Chapter 238: Luke’s Mysterious Transformation Is Complete!

Elsewhere, the goddess of light and goddess of fate’s expressions turned to complete shock.

"How is this! even possible!" her voice raised this time, because in the history of Valtharion, this had never happened.

There was no sign of Luke and the luster purple-haired woman.

Which increased her worry, but fortunately her golden chains that were connecting to Luke were still attached.

And this gave a little relief to her heart.

"Aurielle." Elena muttered softly, worried that Aurielle would take the rash decision of marching straight into the deep Stormhowl Mountains.

Aurielle heard her worried voice and turned to look toward them.

There Aurora, Vaelira, and Elena were all looking toward the distant mountains, with worry in their eyes.

’Hah’, somehow at this time, she couldn’t bring herself to be angry anymore. Earlier she often became annoyed when more and more women started appearing near Luke.

And now these same women were worried about him and her.

’After all, they are part of Luke’s strength... Luke’s army.’ She sighed helplessly, before muttering in a low voice.

Then Aurielle gave one last look toward the distant mountains and said to them, "I am sure Luke will return back to me..."

Elena, Aurora, and Vaelira also gave one last, longing look toward the mountains, before following Aurielle toward Blackstone.

At another location...

Among the rocky cliffs, a cave was hidden perfectly. Its entrance also closed to make sure nothing could enter unless huge force was applied, which would be enough to alert the inside inhabitant.

The inside of the cave was cold and wet. Also so quiet that you could hear your own breathing.

The walls were rough stone, slippery with moisture and covered in patches of dark moss. While water dripped from the ceiling here and there, hitting the floor one drop at a time.

Drip... drip...

That was the only sound present inside.

Even then a little bit of pale light came through some cracks way up above, but it didn’t reach most of the cave. The corners stayed dark.

The corner, where a cocoon covered with mysterious symbols lay, was completely silent.

The oval-shaped cocoon suddenly began to compress, shrinking tightly around the figure within until it clung closely to the body, revealing the outline of a human form beneath its surface.

Then it again became still, like there would be no more movement.

But the person inside didn’t think that.

Because the next instant, something miraculous happened. Rather than the outer shell breaking, it dissolved or became completely transparent.

Until a silhouette of a man became visible.

The man was so handsome, like the universe itself had crafted him. Which could win any maiden’s heart.

"HAAH!"

The man suddenly sucked in a deep breath, his chest rising sharply.

For what felt like an eternity, he had been unable to breathe.

But now—

Air finally rushed into his lungs. So he greedily inhaled again and again, as though each breath was a precious gift.

"Kh—Cough! Cough!" Though, the next moment the man choked because of his fast breathing, which resulted in a rough cough.

But this also broke his sleep, the sleep he didn’t know how long it had been.

"Wh-Where... am I?" These words escaped his mouth, as he used his hand to stand up from the cold stone slab.

But then pain hit him and the man tightly held his head with both hands.

"Ugh!" A low pained grunt escaped his mouth as he shook his head to reduce the pain.

Which after a few minutes later finally calmed down, and earlier memories of the incident also rushed into his mind.

"Seems like I survived." Luke sighed, while trying to steady his breathing.
