Looking closer at the woman, Hua Jing tried to see who it was. Her expression changed as she seemed to remember.

"Is it Ru Meng?" Hua Jing asked, unsure if she had the right person. "You’ve aged quite a bit since I last saw you. What are you doing here, so far away from China?"

"The company you left me hasn’t been doing very well since you left," Ru Meng said as she lowered her head in guilt. "Now I’m being targeted by rival companies and had to run away from danger."

"Who would dare target the company I made? The Blooming Flower Corp that I built over the course of several decades isn’t something other companies could compete with."

"I don’t know exactly how it happened, but after I took over, the company started to get hit heavily by competitors trying to kick us out of the market. Now the company is barely hanging on, and I had to run away."

"How dare these people target my hard work! I’ll go deal with them right now."

Hua Jing started to take her leave in anger but remembered that Jiang Yun was still next to her. She then turned around toward Jiang Yun with an embarrassed expression.

"I need to solve this situation," Hua Jing muttered, embarrassed by losing her temper.

"I’ll go with you," Jiang Yun replied, unbothered. "We have no leads right now, so we might as well go and resolve your issue. I’ll just follow and watch, as this is your matter and does not require my intervention."

"Then let’s go right now."

Hua Jing grabbed Ru Meng and started flying toward China, with Jiang Yun following close behind her. Earth was much smaller than the cultivation world, so within a few minutes Hua Jing arrived at the large building that was once her company.

The company now looked worn out, as the colors had faded and several parts were damaged for some reason. The place looked as though it was declining physically, not just in business.

Having arrived while being carried by Hua Jing, Ru Meng was surprised by how quickly they had flown back to China. Trying to recover from her disorientation, she found many questions flooding her mind.

"What happened while you were gone?" Ru Meng asked after regaining her composure. "How are you able to fly, and who is this man next to you?"

"He is my master, so he can be considered your grandmaster. As for what happened, you wouldn't understand. Just know that I am now an immortal with limitless power."

"Is that why you had so many strange abilities back when you were raising me?"

"I was much weaker at the time, but yes, you can think of it that way."

Hua Jing started to observe her Blooming Flower Corp more closely, noting that some of the damage seemed unnatural and was probably caused by competitors.

"What has happened since I left you back then? The legal system shouldn’t be so bad that people would dare to attack our territory so blatantly."

"I’m sorry I failed you," Ru Meng replied dejectedly as she lowered her head. "Right after you appointed me the successor and left me the company thirty years ago, competitors found out and tore into me relentlessly. I didn’t have the means to defend the business like you did."

"Then why didn’t you come find me at the time?"

"I didn’t want to bother you, because I had just taken over the company after your relentless training. If I couldn’t weather the storm myself, I felt I did not deserve to be your successor."

Hua Jing sighed as she realized she had been too hands off after stepping down and appointing a successor. Once her successor took over, she had simply traveled the world without worrying about her company anymore.

"Now that I’m here again, I’ll take care of everything."

Hua Jing moved toward the Blooming Flower Corp building, intending to make her company rise to power once more. The current state of the place was far too embarrassing to leave as it was.

After she entered, the place proved completely abandoned, with nobody around. No one could be seen anywhere, and the entire area was quiet.

"How come no one is here?" Hua Jing asked as she continued to search.

"Everyone has already fled in fear, because the company was audited and forced to shut down. Another reason is that competitors constantly hired people to harass the company, making employees quit when they couldn’t take it anymore."

"Are there any loyal employees left, or were they all cowards who fled as soon as danger arrived?"

"All the employees from when you were in charge have already retired, or they grew too old and died. The remaining staff who were in the company recently only cared about being paid, showing no loyalty to the business at all."

"How could this happen?"

"The world has changed since you left, as the younger generation only cares about money now and nothing else."

"I see. Will they return if I resolve the situation with our competitors and restart the cash flow?"

"Perhaps. They still fear for their lives, but if money is involved alongside guaranteed safety, they just might return to work."

"Let’s begin the recovery that way, then. I’ll target those competitors and make them back down through force. I’ll make them regret ever touching my company. Now tell me who these competitors are and take me to them."

Ru Meng began explaining everything about the competitors who had been targeting the Blooming Flower Corp and recounted what they had done. After Ru Meng finished, Hua Jing’s anger reignited upon hearing all the treacherous actions committed by these companies.

These competitors had sent spies to leak corporate secrets, planted fake evidence of crimes, and poached talented employees, leaving the company as an empty shell. The list went on, showing how shameless these companies were in their pursuit of an advantage.

"Which one of these companies is the closest to us? I want to tear into them right now and show them what it means to offend me."

"The closest one is New Era Corp, which isn’t very far away. I’ll show you where it is."

Ru Meng started walking out of the building, with Hua Jing and Jiang Yun following close behind. Upon their arrival, the rival building proved slightly smaller than Blooming Flower Corp, but it looked much newer and wealthier.

"Is this the place?" Hua Jing asked, ready to barge inside.

"Yes, this company has been targeting us the most because they are the closest. Ever since their leadership changed, they have been even more relentless in trying to bring us down."

Having reached the right location, Hua Jing did not feel like waiting any longer and marched toward the entrance. Seeing the furious woman approach, the guards stepped forward to stop her.

"What is your purpose in coming here, miss?" the guard asked, refusing to let Hua Jing get closer.

Too indifferent to respond, Hua Jing shoved the guards back, slamming them into the wall and knocking them unconscious. The people around the building saw this, promptly taking out their phones to record videos or call the police.

Hua Jing did not bother with the onlookers as she headed inside, focused on the people in charge. As she advanced up through the building, several more guards tried to block her way.

Every time Hua Jing reached a new floor, another wave of guards appeared to block the way. These guards were easily resolved with a casual wave of her hand, as they were all mere mortals without cultivation.

Progressing through the building proved effortless, while Ru Meng and Jiang Yun followed behind without ever needing to get involved. Seeing Hua Jing overcome so many guards with such ease, Ru Meng was amazed by her master’s power.

No longer worried about what lay ahead, Ru Meng continued to follow Hua Jing, wondering how everything would conclude.

Soon, the three arrived at their destination outside the executive suite. Hua Jing kicked the door inward, growing impatient from dealing with so many guards.

Once the doors gave way, Hua Jing faced several men holding firearms that were pointed directly at her, ready to shoot at any second.

Sitting at the desk, entirely unbothered by the commotion, was a young man in his late twenties. He remained comfortably seated in his chair with his legs propped up on the desk.

"How dare you break into my company?" the young man asked, calm and motionless. "I am not someone to be trifled with."

Not bothering to respond, Hua Jing continued walking forward, completely unafraid of mortal weapons. Seeing that Hua Jing was hostile, the armed men immediately opened fire, eager to eliminate the threat before them.

Unbothered, Hua Jing deployed an energy shield around herself to protect Ru Meng, who stood just behind her. The bullets stopped harmlessly against the barrier, causing no damage at all.

As the armed men kept firing, they quickly ran out of ammunition, which caused the room to go back into silence.

The armed men were stunned that Hua Jing remained entirely unharmed after such a heavy barrage of gunfire. Unsure of what to do next, they stood frozen, realizing their weapons had no effect on the woman standing before them.

"Is that all you have?" Hua Jing asked, seeing that the armed men were not continuing their assault.
