poison and parasite."

Regarding King Ahmed, Cabriel’s attitude differs mainly because this "Benevolent Monarch" is a relatively "inactive" ruler.

Even many Persians believe he is somewhat weak, with only a few supporters claiming he’s uninterested in governmental affairs.

Ironically, this type of person tends to attract more attention from the East African government, which, as the leader in the Indian Ocean region, doesn’t wish for a proactive monarch in Persia.

Historically, the Pahlavi Dynasty, which overthrew the Lazar Dynasty, was quite active but ended poorly.

East Africa prefers Persia to maintain its current status, which resembles a semi-lifeless condition, preferably preserving its monarchy.

In the Indian Ocean domain, there are four nations that qualify as Great Powers: firstly, East Africa, followed by the United Kingdom based in India, then the Ottoman Empire, and finally Persia.

Although Persia’s strength is inadequate to match the above three nations, not even challenging the Ottoman Empire, a pseudo-power.

Persia’s potential should not be underestimated; historically, it has always been an influential political force in the Indian Ocean region.
