Chapter 50: Body Building Cultivator Alliance

As soon as Jiang Yun returned to the sect, he started to give instructions to the two beasts he brought back to guard the sect.

Jiang Yun commanded, "If trouble you can handle arrives, then you can deal with them yourselves. If they seem peaceful, then ask them for their purpose, and if they seem friendly enough, you can let them in to meet me. Otherwise, if the enemy is too strong, then come to me to fight them."

The two beasts nodded as they understood the task. The two then went to hide near the gate and found places to live from now on, as they will be guarding the gate.

Jiang Yun then went back inside the sect, as he had finally returned again after settling more trouble. Entering the main hall, Jiang Yun saw no one, as they were still busy cultivating.

Jiang Yun then took the opportunity to continue learning array formations, as his level in this aspect was still too low to achieve his goal of making a teleportation array to and back from the Immortal World.

Time then passed as Jiang Yun was learning and making progress in the art of array making. Since coming back, Jiang Yun had entered an immersive state. Since he had to deal with so many situations lately, his annoyance went into array formations.

After just a week of studying arrays, Jiang Yun’s array formation skills had once again gone up a level, becoming a Void Solidification level array formation master.

Feeling joy from his new improvement, Jiang Yun went on a short break by walking around the sect. As he wandered around, he was thinking about how much longer it would take to become an immortal array master and be able to make a descension array.

Though normal immortal array formation masters can’t make a descension array and require at least an Immortal King level array formation master to make such an array, Jiang Yun is not a normal array formation master.

Jiang Yun has the cultivation backing of a Dao Unification realm cultivator and can forcibly make the array function as soon as he becomes a Loose Immortal array formation master.

Still, Jiang Yun couldn’t guess how long it would take to even reach the level of a Loose Immortal array formation master. The best he could do is to slowly keep working at it until he finally reaches it.

As Jiang Yun was in thought, enjoying his leisure time, trouble came again. Shi Ying was quickly flying towards Jiang Yun, heavily injured and exhausted.

When Shi Ying landed directly in front of Jiang Yun, she was completely out of breath, so Jiang Yun quickly threw her a healing pill.

As Shi Ying was skeptical of the pill, she swallowed it anyway, as it most likely wouldn’t harm. Shi Ying know this since if Jiang Yun wanted to kill her, she would have already been dead long ago.

Shi Ying immediately felt the effects of the pill, as her injuries quickly healed and she regained some of her vigor. Shi Ying was then surprised by the treasures that humans possessed, as they were so useful.

Jiang Yun then asked, "Why have you come to search for me while being so injured? I only asked you to protect my front gate, and yet you are injured this badly."

Shi Ying quickly replied, "The strong-bodied cultivators I talked about before have come here to cause trouble after they saw that I was here. Originally, I thought I could handle it, as only two of them had come this time. The result was different from what I expected, as they overpowered me, and I had to run away. I had to leave my companion behind to buy some time."

Jiang Yun remembered about the group Shi Ying had talked about before and was surprised that they had come looking for trouble so fast.

Shi Ying’s injuries had completely healed, and now with her energy recovered, she said hurriedly, "Quickly come to the front gate with me. Those intruders will break in soon, as my companion can’t hold them back for very long."

Jiang Yun then nodded his head and then instantly took Shi Ying away, heading towards the front gate.

The next thing she knew, Shi Ying found herself back at the front gate. She then quickly looked around to find her companion, the tiger beast. She soon found the tiger beast, as she was being held by the neck by one of the strong-bodied cultivators.

Shi Ying wanted to attack immediately but knew she couldn’t save the tiger beast all by herself. She then looked at Jiang Yun, wanting him to take action, as he was far stronger and could bring down these strong-bodied cultivators.

Jiang Yun was now deep in thought as he was observing these people in front of him. These people Jiang Yun recognized as body-building cultivators.

Body-building cultivators are very rare, excluding those who do so before starting their path of cultivation. Body building and spiritual cultivators who cultivate their souls are by far the rarest types of cultivators.

These two paths are extremely slow to breakthrough, as they have much harsher conditions for each breakthrough. It takes several times longer to become strong, so most never even attempt these two paths.

The ones that do attempt these paths are either those who have no talent for normal cultivation or those who have a talent for these two other paths. The only upside is that those who cultivate these two paths tend to be stronger than normal cultivators at the same level.

Jiang Yun thought back to a time when he had seen a body-building cultivator fight before. With just their bare bodies, they managed to defeat a cultivator a few levels higher than them.

At the time, Jiang Yun wanted to try body building too, but as he heard how long it would take, he gave up.

Now though, being reminded of body building, Jiang Yun wondered what if he gave it a try now. The thing is, Jiang Yun doesn’t know how to cultivate the body.

Jiang Yun then looked at the two body cultivators in front of him, wondering if he could use the two to learn how to cultivate the body.

As Jiang Yun was looking at the two cultivators, he caught their attention in the same way as he had appeared out of nowhere.

The stronger of the two cultivators, with a bald head, started loudly speaking, "Who are you? Why have you come here with that lion beast?"

Jiang Yun replied, "This lion beast is my pet, and so is that tiger beast in your hand. Let them go now, as this is my territory and not yours."

The bald-headed body cultivator replied, "What do you mean by your pets? These two beasts belong to my Body Building Cultivator Alliance. These two disappeared out of nowhere recently, and the alliance has sent out people to look for them. We just so happen to find these two at your sect."

Jiang Yun replied, "I don’t care who they belonged to before. Now that I have taken them in, these two are now my pets, and they are not for you to take back."

The weaker of the two body cultivators, with spiky hair, yelled, "How dare you get in the way of my Body Building Cultivator Alliance! Believe it or not, just us two alone can flatten your sect. If you don’t give these two back to us now, we will destroy your sect today."

Jiang Yun then looked at the two body cultivators in front of him more closely. These two were so arrogant Jiang Yun wanted to see what was behind the confidence in their words.

The bald-headed body cultivator was at the Half Immortal realm of body building. The spiky-haired body cultivator was at the ninth level Mahayana of body building.

These two were far too weak to dare threaten Jiang Yun to have his sect destroyed. Though they are weak in Jiang Yun’s eyes, they are very strong, as body cultivators tend to be stronger than those at the same realm.

These two really had the strength to be so boastful normally, as long as it wasn’t Jiang Yun in front of them. To cultivate to this point as body-building cultivators, they would be respected anywhere in the mortal realm, as their powers would be at the top.

If these two were compared to today’s lower realm, they could walk around freely, unafraid of offending anyone, as most of the high-level cultivators were already dead.

Jiang Yun, though, upon seeing their level, felt some slight intrigue. Since these two were at such a high level, then they must have the secret to body building.

Since Jiang Yun wanted to build his body, extracting their body-building techniques can make it much easier for Jiang Yun to build his body in the future. This made Jiang Yun want to keep them alive a little longer for them to explain their techniques thoroughly before killing them.

Jiang Yun then replied, "I don’t care who you are, but I will say the same to you. I will give you two choices. One: give me your body-building techniques, and then you’ll be allowed to leave. Two: you can continue to threaten me and find out what happens."

The spiky-haired cultivator was immediately furious and yelled, "If you don’t want to give in, then don’t. Just don’t regret it later when I destroy your sect while you are unable to do anything."

The spiky-haired cultivator then stepped forward to teach Jiang Yun a lesson, as Jiang Yun dared to embarrass him by ignoring his authority.
