Chapter 103: Chapter 103: Big Brother’s Here, Kick Here

Sienna Everett was caught completely off guard by the kiss, her pupils dilating in shock.

Julian Forrester didn’t deepen the kiss, only brushing his lips lightly against hers.

He then pulled back slightly, gently nuzzling her soft, pale cheek with the bridge of his nose.

This kind of intimate gesture between lovers was even more suggestive than a simple kiss.

A jolt ran through Sienna Everett. She could feel her heart pound violently in her chest as her hands unconsciously clutched the edge of the covers.

Forgetting to even blink, she stared straight at him. Her beautiful eyes shimmered, making her already delicate features even more dazzlingly beautiful.

"Julian Forrester, you..."

’Why did he suddenly kiss me? Last time, he kissed me out of the blue, too.’

Sienna Everett’s eyelashes finally fluttered as a belated wave of indignation washed over her.

"I’m breaking things off with... Mmph..."

She hadn’t even gotten the last word out before the man’s lips sealed hers again.

This time, he didn’t hold back.

His kiss was forceful and searing, carrying a possessive heat.

Sienna Everett felt as if the air had been stolen from her lungs. Forced to tilt her chin up to meet his kiss, her clear eyes misted over, the outer corners tinged with crimson.

She didn’t know how long it lasted.

Julian finally let her go. The pad of his finger gently stroked her glistening, swollen lips, his gaze dark. "Breaking what off with me? Hmm?"

His demeanor suggested that if she dared to say it again, he would just kiss her again.

Of course, Sienna Everett caught the threat in his words. Puffing her cheeks in a huff, she said, "You’re so annoying."

The man chuckled, his laugh laced with a sexy huskiness that made her ears tingle. "You’re so cute."

Sienna Everett snapped her mouth shut.

Julian Forrester watched her with a dark gaze. "So, do you know what I want for my birthday now?"

Sienna felt uneasy under his gaze, her voice soft. "...I know."

His gaze grew deeper as his long, slender fingers gently caressed her cheek.

Then, the next second, Sienna’s face scrunched up. "You just want to... fulfill our marital duties."

Julian Forrester froze for a second. "?"

’Although, he did want that, too.’

’But that wasn’t what he’d meant just now.’

Sienna pouted and said bluntly, "You said it last time at the hospital. According to the divorce agreement, we have to fulfill our marital duties."

’After they got back from the hospital last time, he’d kissed her while he was perfectly lucid. He’d kissed her again today. It looked like he was really eager to fulfill those duties, but... ’

Sienna’s eyes flickered down toward his lap before she quickly looked away. "If you’re that desperate, you should... go take care of it yourself!"

At her words, Julian Forrester’s expression darkened, and he almost let out an exasperated laugh.

’Take care of it myself, she says.’

He watched her in silence for a long moment before finally speaking. "But what if I want you?"

Sienna froze instantly. She blinked once, then twice. "What did you say right before that?"

Julian Forrester didn’t understand why she was suddenly asking, but he recalled his previous question and repeated it. "So, do you know what I want for my birthday now?"

Sienna answered decisively, "I have no idea!"

’It wasn’t that she was going back on her word. It was just that a birthday wish involving ’fulfilling marital duties’ was one she simply couldn’t grant!’

Sienna grabbed the covers, pulled them over her head, and unilaterally declared herself asleep.

Julian Forrester looked at the round lump on the bed, his tongue pressing against the inside of his cheek. He slowly stood up straight, his expression a half-smile that held a hint of danger. "When did my Sienna become so timid?"

Sienna ground her teeth. Her head was still buried under the covers, but she shot one leg out, trying to kick him.

But since she couldn’t see, her leg just flailed about, kicking nothing but air.

Seeing her childish yet adorable antics, Julian Forrester’s brow twitched upward almost imperceptibly, and the frustration in his chest vanished.

He leaned down, and his warm hand suddenly closed around her slender, pale ankle.

Sienna’s entire back went rigid.

But Julian just held her ankle, pulling her foot toward his leg. He drawled, "I’m right here. Kick here."

Sienna’s heart gave a strange lurch.

A strange, burning itch bloomed where the man’s hand held her ankle, sending shivers across her skin.

Sienna kicked out tentatively, very, very lightly, and actually made contact.

She felt a jolt, as if from an electric shock, and instantly yanked her leg back under the covers.

Julian Forrester looked at the little quail who had once again curled into a ball. He raised an eyebrow but didn’t say anything else.

...

The night passed and the rain stopped. The morning air was exceptionally fresh, and raindrops rolled slowly across flower petals.

The Old Master and Keith Sterling had stayed the night at Veridian Gardens, so everyone had breakfast together in the morning.

After breakfast, the Old Master and Julian Forrester went to the study to discuss some matters.

Sienna sat on the sofa in the living room, nibbling on some fruit.

Making himself more at home than in his own house, Keith Sterling plopped down next to Sienna, picked up a small fork, and speared a piece of cantaloupe. "Sister-in-law, I hear the Everetts are pulling all the strings they can to get Mason Everett out of jail."

Sienna wasn’t surprised. "I figured as much."

Keith Sterling was astonished. "You did?"

Sienna just hummed.

’No matter what, the Everett Family still has some power. They wouldn’t just stand by and watch Mason go to prison.’

’But having a prison record would be a stain on Mason Everett’s name for the rest of his life—one he could never wash away.’

’More importantly, the reputations of Mason Everett, the Everett Family, and the Everett Group were utterly ruined.’

’Ruined to the point that everyone online knew about it, with no chance of a comeback or a PR spin to save them.’

Keith Sterling scrolled through the news on his phone, grinning from ear to ear.

"Sister-in-law, check this out! The Everett Group’s stock price has hit rock bottom! And for their most important projects, as soon as word got out that their CEO was in jail, their partners launched emergency risk assessments and started pulling their funding one after another. All the projects have been forced to a halt!"

Keith Sterling gave her a thumbs-up. "Sister-in-law, that move of yours practically crippled the Everett Family."

The Everett Family was never considered top-tier among Aethelburg’s elite, and now they’ve fallen even further.

The more Keith Sterling spoke, the more gleeful he became. "Sister-in-law, you think that fake heiress, Shannon Everett, wanted the Everett Family’s fortune, right? Well, too bad for her! The family fortune has shrunk massively. She must be furious, right? Wait, I just realized—you killed three birds with one stone! You took down several people in the Everett Family at once!"

Sienna’s head started to ache from his non-stop chattering. "If you keep rambling on, you’re going to talk me to death."

Keith Sterling immediately let out a dramatic wail, complaining pitifully, "You think I’m annoying! Aren’t you my dearest sister-in-law anymore?!"

Sienna answered without a shred of guilt, "I’m not."

Keith Sterling immediately took ten thousand points of emotional damage and ran off in tears.
