Chapter 161: Chapter 161: Let Me Introduce You, This Is My Husband

After the charity auction segment ended, there was a reception dinner.

The organizers had prepared red wine and desserts. The hall was filled with the clinking of glasses and the mingling of elegantly dressed guests.

Isabelle Sutton was a little hungry, so she pulled Sienna Everett along to get some mini cakes.

Sienna Everett had no appetite. She took out her phone and sent Julian Forrester a WhatsApp message, ready to settle the score with him:

[How could you say those things on stage just now?]

After sending the message, Sienna Everett scanned the flower-adorned banquet hall and found Julian Forrester in less than a second.

The man had an almost unfairly handsome face, a tall and slender figure, and perfectly straight legs. His every move exuded a cool, noble air, making him a presence you would notice at a single glance, even in a crowd.

Sienna Everett watched from afar. As soon as the auction ended, a crowd had gathered around Julian Forrester.

Many people wanted to use this opportunity to curry favor with him.

But unfortunately for them, Julian Forrester’s expression was distant. His eyelashes were slightly lowered, his gaze so cold it was intimidating.

Many who wanted to strike up a conversation grew apprehensive, not daring to approach too closely.

Only those of the highest status, or those who had business with the Forrester Group, dared to continue the conversation.

Sienna Everett watched for a moment before losing interest and looking away. Her gossipy gaze swept across the banquet hall, and—oho—she spotted Yvette Garrison and Orion Hawthorne in a corner.

Orion Hawthorne’s face was a mask of impatience, but Yvette Garrison didn’t seem to mind at all, following beside him with a charming smile.

Perhaps sensing Sienna Everett’s gaze, Orion Hawthorne walked over. "Sienna Everett, I have something to take care of. It’s fine to leave this party early, so I’m heading out."

As Orion Hawthorne had walked over, Yvette Garrison had been following right behind him.

Hearing that Orion Hawthorne was leaving, Yvette Garrison’s delicate brows furrowed slightly, as if she were displeased.

After speaking to Sienna Everett, Orion Hawthorne turned and left the banquet hall.

Yvette Garrison lifted the hem of her dress and followed him.

But Orion Hawthorne walked quickly without a single glance back. Yvette Garrison, in her high heels, naturally couldn’t keep up and lost him.

Sienna Everett watched this scene with an unnameable feeling in her heart.

A moment later, Ian Prescott and Evan Shelby came over.

Evan Shelby squinted his blue eyes and asked doubtfully, "Where’s Keith Sterling? Isn’t he with you?"

Sienna Everett pointed nearby. "See? Over there."

At that moment, Keith Sterling was surrounded by a chattering crowd, feeling utterly helpless. ’These people don’t dare approach the big boss, so they all come to pester me instead!’

A chubby gentleman asked in disbelief, "Mr. Sterling, when Mr. Forrester was on stage just now, he said he’s a fan of Sienna Everett. Is that for real?"

Keith Sterling rolled his eyes. "Of course it’s real!"

Hearing this confirmation, the crowd instantly erupted.

"This Sienna Everett has certainly gotten famous lately, but for even Mr. Forrester to admire her so much... that’s truly surprising."

"No, no, it’s not that surprising, actually. Don’t be fooled by Sienna Everett’s youth; she’s genuinely talented. My younger brother and sister are her fans, too!"

"Now that you mention it, that’s true. A young woman like her is not only the genius composer SG, but also the founder and chief designer of the world-famous luxury brand G.Y. She’s more accomplished than many of us here!"

"No wonder she’s so favored by Mr. Forrester..."

"Do you think the Everett Family, who disowned Sienna Everett, are kicking themselves right now? If you ask me, that fake heiress they’ve always doted on is no match for Sienna Everett at all."

Not far away, Morgan Everett overheard these words, and his expression immediately soured. ’Who says Shannon can’t compare to that brat Sienna Everett?’

’Shannon is so much better than Sienna Everett!’

Morgan Everett’s gaze was heavy. ’As her father, I gave Sienna Everett life. Even if our relationship is poor, as my child, she should rightfully repay me and the Everett Family.’

’Asking Julian Forrester to invest in the Everett Family is the filial piety Sienna Everett ought to show as a daughter...’

Keith Sterling finally escaped the chattering crowd and ran towards Sienna Everett. "Holy crap, I can finally breathe! That bunch is a real handful!"

Sienna Everett handed him a glass of water. "Calm down."

Keith Sterling chuckled. "See? Sierra knows how to take care of me!"

Evan Shelby couldn’t stand it. "What do you mean, ’knows how to take care of you’? Why are you always so sappy?"

Keith Sterling lifted his leg as if to kick him. "Sappy my ass! You don’t know shit!"

Evan Shelby: "..."

Seeing them fooling around, Isabelle Sutton whispered to Sienna Everett that she was going to the restroom.

Sienna Everett nodded and said she would wait for her there.

After Isabelle Sutton left, Keith Sterling and Evan Shelby were still bickering. Ian Prescott was looking at Sienna Everett, about to speak, when he caught sight of Sienna Everett’s admirer—Maxwell Sawyer—approaching.

"Sienna." Maxwell Sawyer walked straight toward Sienna Everett, a gentle smile on his face, as warm as a spring breeze.

Keith Sterling immediately stopped his bickering with Evan Shelby and stared warily at Maxwell Sawyer, wondering what he was up to.

Sienna Everett’s forehead throbbed. Her attitude toward Maxwell Sawyer was polite yet distant. "Did you need something?"

Maxwell Sawyer’s voice was as gentle as ever. "During the auction earlier, I had wanted to bid on your bracelet, but unfortunately, Mr. Forrester won it."

Sienna Everett gave a polite smile and said nothing.

Maxwell Sawyer recalled the moment and said, "When Mr. Forrester was on stage saying he liked you and was your fan, I almost thought I’d misheard."

Sienna Everett could understand his feeling. "I was surprised, too."

The corners of Maxwell Sawyer’s mouth lifted. "Actually, I’m your fan, too."

"...Uh, thank you," Sienna Everett managed.

The moment the words left her mouth, she felt a deep, cold gaze land on her back, carrying an intense, oppressive weight.

Sienna Everett’s back stiffened. She spun around and, unexpectedly, met Julian Forrester’s deep, profound eyes.

And, Julian Forrester was striding toward them with his long legs.

Ian Prescott witnessed this, raising an eyebrow imperceptibly, a flicker of amusement dancing in his eyes.

Maxwell Sawyer was confused for a moment, unable to guess why Julian Forrester was coming over. Nevertheless, he spoke up to greet him, "Mr. Forrester, hello."

Julian Forrester walked to Sienna Everett’s side and stopped. His gaze swept slowly over Maxwell Sawyer with a scrutinizing air, and his tone was flat, without a hint of inflection. "Hello."

After speaking, he lowered his eyes to look at Sienna Everett beside him.

Sienna Everett inexplicably felt that the atmosphere was very strange.

Maxwell Sawyer looked at Sienna Everett and said, "We haven’t been in touch much since high school graduation. We should keep in touch more often when we’re free. There are some design matters I’d like to consult Master Kian about, too."

The instant he finished speaking, Julian Forrester’s eyes narrowed, a frosty chill spreading within them.

Sienna Everett pressed her lips together.

Ever since Keith Sterling told her Maxwell Sawyer liked her, she hadn’t wanted to have too much interaction with him.

So, Maxwell Sawyer’s suggestion to "keep in touch more often" was giving her a major headache.

Sienna Everett thought it over and over. She had to find a once-and-for-all solution to make Maxwell Sawyer give up on those ideas.

Sienna Everett glanced around. There was no one nearby, and no one could overhear their specific conversation.

Sienna Everett glanced at Julian Forrester beside her, then said to Maxwell Sawyer, "I’m afraid we can’t keep in touch often in the future."

Maxwell Sawyer froze at her words, not understanding.

Sienna Everett took a deep breath, suddenly reached out and took Julian Forrester’s hand, and said gravely to Maxwell Sawyer, "I forgot to introduce you. This is Julian Forrester. He’s also my husband."
