Chapter 69: Chapter 69: A Big Shot Emerges! The Mysterious Composer

Sienna Everett didn’t reply to Dustin Everett’s message.

She looked up at Stella Shaw. "Ophelia, Dustin Everett is also releasing a new album in a month. So our release dates clash?" ℯℯ𝑙.

At the mention of this, Stella Shaw couldn’t help but frown. "Dustin Everett was originally supposed to release his album in two months. Who knew he’d suddenly move it up to next month? Now the release dates clash."

"You know how popular Orion is. His every move is under a microscope. And Dustin Everett is a top singer. With both of them releasing music at the same time, people are already secretly comparing sales figures."

Actually, Orion Hawthorne was releasing an EP, which only had three songs.

Meanwhile, Dustin Everett was releasing an album with ten songs.

At three dollars per song, even if a ton of fans bought Orion Hawthorne’s EP, his final sales revenue would most likely not surpass Dustin Everett’s.

Sienna Everett thought for a moment, the corners of her cherry-red lips curling up slightly. "Ophelia, I agree to write the song for Orion Hawthorne."

Stella Shaw was taken aback for a second, then smiled. "You agree? That’s great."

Orion Hawthorne found it strange. He raised an eyebrow and shot her a sidelong glance. "Why the sudden change of heart?"

Sienna Everett smiled faintly, deliberately throwing his own words back at him. "I changed my mind. I’m willing now. What are you going to do about it?"

Orion Hawthorne: "..."

’Damn.’

Orion Hawthorne ran his tongue over his back molars and gave her a deep, long look.

Stella Shaw rapped her hand on the table. "Let’s discuss the details of the EP. Orion, which song are you still missing a melody for?"

Orion Hawthorne leaned back, lounging lazily on the sofa, his well-defined left hand twisting the ring on his right index finger. "The hardest one."

’The hardest one?’

Stella Shaw understood immediately. She pulled up the song’s synopsis on her phone and walked over to Sienna Everett. "Sienna, take a look."

Sienna Everett glanced over it. It was actually a dark-style song.

’Interesting.’

Sienna Everett was suddenly intrigued. "Alright, I’ve got the gist of it."

Orion Hawthorne was surprised for a moment. "You’re that confident? When can you have it done?"

Sienna Everett: "I’ll give it to you tomorrow night."

Orion Hawthorne: "???"

’That fast?!’

It wasn’t just Orion Hawthorne; even Stella Shaw was astonished. She quickly said, "Sienna, don’t forget, you have a full day of shooting at the studio tomorrow."

Sienna Everett shrugged. "That’s why I said I’ll give it to him tomorrow night."

If she didn’t have to film, she could have spent the evening reviewing the script and given Orion Hawthorne the sheet music by tomorrow morning.

Orion Hawthorne: "..."

Stella Shaw: "..."

Orion Hawthorne suddenly stood up and positioned himself face-to-face with Sienna Everett.

He bent down slightly to look at her, the necklace he wore swinging in the air. That lock of silver hair over his forehead gave him a roguishly handsome look.

"Sienna Everett, are you really capable of this? I don’t want some shoddy, slapped-together melody. You’re not just messing with me, are you?"

Sienna Everett met his gaze unflinchingly. "Oh? And what if I am?"

Orion Hawthorne was silent for a few seconds, then suddenly laughed. "What could I do? If you’re messing with me, I’ll just have to accept my loss. But..."

Before he could finish, Stella Shaw smacked him on the back of the head. "Watch your attitude."

Orion Hawthorne grimaced as he stood up straight. "Fine, fine, I’ll watch my attitude. What I should say is, to encourage her to write a great song, I’ll treat her to a big meal."

Sienna Everett waved her hand dismissively. "Skip the meal. How about a little pole dance to liven things up?"

Orion Hawthorne: "..."

’Here we go again!’

’Can we please drop the pole dancing thing?!’

Stella Shaw gave them a few more instructions before letting the two of them leave.

「The next day.」

Sienna Everett, accompanied by Stella Shaw, filmed her guest role for the historical drama.

They filmed from morning until afternoon.

In the final scene, the character played by Sienna Everett, dressed in white and clutching a guqin, died on the platform where she often danced, an arrow piercing her chest.

Sienna Everett spun as she fell to the ground, her snow-white robes fanning out like flower petals, stained with a few jarring splashes of crimson.

A trickle of crimson blood stained the corner of her lips, yet a faint smile graced her devastatingly beautiful face.

But her eyes were desolate and numb, staring blankly upwards.

Slowly, a single tear slid from the corner of her eye.

Yet the smile remained on her lips.

The director, standing behind the camera, watched Sienna Everett’s performance and then grabbed Stella Shaw, praising her effusively. "Top Agent Shaw, you’ve really found a promising new talent! This Sienna Everett truly has that star quality, not a hint of stage fright!"

You have to understand, many new actors get stage fright their first time in front of the camera. Some even get so nervous they can’t remember their lines.

In contrast, this Sienna Everett not only exceeded expectations but also nailed it in a single take.

She portrayed the character with incredible accuracy, and her performance was captivating.

Someone like her has what it takes to be a star. As long as she doesn’t make any wrong moves, she’s very likely to blow up in the future.

The director showered Stella Shaw with praise. "This Sienna Everett... her looks are truly outstanding. That face has no bad angles, 360 degrees of perfection. She’s even outshining our drama’s number one beauty, hahaha."

Stella Shaw smiled humbly. "If you have any suitable roles in the future, Director, please feel free to contact us."

The director nodded repeatedly. "Absolutely, absolutely!"

After finishing the cameo shoot, Sienna Everett and Stella Shaw left the set.

It was still only afternoon. Stella Shaw told Sienna Everett to go home and rest for a bit before heading to the company in the evening to give the finished sheet music to Orion Hawthorne.

「That evening, in Stella Shaw’s office.」

Orion Hawthorne couldn’t contain himself and had arrived early.

Sienna Everett hadn’t arrived yet. Orion Hawthorne, waiting anxiously on the sofa, couldn’t help but stand up and start pacing around the room.

Stella Shaw tried to placate him with a sigh. "Just sit down. Sienna Everett has been filming all day. I told her to get some rest. She’ll be here soon."

Orion Hawthorne refused to sit. "If I’d known, I wouldn’t have made it so urgent. Giving her a couple more days would have been fine."

Stella Shaw looked down at her documents. "That’s not what you said yesterday."

Orion Hawthorne had one hand in his pocket, tossing his phone up and catching it with the other, unafraid of dropping it. His expression held a hint of wildness.

"Yesterday I said if Sienna Everett couldn’t write the song, I’d admit defeat. But..."

Before Orion Hawthorne could finish, the office door was pushed open, and a voice as crisp and clear as striking ice rang out, "Who said I couldn’t write it?"

Orion Hawthorne raised an eyebrow, catching his phone and sliding it back into his pocket. "Yo, you finished it?"

The corners of Sienna Everett’s bright eyes lifted slightly as she handed him the sheet music. "See for yourself."

Orion Hawthorne quickly took it.

Stella Shaw came over as well.

As Orion Hawthorne looked at the sheet music, his initial expression was nonchalant. But the further he read, the more serious he became, until finally, his face was a mask of solemnity.

However, his pupils were trembling almost imperceptibly. "This composition..."

’He had never seen a composition like this before...’

’To think a composition like this actually existed in the world...’

Stella Shaw didn’t know much about music theory, so she asked anxiously, "Orion, how is it?"

Orion Hawthorne’s fingers, holding the sheet music, were trembling slightly. His eyes were glued to the score. After a long moment, he finally spoke. "It’s far beyond my expectations."

Hearing this, Stella Shaw finally relaxed. For the ever-arrogant Orion Hawthorne to say something like that...

It seemed this dark-style composition was truly extraordinary.

Orion Hawthorne looked up at Sienna Everett, his lips trembling as he asked, "This song... what’s it called?"

Sienna Everett’s red lips curved slightly. She said lazily, "I was originally going to call it ’If You Don’t Love Me, Then Go Die,’ but then I figured that wouldn’t be great for distribution. So, the title is ’Black Faith’."

’Black Faith...’

The instant he heard the name, Orion Hawthorne nodded without the slightest hesitation. "Good. We’ll call it ’Black Faith’!"

Orion Hawthorne stared at the sheet music in his hands, his mind reeling. He pulled out his phone and eagerly posted on X:

[My new song next month has a mysterious composer! Stay tuned!]

Orion Hawthorne’s popularity was already explosive. As soon as he sent that post, hashtags like #OrionHawthorneNewSong and #MysteriousComposer all started trending.

People online immediately started speculating.

[Mysterious composer? Who is it?]

[Speaking of which, who do you guys think will have higher sales, Orion Hawthorne or Dustin Everett, since they’re releasing new music at the same time?]

[Definitely Dustin Everett! He’s a professional singer-songwriter, that’s his whole deal. He’s definitely better than Orion Hawthorne!]

[It’s not just unit sales, but total revenue too. Dustin Everett is guaranteed to win! He’s releasing a full album with ten whole songs. Orion Hawthorne only has three. There’s no comparison!]

Meanwhile, when Dustin Everett saw the post, he let out a cold, contemptuous laugh.

’A mysterious composer?’

’Unless SG is writing for Orion Hawthorne, there’s no way his sales could ever beat mine!’

’But how could SG possibly write for Orion Hawthorne?!’
