"I did," Ji Cang stuttered. "I request your help, ancestor. I have met with disaster that I cannot resolve."

"That is all you summoned me for?" the woman asked with a hint of disgust. "How could my descendants have fallen so low that you cannot even handle something from the Immortal world?"

"But the enemy is truly strong and is not something that should exist in the Immortal world."

"What could you possibly know? You are just a weak little Immortal Emperor who has never touched Dao energy. You wasted my time coming down here, and I will punish you accordingly."

"Wait, before you do that, can you look at that man first?" Ji Cang shouted, frantically pointing to Jiang Yun. "I truly believe he is someone in the Dao realm and requires your help to defeat."

"Oh, you have something else to say? And what if you are wrong? What will you pay for wasting my time further?"

"I will pay with my life for wasting your time. All I request is for you to deal with this man to prevent further tragedy. If you let him go today, he might eliminate the rest of the Silent Void sect."

"Alright, if you will pay with your life, it will somewhat alleviate my anger. But to think the sect has fallen so low to have you as the sect leader. Back when I ascended to the Dao world, the sect I left behind was the strongest, with no contenders."

"The Silent Void sect is still the strongest sect today. I believe we have not declined."

"With your low level, you are saying the Silent Void sect is still the strongest? Has the Immortal world declined this much? Back when I was an Immortal Emperor, a single flick would have killed you."

"Am I that weak?"

"You are embarrassingly pitiful. The threat you say is at the Dao realm is probably a true Immortal Emperor who has stayed hidden. Prepare to die for wasting my time once I take a look."

The woman turned her head away to look at Jiang Yun, wanting to end things as quickly as possible. Ji Cang began sweating nervously, realizing his guess might be wrong and death loomed over his head.

"What is this?" the woman asked in confusion. "Why can’t I feel any energy coming from you?"

"Because you are simply too weak," Jiang Yun replied with a mocking tone.

"How dare you! During my time in the Immortal world, my name was feared by everyone who heard it. Have you never heard of my renowned name, Chi Yao?"

"Never heard of it. Must not be all that important."

"Are you looking to die? You dare insult my name?"

"I won’t be the one dying, but you will. If you don’t want to waste time, just come at me already."

"Do you think I would waste effort on someone without even a sliver of Immortal energy? You aren’t even worth my time, but considering I am killing you myself, you can stand proud."

Chi Yao released the pressure she held in, and the surroundings began to feel heavy again.

Ji Cang and Du Lian, who were standing to the side, began crumbling under the weight and fell down to the ground, struggling to stay conscious.

With the pressure that was released, the entire stadium grew completely quiet, with everyone else having been knocked unconscious. The only ones left standing were Jiang Yun and Chi Yao.

Seeing Jiang Yun still standing in front of her, Chi Yao was surprised.

"How are you not dead yet? I have used enough pressure to easily kill someone like you without Immortal energy."

"Why don't you try harder?" Jiang Yun taunted, gesturing with his hand to continue.

Chi Yao saw the provocation, and her eye began twitching in anger.

"You think I can’t kill you? Just wait until I make you experience the most painful death."

Chi Yao concentrated her spread-out Dao energy directly toward Jiang Yun.

Ji Cang and Du Lian breathed a sigh of relief as the pressure on them was finally relieved.

Now with all the Dao energy on him, Jiang Yun continued to stand firm without the slightest strain. Bored by the feeble attempt, Jiang Yun began stretching his arms to keep himself focused.

Chi Yao saw just how casual Jiang Yun was and turned slightly red in anger.

"Fine, since you think this is not enough, then I’ll stop holding back."

Chi Yao completely released her Dao energy, and the surroundings began to shake, unable to withstand the abundant energy.

Jiang Yun still did not react much, to Chi Yao's dismay. Seeing that releasing Dao energy was not enough, all the Dao energy continued to converge toward the spot where Jiang Yun stood.

With the full weight of the released Dao energy pressing on him, Chi Yao had a faint grin appear on her face beneath the veil.

"How do you like that?" Chi Yao gloated, waiting for Jiang Yun to kneel down. "Are you scared now?"

"Why would I be scared?" Jiang Yun replied, waving his hand.

The energy that was on him began to disperse, and soon the area returned to normal.

Chi Yao widened her eyes, realizing Jiang Yun had just dispelled all her Dao energy. Unable to understand how such a thing could happen, Chi Yao stood frozen, contemplating what had happened.

"Is this all you have?" Jiang Yun asked, no longer wanting to play along. "If so, then it’s my turn."

"I am a dignified Forming Dao realm cultivator from the Vermillion Bird sect. Do you seriously think this is all I have?"

Chi Yao raised her arm and pointed it toward Jiang Yun.

"Be honored!" Chi Yao yelled while gathering Dao energy into her hand. "I will take you seriously despite you only being trash from the Immortal realm."

The Dao energy formed into a crimson flame that began expanding and shot toward Jiang Yun.

A massive wall of fire formed that scorched the ground that it touched. The ground began turning molten red from the sheer heat the fire gave off.

Jiang Yun did not flinch and simply walked straight into the wall of fire.

"Did you finally give up and want to die a little faster?" Chi Yao laughed, seeing Jiang Yun make such an odd decision. "If you had begged earlier, your death might not have been so gruesome."

The laughter was soon cut short when the fire dispersed and Jiang Yun walked out completely fine.

"How is this possible?" Chi Yao rubbed her eyes to make sure she wasn’t hallucinating. "You should be dead."

"Too bad," Jiang Yun replied as he continued walking forward.

"Stay back!" Chi Yao yelled, unconsciously taking a step back. "If you come closer, I will make sure you die."

"Why don't you try, then?"

Chi Yao raised both arms and began frantically shooting crimson flames at Jiang Yun. When one dispersed, another one would follow close behind.

Still, Jiang Yun continued to move forward while Chi Yao continued moving back. Soon Chi Yao hit the edge of the stadium, and Jiang Yun stood right in front of her.

"Fine, you forced me to do this!" Chi Yao yelled as her flesh began turning into crimson flames.

The flames turned dark crimson and began spreading, completely encasing Jiang Yun. The surrounding area began to melt and vaporize into smoke.

The heat continued to increase, yet Jiang Yun still stood perfectly fine in the flames.

"Enough," Jiang Yun shouted, making a grabbing gesture with his hand. "Since you have nothing left to show, then just die."

Chi Yao reappeared with her neck grabbed firmly in Jiang Yun’s grasp.

"Stop," Chi Yao gasped as she struggled to breathe. "If you kill me, my sect will not let you go."

"Don’t worry, after I kill you, I will pay a visit to your sect," Jiang Yun replied with a cold smile on his face. "You can all join each other in the afterlife."

While frantically kicking for Jiang Yun to let go, Chi Yao began turning red from the tightening grip. The kicks soon slowed and finally stopped completely.

Finally, with a slight bit more force, Chi Yao exploded into a mist of blood, ending the life of a Forming Dao realm powerhouse.

Looking around, Jiang Yun saw that everyone was still unconscious and he was the only one left awake.

Walking over to Han Xiyue, Jiang Yun pointed his finger and injected Dao energy into her body. Soon her eyes began to flutter, and she woke up to see Jiang Yun standing over her.

"What happened?" Han Xiyue asked while still being in a daze.

"You fell unconscious after a Dao realm expert was called down," Jiang Yun replied, casually recounting the details.

"What, a Dao realm powerhouse? What happened after that?"

"I killed her, of course. She was far too weak to cause any waves."

"I see. So what’s happening now?"

"I have something to do and will be back soon. I need you to watch over this place until I come back."

"I can do that," Han Xiyue replied as she stood up after recovering somewhat.

"And as for those three," Jiang Yun pointed to the sect masters of the major sects, "I will deal with them later, so make sure to restrain them."

After tossing a few Immortal treasures to Han Xiyue to bind the three, Jiang Yun ripped apart space and disappeared inside.
