Chapter 53: Spiritual Cultivator Alliance

Jiang Yun, not bothering to explain who he was, asked instead, "Are you also a part of that so-called Body Building Cultivator Alliance?"

The leader of the alliance replied, "That’s right, I’m the leader. Are you afraid of my identity now? If you are, then hurry up and explain who you are and where you are keeping my beasts."

Receiving the answer he wanted, Jiang Yun decided to take action instead of talking. Using body energy, Jiang Yun slapped the man while trapping the leader in place with dao energy.

Jiang Yun limited his energy this time so as not to directly kill the leader of the alliance, as he wanted the rest of the alliance to come to deal with them all at once.

If Jiang Yun wanted to try hard enough, he could locate the body cultivator alliance and eliminate them, but this would leave the sect defenseless other than those two weak beasts. Due to this Jiang Yun wanted to lure them here instead to settle the situation once and for all.

The slap that Jiang Yun delivered to the leader of the alliance caused him to have a few teeth knocked out and feel a painful sting on his face as a large red handprint appeared on his face.

The leader of the alliance yelled, "How dare you slap me? Didn’t I tell you who I was? Do you think I can’t make you wish you were dead?"

Jiang Yun replied, "How will you make me regret it then?"

The leader of the alliance then punched with all his might, as he had just been humiliated and couldn’t let it go. Once the punch made contact with Jiang Yun, the force disappeared as if hitting an immovable wall.

Knowing his full-power punch did absolutely nothing to Jiang Yun, the leader of the alliance now felt somewhat panicked. Realizing he couldn’t handle this himself, he quickly crushed a tablet to call for reinforcements.

The leader of the alliance then quickly tried to run away to buy some time for his forces to arrive. After only reaching a few meters, the leader of the alliance was frozen and couldn’t move from where he was.

Jiang Yun knew reinforcements were being called and decided to keep the leader of the alliance around in case he still needed the man for something else.

After waiting for a while, a large group of Body Building cultivators finally arrived. This group consisted of many Half-Immortal and Mahayana Body Building cultivators as well as weaker body cultivators.

Jiang Yun then asked the captured leader of the alliance, "Is this all the forces in your so-called Body Building Cultivator Alliance?"

The leader of the alliance replied, "That’s right, look at the mighty power of my forces. Now that they are here, quickly release me or suffer the consequences."

Jiang Yun, not caring, decided to wait for them to come closer. The instant the group got close enough and before any of them could speak, Jiang Yun used his pressure to drop all of them to the ground.

The body cultivators then felt immense pressure as they lay on the ground, unable to get up. The group then realized that the man in front of them was causing this and that they would all die today.

Jiang Yun then asked the leader of the alliance, "Do you have anything else other than these people?"

At this point, the leader of the alliance was completely shocked, as he had never dealt with a situation like this. He had been one of the top powers in the lower world, and now everything he had built was falling so easily.

The leader of the alliance then said, "You may have dealt with my Body Building Cultivator Alliance, but we are affiliated with the Spiritual Cultivator Alliance, which is bigger than my alliance. If you dare go any further, they will come to avenge us as we are their affiliated alliance."

Jiang Yun stated, "You are allowed to call for them right now, otherwise you can all just die right here."

The leader of the alliance, seemingly not having another choice, quickly broke the tablet that he was reluctant to use. This was one of his rare chances to call for strong help, and having to use it now felt so wasteful.

After waiting for a long time, help finally arrived as a larger group of cultivators came. They were all spiritual cultivators who built their soul. This group all had strong soul energy, and they had twice the number of strong cultivators compared to the Body Cultivator Alliance.

The leader of the group then spoke, "What have you called me here for personally? What problems could possibly occur with the task I assigned you to cause the beast tide?"

The leader of the Body Building Cultivator Alliance replied, "This man has captured me and is far too powerful for me to handle. Help me deal with this man, and I will go back to carrying out your task."

The leader of the Spiritual Cultivator Alliance then looked at Jiang Yun, wondering how such a weak-looking person could possibly have caused so much trouble.

Jiang Yun decided it was now the perfect time to act, as all the main people had arrived and it was time to kill. Jiang Yun then increasingly spread his presence outward.

This caused all the spiritual cultivators present to collapse on the ground like the body cultivators. As Jiang Yun increased his pressure, many of the people there were pressed to death.

Seeing the situation had suddenly changed and become dangerous, the leader of the Spiritual Cultivator Alliance quickly realized he needed to do something fast to escape.

Using whatever energy he could muster, the Spiritual Cultivator Alliance leader poured a few pills he had been keeping safely into his mouth.

The next moment, Jiang Yun saw something in the sky. The clouds were getting darker and lightning started to appear. It seemed the leader of the Spiritual Cultivator Alliance was trying to escape by ascending.

As the clouds started to form, the leader of the Spiritual Cultivator Alliance started to get excited as he was about to escape from this dire situation. Though the tribulation might be dangerous, it was still better than dying for no reason right now.

The Spiritual Cultivator Alliance leader had been staying in the mortal world this entire time, despite being on the edge of ascending, simply to keep his power in the mortal world. He had decided to hold off on ascending, but he still wanted to explore the wider world above. Now that he had no choice but to ascend, he felt like new opportunities were waiting for him.

The Spiritual Cultivator Alliance leader assumed he could ascend because tribulation lightning is dangerous, and anyone who were to interrupt it would suffer even more powerful lightning. Since this was the case, he thought Jiang Yun wouldn’t risk it and would just allow him to ascend.

While the Spiritual Cultivator Alliance leader was having many expectations about getting out of this situation, the next course of events left him speechless.

Jiang Yun threw a punch toward the sky, and right after doing so, a huge hole appeared in the tribulation clouds. The clouds soon dispersed as the tribulation was no longer happening.

With this turn of events, the leader of the Spiritual Cultivator Alliance could only feel fear once again. Now that the tribulation clouds were gone, he could no longer ascend. What horrified him more was that Jiang Yun could just punch the tribulation clouds away so casually.

Now with all his survival tricks gone, the Spiritual Cultivator Alliance leader accepted his fate. There was simply nothing left he could do to save his own life anymore.

Jiang Yun then continued, as he was starting to get bored of the situation, and started squishing all the cultivators present to death. Soon, all the invaders had been killed, leaving a massive expanse of blood in front of his sect.

Jiang Yun realized he might have gone overboard, as he now had to clean the surroundings. Jiang Yun then controlled his fireball and incinerated all the blood and corpses around the sect.

After much burning, the area was finally clean again, and Jiang Yun could finally go back to his sect undisturbed by these invaders.

Back at what remained of the Spiritual Cultivator Alliance, they all noticed that a large amount of their sect elders had died. What remained were only lower-level spiritual cultivators, and now they were in disarray.

As these spiritual cultivators realized their sect had offended someone powerful, they soon disbanded the alliance, leaving their territory abandoned as everyone wanted to save their own lives.

On this day, both the Body Building Cultivator Alliance and the Spiritual Cultivator Alliance were officially gone. No one knew of this, though, as these two were secret alliances that practiced an unusual path of cultivation. If it had been known who they were, other cultivators wouldn’t have allowed them to grow as they currently were.

Now the only ones who knew the alliance ever existed were Jiang Yun and the escaped spiritual cultivators. In the future, spiritual cultivators and body cultivators will have a hard time progressing their paths with these alliances gone.

Jiang Yun, however, didn’t care as he was now doing something far more important.

He was back in the Invincible Cloud sect, and Ning Nuo was going through with her tribulation to ascend to the Immortal world, becoming an Immortal herself.

This marked the day of the first person in the Invincible Cloud sect to ascend to the Immortal world.
