After a Flash Marriage With a Billionaire, My Brothers Are Begging for My Forgiveness!
Chapter 52: Kicking Shannon Everett Out of the Everett Family
Chapter 52: Chapter 52: Kicking Shannon Everett Out of the Everett Family
The Everett family home, living room.
Morgan Everett and his wife, Sheila Whitaker, were seated in the seats of honor.
Eldest brother Mason Everett, second brother Miles Everett, and fifth brother Dustin Everett were seated on the sofa.
Even the fourth brother, Lucas Everett, had rushed back from abroad specifically for this.
Lucas Everett was an internationally renowned race car driver, with short hair and sharp, defined features.
In the center of the living room, Wyatt Everett glanced coldly at the weeping Shannon Everett, picked up the remote, and replayed the video of his kidnapping from all those years ago in front of the entire Everett family.
"Dad, Mom, my brothers, you all saw it! This is the truth of what happened back then!"
"The one who saved me back then was Sienna, not Shannon Everett! Not only did Shannon Everett run away, but she also lied and had me completely fooled!"
Shannon Everett was sobbing uncontrollably, tears streaming down her face. "Third Brother, I’m so sorry. You can hit me or curse me, whatever you want. Shannon won’t try to argue."
Wyatt Everett sneered, "Oh, I’m sure you’d love to argue, but the facts are right here. Do you have the nerve to even try?!"
Hearing this, Sheila Whitaker’s heart ached for Shannon, and she interrupted him. "That’s enough, Wyatt. Don’t talk to your sister like that. Shannon, what you did was wrong. How could you lie?"
Shannon saw the pity in Sheila Whitaker’s eyes and immediately said with tears welling, "Mom, please don’t blame Third Brother. This is all my fault. He can scold me however he wants. I deserve it."
’The video is right here. Arguing would be useless. It’s better to cry and admit I’m wrong, to win the sympathy of the other Everetts.’
Thinking this, Shannon dropped to her knees with a THUD.
Sheila Whitaker’s heart broke for her, and she quickly looked at Wyatt. "Wyatt, help your sister up, quickly!"
Wyatt Everett’s expression was cold as he spoke, enunciating each word. "Mom, from now on, I only have one sister, and that is Sienna Everett!"
"As for Shannon Everett, she and I share no blood. She will never be my sister!"
Hearing this, Mason Everett couldn’t help but frown. "Wyatt..."
Dustin Everett, being younger, couldn’t stay seated any longer and shot to his feet. "Third Brother, how can you say that about Shannon?"
Morgan Everett asserted his authority as the head of the family. "Wyatt, I know you’re angry right now. But think about it. Even though Shannon took credit for what Sienna Everett did, it’s not like Sienna lost anything. She’s perfectly fine now, isn’t she?"
Wyatt looked at him in disbelief. "Dad, how can you say that! Sienna is your own biological daughter!"
Morgan Everett’s brows furrowed. Of course he knew Sienna Everett was his biological daughter.
But Sienna Everett wasn’t as sensible and well-behaved as Shannon, so in his heart, he was biased toward Shannon.
Wyatt Everett took a deep breath, his fists clenched. "Shannon Everett must pay the price for what she’s done. A venomous, black-hearted person like her doesn’t deserve to stay in the Everett family!"
Dustin Everett was both shocked and furious. "Third Brother, are you trying to kick Shannon out of the family?"
Lucas Everett, who had been silent until now, couldn’t help but speak up. "Third Brother, calm down. Shannon was just a child back then. She was just scared, that’s all. And she knows she was wrong now, doesn’t she?"
Dustin Everett quickly chimed in, "Yeah, Third Brother! Shannon is already on her knees admitting she was wrong. Can’t you just let it go?"
Mason Everett thought for a moment and said, "Wyatt, since we were the ones who misunderstood Sienna Everett, we can just bring her back to the Everett family and let her be the young miss of the family again. She should be satisfied with that, right? And you can stop being angry at Shannon."
Listening to these absurd words and looking at the faces before him, Wyatt Everett suddenly understood why Sienna Everett had wanted to cut ties with the Everett family.
’What kind of family is this?’
Wyatt Everett gave a bitter laugh, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
"Let her be the young miss of the family again? Satisfied?"
"Eldest Brother, do you hear the bullshit you’re spouting?!"
"This didn’t happen to you, so you can’t possibly understand, is that it?!"
Morgan Everett slammed his hand on the table. "That’s enough! Shannon has already kneeled and apologized. What more do you want?!"
Wyatt Everett glared at them. "If you don’t kick Shannon Everett out of this family, then I’ll cut ties with the Everett family too!"
When Sheila Whitaker heard this, she was so angry she clutched her chest, her breathing becoming ragged. "Wyatt, you... you..."
Miles Everett, who had been quiet the whole time, quickly poured a glass of water and handed it to her. "Wyatt, Mom’s health isn’t good. Don’t make her angry!"
Shannon crawled on her knees over to Sheila Whitaker, tears gushing. "Mama, please stop being angry. If Third Brother won’t forgive me, I’ll just leave the Everett family."
Morgan Everett’s heart ached as he quickly helped her up. "My dear daughter, get up. This is your home. No one can kick you out of this house without my permission!"
Sheila Whitaker staggered to her feet and grabbed Wyatt Everett’s hand. "You’re not allowed to go. No one is allowed to leave the Everett family. We are a family."
Wyatt Everett’s face was devoid of expression. "Mom, what about Sienna? Isn’t she your daughter?"
Sheila Whitaker fell silent. After a long moment, she finally spoke. "Wyatt, it’s not that Mom is playing favorites. Sienna Everett has only been back with the family for two years, while Shannon is the one I watched grow up. You tell me, who would I have a deeper bond with?"
Wyatt Everett felt a chill in his heart. "Mom, so you do know that Sienna’s only been home for two years. Shouldn’t that be all the more reason for us to make it up to her?"
Sheila Whitaker blurted out, "But we can’t let Shannon feel wronged either!"
Lucas Everett immediately added, "Third Brother, I dropped everything with my races and came back from abroad just to see Shannon. If you want to kick her out of the family, I’ll be the first to object."
"I object too, Third Brother!" Dustin Everett declared.
"Alright, Wyatt," Mason said. "You’re just angry right now. Calm down."
Wyatt Everett’s lips curled into a helpless, bitter smile.
’Sienna, I finally understand why you said the Everett family is disgusting...’
Wyatt Everett shot a cold glance at Shannon Everett. He would kick her out of the Everett family sooner or later.
He couldn’t cut ties with the family just yet. He had to stay.
If Shannon or any of the other Everetts tried to do anything to hurt Sienna, he had to be the first one to warn her!
Dustin Everett took the opportunity to escort Shannon back to her room, comforting her with a few gentle words.
’My sister must have been terrified today.’
’It’s all that Sienna Everett’s fault, throwing the Everett family into chaos!’
After leaving Shannon’s room, Dustin Everett took out his phone. He scrolled to his chat with "SG." ’Why hasn’t Master been responding to me lately?’
SG was the mentor he respected most.
Although he was a popular singer, there was a time when a lack of inspiration left him unable to write good songs. People said he was a has-been. He grew afraid of public appearances, developed depression, and even considered quitting the industry and ending his life.
It was SG who gave him inspiration, helping him create new songs that propelled him to win the "Most Popular Male Singer" award, giving him a second chance at honor and life.
SG was the most mysterious and famous composer in the country. They became a household name with the song "Nine Provinces," gaining countless fans, but no one had ever seen SG’s face or even knew if they were male or female.
Countless people had begged to become SG’s apprentice, but SG had only ever publicly accepted one: Dustin Everett.
It was an incredible honor.
Dustin Everett was proud to be SG’s apprentice and held his mentor in the highest regard.
But recently, all his messages to SG had vanished without a trace.
’Is Master just too busy to reply lately?’
「Veridian Gardens.」
After returning from the resort, Sienna Everett found it a little hard to face Julian Forrester. Every time she saw the spot on his lip where she’d bitten him, she felt a pang of guilt.
But Julian Forrester seemed to be deliberately parading his bitten lip in front of her.
One moment he’d walk past her, the next he’d grab something from beside her, then he’d ask what she wanted for lunch.
Sienna Everett was sitting on the living room sofa when, after watching Julian Forrester pass by her for the eighteenth time, she finally couldn’t take it anymore. "It’s a workday. Why are you still at home? Don’t you have to go to the office?"
Julian Forrester stopped and gave her a casual glance. "I’m in a bad mood. Taking a couple of days off."
Sienna Everett was surprised. "A bad mood? What’s wrong?"
’What happened?’
Julian Forrester stood before her, looking down at her with a lazy, drawling tone. "I was forcibly kissed, and the person responsible refuses to take responsibility for me."
