Chapter 21: Chapter 21: Princess Carry

Wyatt Everett’s eyes widened upon hearing her words, as if struck by lightning. "What do you mean? If Shannon wasn’t the one who saved me back then, are you saying it was you?"

"Sienna Everett, don’t tell me you’re trying to steal Shannon’s credit, are you? How can you be so malicious? Shannon risked her life to save me, and you want to take credit for even that? Do you have any conscience at all!"

Seeing Wyatt Everett’s reaction, Sienna Everett felt nothing. She had already expected this.

’He’s truly a lost cause.’

Wyatt Everett, in his one-sided belief that Sienna Everett was trying to steal Shannon Everett’s credit, felt indignant and aggrieved on Shannon’s behalf. He immediately rushed forward, raising his hand to slap Sienna. "I’ll knock some sense into you right now!"

Sienna Everett’s gaze turned sharp.

She lifted her leg and kicked out!

THUD.

Wyatt Everett was kicked to the ground at the top of the stairs. His arm was badly bruised from the fall, and he desperately grabbed the handrail to keep from tumbling down the flight of stairs.

’That Sienna Everett... she actually dared to kick him!’

’She almost kicked him down the stairs!’

Wyatt Everett was so furious his lips trembled. He staggered to his feet, just about to unleash a torrent of curses when the auction house security guards rushed up from the first floor.

The guard glanced at Sienna Everett, then at Wyatt Everett. He knew in his heart that this Miss Everett, who could accompany Mr. Forrester to the private room on the second floor, must be a distinguished guest of the auction house.

As for Wyatt Everett...

"Mr. Everett, the second floor isn’t for any random riffraff. The auction is over. All unauthorized personnel, please leave immediately!"

’Riffraff??’

When had Wyatt Everett ever suffered such an insult? He flew into a rage. "Open your eyes and look! I’m the Third Young Master of the Everett Family!"

The head of security sneered. "The Third Young Master of the Everett Family? Alright, men! ’Show’ this Third Young Master of the Everett Family out!"

Though he said "show" him out, the guards swarmed forward and unceremoniously threw Wyatt Everett out.

’Third Young Master of the Everett Family?’

’In front of their Mr. Forrester, what does the Everett Family even count for!’

In just a few seconds, everything before Sienna Everett was quiet again. The eyesore was gone.

’Huh...’

Sienna Everett was even a little slow to react.

’The security at this auction house isn’t half bad.’

Just then, from the corner of her eye, Sienna Everett saw Julian Forrester walking over from a short distance away. It seemed he had just finished his phone call.

After leaving the auction house, the two went to a restaurant for a late-night snack.

「In the private room.」

Sienna Everett took a few bites of food, looked around, and asked Julian Forrester, who was sitting opposite her, "By the way, did you bring the gift box for the necklace?"

"What’s wrong?"

"Eating with such an expensive necklace on, I feel like my neck is bearing a weight it shouldn’t have to." Sienna Everett felt the pressure and wanted to take the necklace off. "It would be such a hassle if it got bumped or scratched."

The man picked up a piece of shrimp and placed it on her plate, unconcerned. "If it gets bumped, it gets bumped. It’s just a necklace."

It wasn’t as if Sienna Everett was someone who hadn’t seen the world. She shot him a glance, then decided against taking it off and continued to eat with it on.

The food at this restaurant was quite good.

The dishes were very much to her liking.

There was one dish in particular that Sienna Everett really liked.

Julian Forrester noticed this detail and quietly made a mental note of the flavors she liked.

Halfway through the meal, Sienna Everett picked up the iced tea beside her and took a couple of sips. It was sweet and sour, very nice, and she finished the whole glass in no time.

"Is there anything else you’d like to eat?" Julian Forrester asked casually.

"No, this is enough." Sienna Everett’s eyes darted playfully, a sudden curiosity striking her. "Julian Forrester, I have a question for you."

"Hm?" He leaned back in his chair, his eyes fixed on her, his posture relaxed.

"It’s just..." Sienna Everett gave a cunning smile, her beautiful eyes sparkling with life. "When we divorce in a year, won’t I get a huge chunk of your assets?"

Julian Forrester: "???"

’And here I was, wondering what she wanted to ask. Turns out it was about the divorce.’

Julian Forrester stared at her, his expression blank for a moment, before his lips suddenly curled into a half-smile. "If you don’t divorce me, you’ll get even more."

But Sienna Everett frowned and waved her hand in front of her face. "Why... why is everything so shaky?"

’Shaky?’

Julian Forrester’s gaze sharpened. Noticing something was off about her expression, he immediately stood up and walked over. "What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"

Sienna Everett looked up at him, her expression dazed. She reached out and poked at him with her index finger. "Why... why are there so many Julian Forresters? There’s one here... and another one here!"

Julian Forrester caught her finger. ’Judging by her appearance, is she drunk?’

He immediately called the restaurant manager over.

After checking, it turned out that the iced tea Sienna Everett had ordered was mistakenly replaced with a Long Island Iced Tea by the waiter.

A Long Island Iced Tea looks similar to regular black tea and also has a sweet and sour taste, but its alcohol content is very high. Someone with a low tolerance could get drunk from a single glass.

The restaurant manager immediately apologized. "My apologies, my apologies, we are terribly sorry! This was our restaurant’s mistake. We will compensate you both!"

Julian Forrester’s brows were tightly furrowed, his eyes dark and heavy with pressure.

Thankfully, he knew Sienna Everett wasn’t allergic to alcohol, so even if she accidentally consumed some, it wouldn’t cause her any serious physical harm.

But after a full glass of Long Island Iced Tea, she would probably be drunk for the whole night.

"Hehe..." Sienna Everett’s eyes were glazed over as she poked the air in front of her with her index finger, clearly drunk.

Julian Forrester leaned down, placed one hand on her shoulder and scooped the other under her knees, lifting her directly into a princess carry.

He strode out of the restaurant.

「Back at Veridian Gardens.」

Julian Forrester carried Sienna Everett out of the passenger seat.

The old butler saw the scene and was momentarily stunned. He hurried forward and asked, "Sir, Miss Everett is..."

Julian Forrester’s voice was low. "Go prepare some sobriety tea."

Only then did the old butler understand. So, she was drunk.

’Seeing how anxious the Sir was, I thought something terrible had happened to Miss Everett.’

’It’s just a case of being drunk, why is Sir so worried? He really cares about Miss Everett.’

Julian Forrester carried Sienna Everett upstairs to her room and placed her on the bed. He asked worriedly, "Are you feeling unwell anywhere?"

Lying on the bed, Sienna Everett’s clear eyes were veiled in a hazy mist. "Who... who are you?"

Julian Forrester: "..."

’She’s really out of it.’

"I’m Julian Forrester."

"Ju... Julian Forrester?" Sienna Everett’s reaction was a full beat behind. She thought for a long while before it clicked. "Julian Forrester, huh. That bastard who’s been at odds with me since we were kids!"

As she spoke, she suddenly swung her hand upward.

Because she was drunk, she didn’t control her strength.

Her hand flew out and, with a sharp SMACK, connected with Julian Forrester’s face.

The force of the blow knocked Julian Forrester’s head to the side.

A red mark instantly appeared on his handsome, fair face.
