Chapter 1469: Chapter 26: Bullying the Weak, Fearing the Strong (2)
After all, the prevalence of electricity in Ukraine is far inferior to that of the United Kingdom and France, and even more so to powerhouses like Germany, the United States, and East Africa.
Therefore, imagine that in the snowy and dark winter nights, except for a few high-end consumer places, the majority of shops can only choose to shut down.
In addition to these objective restrictions, Ukraine’s security is also a major issue, especially just after the country has emerged from chaos.
Thus, even if lighting was truly as prevalent as in cities in the United States and East Africa, no ordinary person would dare to wander the cold streets at night.
Places open at night are obviously beyond the reach of small figures like Jayka and Sirodine; they are either high-end consumer venues or casinos run by criminal forces.
The former relate to the elites of Xiqueslav City, while the latter are not something Jayka and Sirodine would dare to provoke, lest they find themselves dead in the street the next day.
In short, Jayka’s motto for survival in Xiqueslav City is to bully the weak and fear the strong.
And according to the principle of bullying the weak and fearing the strong, the Labor Party organizations that dare to fight and confront the government are naturally included, so if Jayka truly encounters the Labor Party, he’s likely to pretend he hasn’t seen them and choose to flee.
And there are plenty of people like Jayka within the Ukrainian government, so the idea of Xiqueslav City completely eradicating the Labor Party is virtually impossible.
Thus, while the anti-Labor group in Xiqueslav City is "actively" working, the Ukrainian Labor Party and the Russian Labor Party are actively planning a new campaign in Xiqueslav City.
In a residence in Xiqueslav City, Russian delegate Malinkov is explaining the current situation to everyone in detail.
"In recent days, the army in Yekaterinoslav City has been undergoing major deployments, and according to reliable information, the 47th Division will cross the Dnieper River and head to the Donbass region."
"After observations over the past few days, the Ukrainian puppet 47th Division is indeed packing up baggage and supplies, and just yesterday, the division’s headquarters also moved towards Donbass with the army."
The current border line between Ukraine and Russia is near Donbass, and according to the treaty signed between the Russian Labor Party and the Allies, this border line is divided based on the actual control areas of both sides at the time.
"And most fortunately, the 37th Division, which we’ve infiltrated extremely thoroughly, remains in the area. In recent days, we’ve newly developed several important personnel in the army: a battalion commander and several company commanders from the 37th Division, which increases the number of people we can mobilize to almost 4000."
"Although the 37th Division publicly claims a total of 14,000 people, in reality, it only has a little over 12,000, meaning that the number of troops loyal to the Ukrainian puppet government is approximately 8,000."
"The enemy-to-us ratio has reached 2:1, which further reduces the difficulty of our uprising. As long as we utilize the troops we can influence and coordinate with the workers in Yekaterinoslav, we can seize control of Yekaterinoslav in one fell swoop."
"And as long as we control Yekaterinoslav, we can cut off the critical transport and supply lines of the Ukrainian puppet army, cooperating with the Russian Red Army to deal a fatal blow to the Ukrainian puppet troops on the east bank of the Dnieper River."
"After all, Yekaterinoslav City is a critical city along the Dnieper River. By controlling it, we can cut off the puppet army’s roads and railways, and sever the Dnieper River, temporarily disrupting north-south river transport connections."
"In this way, the grain, supplies, and weapon transport of the upstream Ukrainian puppet troops will be impacted."
"It’s fair to say that Yekaterinoslav City has now become a critical node affecting the overall war situation, hence we must carefully think through and deploy the next tasks, to open the path eastward for the liberation of the Ukrainian people for our motherland."
Under dim light, Malinkov passionately shared his thoughts with the Labor Party members in Yekaterinoslav.
The Ukrainian Labor Party representative, Toma Jefuka, said with shining eyes, "Comrade Malinkov, what’s the next step? We’re all ready to follow your lead."
After a period of contact and cooperation, this member of the Ukrainian Labor Party has become completely respectful of Malinkov and other elite troops sent by Russia.
In less than a dozen days, Malinkov and his team have dramatically changed the enemy-to-us dynamics in Yekaterinoslav, as the Ukrainian puppet government called it Xiqueslav City.
They swiftly garnered a substantial amount of support from officers and soldiers in the military. In factories and the railway system, leveraging his wealth of experience, Malinkov skillfully organized and trained workers in fighting experience and capacity.
This so-called fighting experience can be said to be semi-militarized, because Malinkov required workers to possess certain military capabilities to prevent unexpected incidents on the military front.
With their wide-reaching connections, Malinkov and others acquired several hundred real guns through unknown means. With this batch of weapons, they can immediately organize workers to seize police stations and arsenals at the outset of the uprising.
After all, police stations are equipped with weapons, and arsenals need no further explanation. If they succeed, they can further arm another batch of workers, forming a temporary worker army alongside the turned troops to achieve control over Yekaterinoslav.
