Chapter 59: Delicate Beauty Wants a Strong Master

After Jiang Yun came back to the Invincible Cloud sect, he went to the main hall to regroup with the two women.

Arriving at the main hall, the two women were still chatting happily as they shared their experiences in life.

As the two women saw that Jiang Yun had come back, they rushed towards him.

Zhao Na started asking, "What did you do while you were gone? How did the Immortal energy become so dense soon after you left?"

Ning Nuo asked a similar question, "How are you able to make the sect a cultivation paradise like the lower realm Invincible Cloud sect?"

Jiang Yun replied, "You wouldn’t understand with your current cultivation. Just know you two should be able to cultivate easily from now on."

Not receiving an answer, the two women were annoyed, as they truly wanted to know. As Jiang Yun didn’t seem to want to answer, the two women decided not to ask further.

The two women then went back to sit down as they continued their discussions, since they still hadn’t finished talking. Jiang Yun decided to leave them alone to go continue practicing array formations.

Now that Jiang Yun had a sect in the Immortal world, his Tribulation Transformation realm array formation was far too weak, and he needed to improve fast. Though Jiang Yun could deal with the threats personally, he wouldn’t always be staying in the sect.

Time continued to pass in this way as Ning Nuo and Zhao Na started to diligently cultivate, as Jiang Yun had made the environment so plentiful in Immortal energy.

In the month that followed, Jiang Yun progressed to a Loose Immortal level array formation master. He then applied his skills and improved the array around the sect to better prepare in case of invaders.

While Jiang Yun was setting up the arrays, he soon caught sight of a woman who was walking in his direction. Jiang Yun didn’t understand how someone managed to appear here, as this place was so secluded away from civilization.

As the woman got close, Jiang Yun could see how delicate she was and wondered why such a person was wandering the forests. Around the woman were several who Jiang Yun assumed to be her servants.

Most of the people around the woman were quite ordinary, as they were either Loose Immortals or Earth Immortals. Though there were some stronger people who were probably her guards.

These strong people included an Immortal King and two Golden Immortals. To have such guards means this woman has decent backing.

Once the woman completely arrived in front of Jiang Yun, the servants stepped to the side to show they weren’t hostile, but close enough to protect their mistress.

The delicate beauty began saying, "I am Qiu Tao, and I am the daughter of Immortal Emperor Qiu Zheng. I am here today to take you as my master. I have seen your display a month ago and have tracked you down, as I specifically want you to teach me to cultivate. So, what do you say about my offer?"

Jiang Yun replied, "I’m not interested, you can go back."

Jiang Yun then went back to setting up his array, as he thought the woman was some kind of intruder that required his attention.

Qiu Tao, not giving up, remarked, "If you take me as a disciple, then in the future you will have an Immortal Emperor as a backer. Don’t you think it’s worth it to take me as a disciple?"

Jiang Yun ignored the woman, as he truly had no interest in taking such a privileged young miss as a disciple. Taking such a disciple will be more trouble than it was worth.

The Immortal King guard, seeing Jiang Yun ignoring their miss, started to step forward to teach the man a lesson. Qiu Tao then raised her hand to stop him, as she had her own plans.

Qiu Tao asked, "What do I need to do to become your disciple? If my backing doesn’t interest you, then how might I get a chance?"

Jiang Yun, seeing the woman not backing off, decided to impose an impossible condition to make her leave. Jiang Yun tried to think of something the woman simply couldn’t achieve.

After some thought, Jiang Yun replied, "If you can get your Immortal Emperor father to come personally to ask me for a favor, then I might agree to your request."

The woman’s guards were furious hearing Jiang Yun be so arrogant but stopped as their young miss was stopping them from acting.

Qiu Tao replied, "Then you have to keep your promise. My dad dotes on me, so he will agree for sure. I will be back soon with my father to properly ask to be your apprentice."

Before Jiang Yun could take back his words, Qiu Tao had left with her servants to get her father. Jiang Yun felt that this woman was too conniving a person, as she left before he could refuse.

Jiang Yun sighed, as he had no choice since he already said he would do it, so he couldn’t go back on his word. If Qiu Tao truly brought her father to ask to be his apprentice, Jiang Yun would agree.

Jiang Yun then went back to setting up the sect’s defensive array, as he was about to finish. After finishing, Jiang Yun went back inside to continue researching on array formation.

As a week went by without hearing news from the woman, Jiang Yun thought Qiu Tao had given up or failed. While being relieved from the thought that Qiu Tao wasn’t coming back, she indeed did come back and was shouting at the entrance of the sect.

Qiu Tao shouted, "I have brought my father with me this time to request apprenticeship. Hurry and come out here and accept me as your disciple."

Jiang Yun, having no choice, went to the entrance to see if what the woman was saying was true. As Jiang Yun approached, he saw an Immortal Emperor next to Qiu Tao who seemed to be her father.

Once Jiang Yun got close, the Immortal Emperor Qiu Zheng suddenly looked at Jiang Yun with surprise. Qiu Zheng recognized Jiang Yun the moment he saw the face.

Qiu Zheng asked, "Are you Jiang Yun?"

Jiang Yun, curious who the person was, replied, "That’s right, I am Jiang Yun."

Qiu Zheng then said, "It’s me, Qiu Zheng from the Heavenly Palace sect. We used to adventure as friends together, remember?"

Jiang Yun looked closer, trying to remember the man. After some thought, Jiang Yun remembered he indeed had such a friend.

Back when Jiang Yun was an Immortal King and was searching for ways to become an Immortal Emperor, he met Qiu Zheng in a secret realm. Qiu Zheng saw how impressive Jiang Yun was and wanted to make friends, even though Jiang Yun was a rogue cultivator.

Jiang Yun initially dismissed it, but Qiu Zheng continued to push. As the two continued through the secret realm and had some life-and-death experiences together, Jiang Yun felt some camaraderie with Qiu Zheng.

After the secret realm, the two adventured together sometimes until Jiang Yun became an Immortal Emperor, which was soon followed by Qiu Zheng becoming an Immortal Emperor.

After Qiu Zheng became an Immortal Emperor, his responsibilities increased, and he no longer had time to go out and adventure. Since then, Jiang Yun hadn’t seen Qiu Zheng again.

Now seeing Qiu Zheng again, Jiang Yun felt how interesting life was as he met this man’s daughter. Jiang Yun now didn’t know what to do, as his initial disinterest in taking Qiu Tao as a disciple had disappeared.

Qiu Zheng continued saying, "Since we know each other, how about taking my daughter as a disciple? After all we’ve been through, it’s not too much to ask, right?"

Jiang Yun replied, "I will keep my word and take her as an apprentice."

Qiu Tao shouted, "Thank you, Dad! I finally got a powerful master."

Qiu Zheng then said, "By the way, I remember you being an Immortal Emperor the last time we met, so how come you seem to not have any cultivation?"

Jiang Yun didn’t know how to explain this, as it was too complicated. Though Immortal Emperors knew about the Dao realm, it was still very difficult to reach.

One needs very talented comprehension to reach the Dao realm, which requires you to build your understanding over a long period of time.

Jiang Yun had achieved it in less than a hundred years since they parted ways, and it was too hard to explain how he did it.

Jiang Yun instead said, "How about let's head inside and talk? You are my guests and I can’t have you standing outside for no reason."

Qiu Zheng thought that there was no reason to refuse and took his daughter into the Invincible Cloud sect.

Jiang Yun then led the two inside as his friend’s daughter will be his disciple in the future.

This made Jiang Yun wonder what was going to happen from now on.
