After I Dumped 7 Beast Husbands and Ran
Chapter 226: Extra 5: Group Return to Earth 2
“Have you ever seen male models that look like this? Oh my god, don’t tell me they’re heirs to some powerful families or something?”
“You’ve been reading too many novels.”
“Wow! These seven have even better physiques than supermodels!”
“Can supermodels even compare to them? Can they?! They look so powerful! AHHHH!!!”
“Their muscles are practically bursting out of their suits. If what’s underneath is as good as it looks…”
“AHHHHHHH!”
“And look at all those kids! The children are so adorable!”
“Where did all these handsome men and cute kids come from?!”
Hu Bai and the other six males were also seeing so many females for the first time.
Lanxing was a little reserved, hugging Little Fu and hiding behind Nan Zishi. The other males either had icy gazes or shot the girls a fierce glare.
That was just barely enough to preserve their honor.
Then, the seven composed males subtly began sizing up this world.
Skyscrapers towered everywhere, cars whizzed past, but there were no forests.
Xuan Jin sniffed the air. He could smell all sorts of things, but not the scent of wild animals.
The males all began to worry about their future food supply.
‘Without prey, what will we eat? Will we be able to provide for our female master and the cubs?’
Nan Zishi took out her phone and stepped aside to call her parents. She smiled, her expression bright and happy. “Mom, Dad, I’m back!”
“You moved to the XX Villa Complex in XX District, right?”
“Okay, we’ll be there right away.”
…
There were too many people this time to fit in a single SUV, so Nan Zishi tried to figure out how to get them all home.
Hu Bai said gently, “Female master, you should take the cubs and go on ahead.”
“What about you guys?”
Xuan Jin said, “We’ll be right behind you.”
Wolf Day added, “Don’t worry. We can smell your scent and the cubs’ scent, so we’ll be able to find you.”
‘These seven husbands of hers were so reassuring.’
Nan Zishi still gave them a few instructions. “In this world, no fighting, and no hunting.”
The males all laughed. “We know.”
Nan Zishi hailed an SUV and headed for the villa complex address her parents had given her, taking the cubs with her.
The seven males stayed behind. Tall and long-legged, the seven of them made for an incredibly beautiful and eye-catching sight just standing there.
Hu Bai said, “Let’s split up and each figure out the rules of survival in this world. And remember what our female master told us: no fighting, no hunting.”
The other six males replied in unison, “Right.”
All seven of them were top-tier males from the Beast World. Arriving in a completely new world, they couldn’t possibly just rely on a female to survive.
They had to quickly master this world’s survival skills and provide for their female and cubs!
After the seven of them split up, Hu Bai began observing the humans here.
He quickly discovered that people here looked at traffic lights before crossing the street.
He leisurely followed the crowd across the street to a shopping mall on the other side, clad in the black leather boots Nan Zishi had prepared for him.
His innate elegance and dignified air allowed him to wear the black suit with effortless grace.
“WHOA, he’s so handsome!!!”
“How can a man be so handsome and elegant? Is he some kind of celebrity?”
The dashingly handsome Hu Bai was quickly mistaken for a young master from a wealthy family by the store employees, who rushed forward to serve him.
“Hey, handsome, are you looking to buy something? Come take a look in our store.”
As they approached, Hu Bai subtly took a step back. His voice was cold and distant. “Please keep your distance, thank you.”
Even in this unfamiliar world, Hu Bai remembered to remain polite, even as he rejected their advances.
…
Xuan Jin, also dressed in a suit, walked down a main road. Like Hu Bai, he was observing the rules of this world.
He was a little puzzled when he saw everyone paying by scanning codes with their phones.
‘Could it be that all the money in this world is kept inside phones?’
Xuan Jin went into a mall and found a mobile phone counter.
Xuan Jin said, “I want to buy a phone.”
The salesclerks were dazzled by his looks, and several of the young women crowded around him.
“Hey handsome, hey handsome, are you looking for a Fruit phone or a Big Rice? We have whatever you like!”
Xuan Jin found a phone that looked similar to the one Nan Zishi used and asked, “How much for this one?”
“This one is 4,999, but our store has a promotion going on. You get 100 off for every 1,000 spent, and there’s a national subsidy. After all the discounts, it comes down to 4,099.”
Xuan Jin fell silent. He hadn’t understood a word.
“So, handsome, do you want it? This model is a really good deal.”
Xuan Jin took out a gold nugget and asked, “Can I use this to buy the phone?”
Staring at the massive gold nugget, the clerks were all struck silent.
Xuan Jin went to a pawn shop and exchanged the gold for cash. Perhaps because of his intimidating aura, the pawn shop didn’t dare to rip him off.
Then he returned to the phone store and bought the phone.
When the clerk asked for his ID, Xuan Jin cleverly said he didn’t have it with him.
So they set him up with an unregistered SIM card, and he put it in the phone.
Finally, on the clerk’s recommendation, he bought several bottles of expensive liquor. He also used the gold he had to have a gold bracelet and necklace forged.
Xuan Jin’s unique appearance—holding a new phone and carrying a stack of cash in a cheap, woven plastic bag—earned him a great deal of attention as he left.
‘Looks like you can’t get by in this world without an ID,’ he thought.
…
As Wolf Ye walked along, he came to a construction site. There was a sign with words he didn’t recognize.
A foreman saw the handsome, impeccably dressed man and asked, “What’s a young master from some rich family doing here?”
“To earn money.” ‘I can’t hunt, and I can’t fight. So how else can I make money?’
The foreman said, “We’re all laborers here. There’s no work suitable for a guy like you.”
“Laborers? What do they do?”
The foreman said, “Haul bricks. 500 a day. You in?”
Wolf Ye glanced at a nearby sack of bricks and effortlessly lifted five of them at once. However, he put them down again, worried that any more would get his clothes dirty.
The foreman was stunned, shouting, “Holy shit! Holy shit!”
“Hey, kid! Kid, don’t go! I’ll raise the pay! 800 a day! Will you do it for 800 a day?”
Having gotten the information he wanted, Wolf Ye turned and left.
…
Striding on his long legs, Wolf Day arrived at the entrance of a clothing store. He stood there hesitantly for a moment, and several customers immediately went inside to buy clothes.
Wolf Day didn’t notice anything. He was still focused on taking in the scents of this world, observing it.
As a result, it wasn’t long before the store owner came out looking for him.
“Are you a celebrity or a model? Good heavens, you only stood here for a little while, and our store’s revenue shot through the roof!”
“Would you be willing to stand here wearing our store’s clothes? The pay is negotiable—1,000 a day, 2,000 a day, it’s all good!”
Wolf Day asked in confusion, “I can make money just by standing here?”
“That’s right! Of course.”
“How much is 1,000? Can it buy that meat?” he asked, pointing at the pork in the market across the street.
The store owner said, “Pork is 18 yuan a pound right now. For 1,000, you could buy 55 pounds of it!”
Wolf Day was confused. “How much is 55 pounds of pork…”
“About a quarter of a whole one, I’d say.”
Wolf Day frowned. ‘If I stand here all day, I’ll only get a quarter of a prey animal,’ he thought. ‘And that prey looks very small. I wonder how it was processed… Its skin is so pale, and it has a strange smell.’
‘I don’t like it.’
