After Marrying 5 Yandere Wives, I Obtained a 10,000x Return System
Chapter 395: The Wife Who Wants Exclusive Kidnapping Rights!
Meanwhile, back at the devastated battlefield, Gorzak, Kroghar, and Vradok were still examining the five golden chains extending from the dust-covered crater.
Several moments had already passed since their appearance, yet none of the chains had attacked.
Vradok carefully studied their divine radiance before finally relaxing slightly.
"It appears to be some kind of tracking spell."
Hearing his explanation, Gorzak looked toward the distant directions in which the chains extended.
"Then can someone follow those things to find him?"
"Possibly," Vradok replied. "However, once we enter the Endless Forest, very few beings will dare pursue us into that territory."
Kroghar understood his meaning.
The ancient Orc tribes residing within the Endless Forest possessed powerful protectors, including existences that had already reached the realm of true gods.
So Gorzak finally relaxed.
"Good. Then let's take him before that crimson dra—"
"ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAARRRR!"
A terrifying dragon roar suddenly echoed across the distant sky.
"...!"
All three Orc leaders froze.
They recognized that voice immediately.
It belonged to the same crimson dragon who had previously fought and injured them.
Rhaenyra.
"DAMN IT!" Vradok cursed, his expression changing sharply. "HOW DID SHE FIND OUT SO QUICKLY?!"
Gorzak and Kroghar immediately turned toward the direction of the roar, sensing the familiar dragon aura approaching from an enormous distance.
However, even from that far away, they could tell she was moving with frightening speed.
"We need to leave!" Kroghar shouted.
Vradok immediately waved his hand toward the crater.
FWHOOOSH!
A powerful gust swept through the area, dispersing the thick cloud of smoke and dust that had concealed Luke's body.
However, the moment the crater became visible, all three Orcs stopped moving.
"..."
The enormous Titan was gone.
Only the damaged ground remained, with golden-red blood staining the shattered earth where Luke had been lying moments earlier.
"WHAT?!"
Gorzak stared toward the empty crater.
"WHERE THE HELL IS HE?!"
Vradok immediately extended his perception across the surrounding region, searching for the severely injured Hero.
Unfortunately, the devastation had left countless unstable energy fluctuations throughout the area, making it difficult to distinguish anything clearly.
More importantly, the distant dragon aura was approaching rapidly.
"Vradok!" Kroghar shouted, turning toward the Great Shaman. "We don't have time to search the entire region!"
Gorzak looked between the empty crater and the distant sky, his expression becoming increasingly furious.
"We can't just abandon him after losing our entire tribe!"
"Then do you intend to fight that crimson dragon again?" Kroghar demanded. "We're already injured, and our army is gone!"
Gorzak clenched his fists.
For a moment, he seemed ready to argue.
However, another distant rumble reached them from the direction of Rhaenyra's approach, reminding all three of the devastating strength she possessed.
Vradok's expression became ugly.
"We've already lost our tribe, but our lives are more important."
He looked toward the empty crater one last time.
"We can recover our strength and rebuild our forces, but none of that will matter if we die here."
Hearing those words, Gorzak finally lowered his fists.
Kroghar immediately nodded.
"Then let's leave before she gets any closer."
Although all three understood that fleeing would damage their reputations, especially among the proud Orc tribes of the Endless Forest, they had already reached A-Rank and possessed lifespans far beyond those of ordinary warriors.
None of them wanted to throw away those years merely to defend their pride against a furious dragon.
"Fine. Let's go!" Gorzak finally agreed.
FWHOOOSH!
The three Orc leaders immediately launched themselves into the sky, their bodies accelerating beyond the speed of sound as they fled toward the distant Endless Forest.
BOOOOM!
However, Vradok couldn't help looking back one last time.
'Hero of Light...'
His crimson eyes burned with hatred as he recalled the destruction of the Zhurkhal Tribe.
'You will pay for everything you've done today!'
With that silent vow, the Great Shaman turned away and followed the other two leaders toward the Endless Forest.
Meanwhile, some distance away from the devastated battlefield, a figure was moving rapidly through the ruined forest.
"I am an idiot!"
Emberlyn cursed herself as she hurried across the broken ground, carefully carrying Luke's unconscious human body in her arms.
"I really am an idiot!"
Her expression was filled with frustration, although she continued running without slowing down.
Luke had already reverted from his seventy-foot Vorthar form to his ordinary humanoid appearance, but the transformation hadn't restored his missing limbs or repaired the terrible injuries covering his body.
Both of his arms and legs were still gone, while blood continued escaping from several wounds despite Kiki's earlier attempts to close them.
Emberlyn was continuously channeling her energy into him, forcing the leaking blood back inside his body while preventing his remaining life force from weakening any further.
"Hahh..."
She glanced down at Luke's pale face, feeling her anxiety increase when she noticed how faint his breathing had become.
'Please, don't die.'
Her grip tightened slightly, although she immediately adjusted her hold to avoid aggravating his injuries.
Earlier, when the five golden chains appeared and distracted the three A-Rank Orcs, Emberlyn had finally recognized an opportunity to rescue him.
Using the disturbance created by the chains and the surrounding dust, she had approached the crater without revealing her presence, taken Luke into her arms, and escaped before the Orc leaders realized what had happened.
"I broke Father's order..."
Emberlyn muttered those words while continuing to run, her expression becoming increasingly troubled as she considered the consequences.
She had been explicitly forbidden from interfering in the Orc conflict, since any assistance given to Luke could also be interpreted as helping Rhaenyra.
If her father discovered what she had done, she would almost certainly face his anger.
Unfortunately, Emberlyn couldn't bring herself to abandon Luke after witnessing his current condition.
'Whatever happens, I'll deal with Father later.'
She glanced down at him again.
'Right now, I just have to keep you alive.'
With that thought, she increased her speed, carrying Luke farther away from the devastated battlefield while continuing to supply energy to his wounded body.
However, just as Emberlyn began feeling slightly relieved that they had escaped the three Orc leaders, an enraged voice suddenly echoed from the distant sky.
"WHO DARES TO KIDNAP MY TOY?!"
"..."
Emberlyn's movements faltered slightly.
She immediately recognized the voice.
Then another furious shout followed.
"ONLY I CAN KIDNAP MY TOY!!!"
"..."
Emberlyn's mouth twitched uncontrollably.
'Big Sister...'
She raised her head toward the direction of the furious voice, already recognizing the familiar dragon aura rapidly approaching their location.
Even while carrying a severely injured Luke and worrying about how she would explain everything to her father, Emberlyn couldn't help feeling speechless.
'Of all the things to be angry about...'
Her gaze dropped toward Luke's unconscious face.
Then she sighed.
'She really is my elder sister.'
