Joris in the photo was indeed a young woman.

Although she was wearing a heavy padded jacket, her face looked clean. She smiled as she walked beside Simon Abbott, holding the base’s points card in her hand. The background of the photo was the base’s cafeteria.

Nina Jacobs was certain she didn’t know this woman.

"Although Simon Abbott has moved out, he’s kept in touch with Liam Grant. The two should still be friends. There’s also Renee Strong—she hasn’t cut ties with them either," Chase Gallagher said.

Harrison Grant broke up about two months ago, and half a month ago, Chase still saw Renee Strong and Simon Abbott entering Liam Grant’s yard. This showed that all three of them were in contact; they just weren’t living under the same roof anymore.

"However, more than one person in the base has seen the two of them arguing in public. I believe their relationship must have soured, and they only deliberately keep in touch due to some shared interests or other reasons." Chase Gallagher’s investigation was very detailed.

Before Nina Jacobs left the Bishop Clan, she had instructed him to keep an eye on these people after returning to the base. Therefore, over the past few months, he had managed to gather quite a bit of information.

"That’s highly possible. What about Simon Abbott and the Superpower User Alliance?" Nina Jacobs asked. All three were reincarnators. They were indeed a community of shared interests and couldn’t truly part ways.

"The prestige of the Superpower User Alliance has declined. Tyson Hughes seems to be letting things rot; since the extreme cold began, he’s been drinking every day, and he’s even had a few drinks with Simon Abbott," Chase Gallagher replied.

"I understand. Thanks for your hard work," Nina Jacobs said.

"There’s one more thing." Chase Gallagher thought for a moment before voicing something that had been on his mind.

"A new Psionics Unit arrived at the base?" Nina Jacobs asked. She indeed hadn’t heard of this.

"Yes, there are about twelve people. I heard they are all top-tier experts. Two of them are Intermediate Superpower Users, and there’s also a Dual Element Superpower User. This team claims to be from the Oakhaven Base. The day they arrived, they went straight to see Myra Lawson and demanded that the base assign them housing," Chase Gallagher said.

"Does the team have a name?" Nina Jacobs asked. There had only been a few well-known teams in her previous life; she might have heard of them.

"I haven’t heard about that. I only know their captain is named Ianna Jacobs, a Water Element Superpower User," Chase Gallagher replied.

Hearing this name, Nina Jacobs immediately frowned. No wonder Liam Grant had said that a couple of days ago. Ianna Jacobs had actually come to the City D Base.

"Do you know where they’re staying?" Nina Jacobs asked. It wasn’t that she was interested in Ianna Jacobs, but rather that she wanted to take detours to avoid running into her. In her previous life, Ianna Jacobs had been an extremely troublesome person.

"Townhouse 283," Chase Gallagher replied. Those people had also rented a villa, though it seemed the base hadn’t given them any discount on the fees.

"Understood. Let’s avoid provoking these people in the future. Have everyone get ready; we’ll head out for practice tomorrow," Nina Jacobs said. So many days had passed. It was time to take everyone from the Stellarys Team out for a trip.

The freezing temperatures outside seemed capable of freezing everything. A few people trudged with difficulty through the base. They wore bulky layers of clothing, and patched-together plastic bags had become their best gear for fending off the cold.

Every breath exhaled a large cloud of white mist that instantly condensed on their hat brims, forming fine white frost. The white mist blurred their forward vision. Everyone wished they could cover up every inch of exposed skin, leaving only their eyes to stare at the ground ahead.

Walking outdoors in this kind of weather, no one paid attention to the pedestrians around them.

This was how Claire Warner directly entered the Logistics Department. As long as she didn’t enter the strictly controlled warehouse area in the back, no one would notice her.

The Logistics Department was responsible for the inflow and outflow of supplies and generally didn’t need to receive visitors. Therefore, when Henry Dixon heard that someone was looking for him, he blanked for a moment before immediately setting down the ledger in his hands and running out.

Usually, no one came looking for him in the department. Upon seeing that familiar figure he hadn’t seen in a long time, he immediately became excited.

Claire Warner was indeed still alive!

"Did you know that everyone in the base has been looking for you?" Henry Dixon pulled Claire Warner into his private office. Since she was wearing a mask and a hat, no one had recognized her.

"I know, but I don’t have that many goods left for retail," Nina Jacobs replied. Selling supplies outside during the extreme cold wasn’t a wise move. Moreover, Chase Gallagher and the others had mentioned earlier that it wasn’t just customers looking to buy things who were searching for her.

Henry Dixon sighed. "You really shouldn’t show your face easily right now. This is a time when everyone is short on supplies, and they’re entirely relying on the base’s relief to get by. Without that little bit of relief from the base, everything would have completely descended into chaos."

The dangers of going outside in the extreme cold had multiplied several times over, forcing the hard-won survival rules established earlier to be suspended. Having no income made people anxious and irritable. The base seemed quiet on the surface, but in reality, quite a few security disturbances occurred every day.

If Claire Warner appeared at this time, everyone’s attention would probably be drawn to her.

Claire Warner nodded. "That’s why I came this time, hoping to sell my supplies directly to the base."

Henry Dixon’s eyes lit up. Could Claire Warner actually still scavenge supplies in such terrible weather? However, since they were trading supplies, the standard procedures still had to be followed. He immediately began writing the application form and contacted his superiors directly using his communicator.

A little over ten minutes later, Adrian Shaw arrived.

"We meet again, Miss Warner." It wasn’t Adrian Shaw’s first time seeing Claire Warner here, and she looked no different from the last time. This made him even more curious about her identity. After all, there weren’t many people left who could produce supplies in this kind of weather.

"Yes, it’s been a while," Claire Warner said, putting on a smile.

"I heard your team found another batch of food supplies? May I know where you found them?" Adrian Shaw asked.

"No, you may not," Claire Warner replied, still smiling.

Adrian Shaw paused. As expected, she refused to say anything. However, food was currently the base’s most critical resource. No matter how much Claire Warner brought out or what the quality was like, they absolutely had to take it.

"I also have some Blood Stopping Spray here." Claire Warner then took out 200 small spray bottles, which Adrian Shaw bought entirely without a second word. The base’s rescue team was currently in desperate need of them.

"Do you have any more Blood Stopping Spray left?" Adrian Shaw asked after a moment of thought. There was no telling when Claire Warner would show up again.

"I do, but as long as you stop sending people to follow me, I could sell you some more." She had heard about the rescue team’s shortage of Blood Stopping Spray, and she still had over two thousand bottles in her storage slots. Of course, she was only willing to sell another 300 bottles.

"You can rest assured about that..." Adrian Shaw felt a bit embarrassed. Had she really discovered that he had sent people to tail her previously?

The supplies Nina Jacobs traded this time were primarily food provisions. She suspected that if she didn’t trade away some goods soon, her storage slots would get full again. After all, the supplies from an entire granary in Justin Stone’s spatial dimension had been completely transferred to her last time.

Ever since then, her original storage slots had been in a state of near overflow.

"Could Miss Warner’s astrological sign happen to be Virgo?" Adrian Shaw couldn’t help but ask before Claire Warner left.

However, Claire Warner only smiled and vanished out the door.
