Chapter 113: Chapter 113: Slapping the Faces of Mason Everett and Shannon Everett

Sienna Everett couldn’t resist another glance, just to be sure she wasn’t seeing things.

Julian Forrester had pinned her on WhatsApp, placing her at the very top of his contact list.

The shocking part was, she was his *only* pinned contact.

Even more shocking was the strange, unconventional name Julian Forrester had saved her as—

’What do these two random numbers mean?’

Sienna Everett mulled it over. ’My birthday isn’t June 1st.’

’How weird.’

Just as Sienna Everett was puzzling over it, the man curled his index finger and gently flicked her forehead. "What are you daydreaming about?"

Sienna Everett snapped out of it, rubbing her forehead. She decided to get to the point. "I texted you earlier to see if you were asleep because there’s something I need to tell you."

He walked over to the sofa and sat down. "Hm?"

Sienna Everett followed him over. "I was chatting with Keith Sterling and let it slip. He knows we’ve been sleeping separately. Will he tell Grandpa?"

Upon hearing this, Julian Forrester lifted his gaze to look at her.

After a few seconds, the man’s long fingers tapped the arm of the sofa. His lazy drawl was laced with a hint of mock regret—for her sake.

"What should we do? I guess Sierra will have to sleep with me every day from now on."

Sienna Everett was speechless.

’She was already mentally prepared. She’d figured Keith Sterling wouldn’t be able to keep his mouth shut and would definitely tell Grandpa.’

’Whatever. If they had to sleep in the same bed, so be it. It wasn’t as if they hadn’t done it before.’

Remembering the strange contact name, Sienna Everett couldn’t help but ask, "Julian Forrester, is my birthday in June?"

The man raised an eyebrow, stood, and placed the back of his hand on her forehead. "Have you gone silly?" he teased.

"Forgetting your own birthday now?"

Sienna Everett was speechless.

’Of course she hadn’t forgotten.’

’It was just that "61" was so weird.’

...

That morning, Sienna Everett went to the airport to pick up Evan Shelby. He was coming to Celestria for an extended stay.

Evan Shelby was of mixed heritage, his original surname being Casbut.

The Casbutt Family was one of the ten most noble and ancient families in Elysia. He’d chosen his Celestian name, Evan Shelby, by drawing lots.

Years ago, Sienna Everett and Evan Shelby had founded G.Y. together.

She arrived at the airport.

Sienna Everett, wearing a face mask, got out of her car and immediately spotted a large crowd of reporters swarming the exit.

That guy, Evan Shelby, just loved the spotlight. His itinerary for this trip to Celestria, for instance, hadn’t been kept secret at all. The moment reporters heard one of G.Y.’s founders was arriving in Celestria, they flocked over with their DSLRs and telephoto lenses, ready for a photo op.

Seeing the swarm of reporters, Sienna Everett immediately turned to leave.

But she hadn’t taken more than two steps before a sharp-eyed reporter recognized her. He rushed over, shouting her name. "Sienna Everett! Sienna Everett’s over there!"

The reporter’s shout made all the nearby passersby turn and look in her direction.

Some of them were Sienna Everett’s fans, who immediately shrieked with excitement and swarmed her.

Sienna Everett’s head began to ache.

Now there was no hope of leaving.

She watched as some of the more overexcited fans pushed forward, making the crowd so dense it was impossible to move an inch.

Sienna Everett quickly spoke up to de-escalate the situation. "Everyone, please slow down! Don’t push."

Her words sent the fans into another frenzy of screams. ’What a caring idol! Ugh, I love her so much!’ They even started to police themselves and restore order.

The reporters on the outskirts raised their cameras, camera flashes going off so brightly they could blind someone. "Sienna Everett, what brings you to the airport today? Are you traveling abroad soon?"

Sienna Everett answered casually, "I’m picking someone up."

Another reporter followed up, "A friend or a family member?"

But as soon as he asked, a nearby reporter scoffed. "What family does Sienna Everett have? The Everett Family hardly counts as her family!"

Another reporter immediately shushed him. "Keep it down! Mason Everett and Shannon Everett are right over there!"

Hearing this, Sienna Everett raised an eyebrow with interest. She glanced over and, sure enough, spotted the stony-faced Mason Everett with the delicate-looking Shannon Everett by his side.

The moment he saw Sienna Everett, Mason Everett’s expression darkened.

His face clouded over, his disgust and hatred palpable.

Shannon Everett asked softly, "Mason, our sister just said she was here to pick someone up..."

Mason Everett scoffed. "Who could she possibly be picking up? Probably just some low-life friends she’s made. We’re here to wait for Evan Shelby. When he comes out, we have to ask if he can introduce us to Kian."

Shannon Everett nodded obediently. "Okay."

Mason Everett asked, "Shannon, didn’t you say you know Evan Shelby’s assistant?"

Shannon Everett nodded. "Yes, Mason. His assistant and I were classmates in college. I’m sure Evan Shelby brought his assistant with him to Celestria. When he comes out, we can use that connection to get an introduction."

Mason Everett was relieved. "Shannon, I’m so glad you’re here. Otherwise, we wouldn’t even have a chance to connect with Evan Shelby."

If they couldn’t connect with Evan Shelby, they’d have no hope of meeting Kian, let alone saving the Everett Family’s fashion brand.

Thank goodness Shannon knew his assistant. That would make things much easier.

’A sister who could help him like this was a truly good sister, unlike that Sienna Everett, who did nothing but deliberately target and undermine the Everett Family!’

The reporters lying in wait nearby overheard Mason and Shannon’s conversation and began to whisper among themselves in surprise.

"No way. Evan Shelby comes from such a prominent family, and he’s a founder of G.Y. His assistant must be someone special too. And Shannon Everett knows him? Her network is that powerful?"

"Even though Shannon Everett isn’t biologically an Everett, she was raised in the lap of luxury. She’s a bona fide high-society heiress!"

Hearing these compliments, Shannon Everett smoothed her hair, feigning a poised and graceful demeanor, but inwardly, her vanity was immensely satisfied.

’Sienna Everett was here to pick up her deadbeat friends, while she herself had a chance to connect with a founder of G.Y. The immense difference between them filled Shannon with a deep sense of triumph, as if she were grinding Sienna Everett under her heel.’

Just then, a commotion broke out at the airport exit.

Sienna Everett looked up, and a tall, slender figure came into view.

The man was tall and lean, with broad shoulders and a narrow waist—a natural-born model. That, combined with his strikingly handsome face, drew gasps of admiration the moment he appeared.

But what was most stunning were his blue eyes. They were like the sparkling sea, radiating a captivating allure.

When their eyes met, the corners of Sienna Everett’s own bright eyes curved up in a slight smile.

’That Evan Shelby,’ she thought. ’It’s been a while, but he’s still as flamboyant as ever.’

The reporters lying in wait immediately raised their cameras and began to shoot.

Evan Shelby emerged from the airport with his assistant. He was just about to head in Sienna Everett’s direction when someone suddenly rushed over and blocked his path.

"Mr. Shelby, hello. I’m Mason Everett, CEO of the Everett Group. My apologies for approaching you like this, but I felt I had no other choice."

Hearing the name ’Mason Everett,’ Evan Shelby paused and came to a stop.

When Mason saw him stop, a surge of joy welled up inside him. He hadn’t expected to get a chance to speak with Evan Shelby so easily.
