Chapter 195: Sienna Everett Is Our Boss Lady
Chapter 195: Chapter 195: Sienna Everett Is Our Boss Lady
When they reached the snow cabin, the resort manager offered a few more compliments before tactfully excusing himself.
Sienna Everett looked around, filled with curiosity and admiration for everything she saw.
A thick layer of snow had accumulated on the triangular eaves of the cabin, looking like a dollop of fluffy cream.
She went inside the cabin with Julian Forrester. The layout was similar to a regular room, complete with heating and a crackling fireplace that occasionally emitted the soft sound of burning wood, making it incredibly warm.
One wall was a massive floor-to-ceiling window. Through the clear glass, she could see the world of ice and snow outside. In a cedar forest not far away, elk were grazing, creating a scene so beautiful and dreamlike it felt like a fairy tale.
On the dining table inside, a variety of exquisitely prepared dishes were laid out, wafting an enticing aroma.
In a vase to the side were fresh roses, their petals still adorned with crystal-clear dewdrops, as if they had just been picked.
The entire room was unbelievably warm.
"Are you hungry?" Julian Forrester couldn’t help but smile as he watched Sienna flit from one spot to another, never settling down. He gently took her arm and asked.
"Not hungry." Sienna shook her head. She wanted to go out and play right now, to lift her spirits. "What about you? Do you want to eat?"
Julian Forrester raised an eyebrow inquisitively.
Sienna said, "If you don’t want to eat, let’s go out and play!"
Julian glanced at her clothes, then turned and brought over a white down jacket. The hood had two adorable little bunny ears. "It’s cold outside. Change into this before you go."
Sienna nodded enthusiastically and obediently changed into the jacket. She looked like a round, fluffy white ball of jade as she hopped and skipped outside.
Julian shook his head with a helpless smile. He lowered his gaze, chuckled softly, and hurried after her.
The resort had a large ski slope that Sienna had spotted on her way in. It had been a long time since she’d skied, and she was itching to try.
After gearing up, she didn’t need any instruction from a coach and skillfully glided away on her own.
Julian knew she could ski and was quite good at it, so he wasn’t worried about her falling.
Sienna slid smoothly and unimpeded all the way to the end of the run, and her mood brightened considerably.
She was about to take a breather and wait for Julian when she suddenly saw a man on skis up ahead, sliding uncontrollably toward her.
Sienna tapped the ground with her ski pole and gracefully dodged him.
The man failed to control his direction and immediately face-planted, his legs even flying out into a flamboyant split.
The corners of Sienna’s bright eyes lifted slightly. Before she could say a word, the man scrambled to his feet, ignoring the throbbing pain, and started cursing, "Why the hell did you move? It’s all your fault I fell!"
Sienna: "?"
’Seriously? You’re the one who fell, and you almost crashed into me!’
The man, embarrassed about falling in front of everyone, couldn’t stand losing face and resorted to belligerently making a scene.
The tourists watching from the side could hardly stand it anymore.
The resort manager, who was patrolling nearby, heard the argument and hurried over. "What’s going on? Why is everyone arguing?"
The man recognized the resort manager. "Dempsey, you’re just in time!" He gave a sly smile and pointed at Sienna. "See her? It’s all that woman’s fault for blocking the way. I was skiing along just fine, and suddenly I fell!"
Manager Dempsey followed the direction of his finger and, a second later, saw a face of such unrestrained, devastating beauty.
Miss Ever—
’Isn’t this Miss Everett!’
Manager Dempsey immediately scanned the area. ’Huh? Where’s Mr. Forrester? It seems Mr. Forrester isn’t nearby.’
The man was still playing the victim.
A tourist in the crowd couldn’t take it anymore. "It was obviously you who lost control! What does it have to do with that young lady? If you want to blame someone, blame your own poor skiing!"
The man immediately glared over, his expression turning vicious.
Just then, Sienna walked over, her beautiful eyes smiling. "Manager Dempsey, hello."
Manager Dempsey quickly forced a smile. "Miss Everett, hello!"
"Dempsey, you two know each other?" The man was utterly baffled.
Manager Dempsey felt a headache coming on. He sternly rebuked the man, "You’re the one who almost crashed into Miss Everett! Apologize to her at once!"
"Dempsey!" the man protested. But then he noticed how respectful, almost fearful, Manager Dempsey was toward the young woman. Annoyed, he snapped, "What are you so afraid of a little girl for!"
Manager Dempsey couldn’t stand it anymore. ’This idiot is just beyond help.’ He lowered his voice and hissed, "She’s the madam of our resort!"
’Of course I’m scared!’
’This whole resort was developed just for her!’
Hearing this, the man froze as if struck by lightning. His eyes went wide like a complete idiot’s. "The... the madam?!"
Manager Dempsey immediately called over the nearby security guards, who unceremoniously escorted the man away.
Then he turned to Sienna with an apologetic smile. "Miss Everett, I am so sorry about that man’s behavior!"
Sienna wasn’t too bothered. "It’s fine."
Despite the freezing weather, beads of sweat were forming on Manager Dempsey’s forehead. He raised a hand to wipe away the nervous perspiration.
’Seriously, for something like this to happen on the madam’s first visit to the resort... this is a major failure on my part!’
Sienna didn’t give it a second thought. She told Manager Dempsey to get back to his own duties, and then, after Julian arrived, she went on to the next spot to continue her fun.
Having more or less explored the entire resort, Sienna was getting a little tired, but her mood had improved significantly.
Just then, snowflakes began to drift down from the sky again.
They had had their fun, so the two of them returned to the snow cabin.
As they walked up to the cabin, Sienna suddenly remembered: they hadn’t built a snowman yet.
That was something they absolutely couldn’t miss.
She scampered over to the thick snowdrift by the cabin door and built an adorable little snowman.
While she was building hers, Julian accompanied her by building one of his own right next to her.
The two snowmen stood close together, like intimate companions.
It was just that... Sienna felt the one she’d built wasn’t very good-looking.
An idea struck her. A glint of mischief flashed in her eyes as she wrote Julian Forrester’s name on the snowman’s belly. She pointed it out to him, "Look, this is you!"
The man arched an eyebrow slightly, his voice low and languid. "So this is how ugly I am in my Sienna’s heart."
Sienna’s eyes narrowed. "Are you saying the snowman I made is ugly?"
He chuckled softly, picked up a small twig from nearby, and wrote her name on the snowman he had built. "This one is you."
He had, in fact, written Sienna Everett’s name on the snowman’s belly as well.
The corner of Sienna’s mouth twitched. "Well, we’re doomed. As soon as the sun comes out and the temperature rises, we’re both going to melt into puddles."
Julian considered this seriously for a moment and said, "We could preserve them. They could be kept forever."
"No, no, no." Sienna waved her hands dismissively. ’It’s just a snowman. Is there really any need to preserve it?’
’Why go through all that trouble?’
Sienna had casually packed a few snowballs earlier and left them on the side. Now, she stealthily picked one up and, when Julian wasn’t looking, whipped it straight at him.
Julian, having been hit: ?
