After Marrying 5 Yandere Wives, I Obtained a 10,000x Return System

Chapter 398: Two Sisters, One Human Husband, and a Forbidden Jealousy!

  • Next Chapter

Rhaenyra couldn't explain why the sight of his injuries affected her so strongly, nor was she willing to examine those feelings while her younger sister was watching.

However, one thing remained perfectly clear in her mind.

Regardless of whether she openly acknowledged him as her husband, Luke belonged to her, and she had no intention of allowing anyone to take him away.

With that thought, Rhaenyra finally leaned closer.

Then her lips met his.

She carefully transferred the drop of crimson blood essence into Luke's mouth, using her energy to guide it down his throat.

GULP!

A faint crimson glow immediately spread through his body as the blood essence entered his system.

However, Rhaenyra didn't immediately pull away.

She remained close for several moments, her lips still resting against his as she looked at his unconscious face.

For someone as prideful as Rhaenyra, admitting she had done something wrong was almost impossible, especially when the person involved was the human she had repeatedly refused to acknowledge.

Yet the gentle way she remained beside him carried an apology she wasn't prepared to express aloud.

'You'd better wake up...'

She finally closed her eyes for a moment.

'And stop making me worry about you.'

Meanwhile, Emberlyn was watching everything from the cave floor.

Her fists slowly tightened.

Although she knew Rhaenyra was administering blood essence to save Luke's life, watching her elder sister kiss him caused an uncomfortable feeling to spread through her chest.

'It should have been me...'

She immediately became startled by her own thought.

However, the jealousy continued growing as Rhaenyra remained close to Luke.

'You don't deserve him...'

Emberlyn pressed her lips together, refusing to say those words aloud, although her fingers had tightened enough for her nails to dig into her palms.

After spending an entire month accompanying Luke, she had begun caring about him far more than she initially realized.

And now, seeing her elder sister openly claim him while simultaneously refusing to acknowledge their marriage made Emberlyn feel increasingly frustrated.

Unfortunately, she also knew that arguing further would accomplish nothing while Luke remained unconscious.

So she turned her face away.

Several minutes later, Rhaenyra finally separated from Luke's lips.

"Hahhh..."

She released a quiet breath before looking down at his body.

The effects of her blood essence had already begun appearing.

OHHMMMM!

Crimson energy circulated beneath Luke's skin, spreading through his injured body as the extraordinary vitality of dragon blood accelerated his natural regeneration.

The wounds covering his chest and abdomen gradually began closing, while the places where his arms and legs had been destroyed started producing new flesh.

Within moments, the outlines of his missing limbs began forming, with bones, muscles, and skin gradually regenerating as the healing energy continued circulating through his body.

The process was accompanied by a faint golden-red radiance, while Luke's breathing became increasingly stable.

Rhaenyra carefully observed his condition, making sure the blood essence wasn't overwhelming his weaker cultivation.

Fortunately, she had controlled the quantity precisely, allowing his body to absorb its restorative power without suffering additional damage.

As the minutes passed, Luke's arms and legs continued regenerating, while the terrible wounds covering his body gradually disappeared.

Even his pale complexion began returning to its usual fair appearance.

Seeing the improvement, Rhaenyra finally relaxed.

'Good...'

She gently touched his cheek once more before standing beside the stone slab.

However, instead of waiting for him to awaken, she simply bent down and lifted his unconscious body.

Then she placed him across her shoulder.

"..."

Emberlyn stared at the sight.

After everything that had happened, Rhaenyra was now carrying Luke like a sack of potatoes, apparently completely unconcerned about how strange the position looked.

However, the familiar movement suddenly reminded Rhaenyra of something.

'This...'

She remembered how she had carried Luke in almost the same manner during their earlier encounter at the Holy Church.

At the time, she had been furious with him, treating the troublesome human as someone she could simply pick up and carry away whenever she wished.

Yet now, after nearly losing him, that memory felt strangely different.

A small smile appeared on her lips.

Unfortunately, the expression didn't escape Emberlyn's notice.

'...Huh?'

Her eyes widened slightly.

'Did Sister just smile?'

Emberlyn was genuinely astonished, since making Rhaenyra laugh or smile naturally had always been extremely difficult.

As far as she remembered, their grandmother was among the very few people capable of consistently bringing out that side of her elder sister.

'What is happening to her?'

Before Emberlyn could think further, Rhaenyra's familiar cold voice interrupted her thoughts.

"Ember, what happened here today must remain between us."

Emberlyn looked toward her.

Rhaenyra adjusted Luke's position upon her shoulder before continuing.

"Especially the part where I healed him. Luke must never find out about that."

"..."

Emberlyn stared at her elder sister, wondering how someone could behave so tenderly one moment and immediately return to acting cold the next.

However, Rhaenyra wasn't finished.

She turned toward Emberlyn, her crimson eyes carrying a clear warning.

"If Luke discovers what happened here, I'll kill you!"

"..."

Emberlyn sighed.

"Yeah, yeah. I won't tell him anything."

Her reply was rather casual, since she knew her elder sister's terrible temper well enough to understand that the threat wasn't something she would actually carry out.

After all, Rhaenyra might become furious over the smallest provocation, but she would never genuinely kill her own younger sister over something like this.

Moreover, Emberlyn wasn't particularly interested in revealing what had happened either.

'It's not like I want Luke to know what I was about to do...'

Recalling how close she had come to kissing him before Rhaenyra interrupted, a faint blush returned to her cheeks.

Fortunately, her elder sister seemed too occupied with Luke to notice.

"Hmph! You'd better remember that."

Rhaenyra ignored Emberlyn's half-hearted response, since she knew her younger sister wasn't foolish enough to deliberately reveal something so embarrassing.

With Luke still resting across her shoulder, she slowly rose into the air.

FWHOOOSH!

A faint crimson aura surrounded her body as she floated toward the cave entrance, preparing to return to the Dragon Palace where Luke could recover safely.

Emberlyn immediately stood up.

She brushed the dust from her clothes before hurrying after her elder sister.

Emberlyn had done this without hesitation, her expression carrying a determination that hadn't been present earlier.

After witnessing how close Luke had come to dying, she had finally decided that she wouldn't remain passive if his life were threatened again.

Even if her father became angry, she intended to protect him properly from now on.

Rhaenyra noticed, Emberlyn action, but still she made no attempt to stop her.

With that, Rhaenyra accelerated toward the Dragon Palace, carrying the unconscious Luke across her shoulder while Emberlyn followed closely behind.

And so, the two Dragon Princesses returned home together, both concerned about the same human man, although neither was willing to openly acknowledge just how much he had begun affecting her feelings.

If news of what had happened inside that small cave ever reached the Dragon Royal Family, even their own relatives would probably struggle to believe it.

After all, who would have imagined that Rhaenyra, the proud Crimson Dragon Princess who refused to acknowledge her human husband, would personally feed him her precious blood essence and then threaten her own sister to keep the matter secret?

Or that Emberlyn, who had initially regarded Luke as merely another troublesome Hero, would openly challenge her elder sister over him?

Unfortunately for Luke, he remained completely unconscious throughout the entire incident, unaware that the two Dragon Princesses had nearly started fighting over who possessed the right to save him.

Author's Note:

And with that, we've reached the end of a small arc within Volume III!

Of course, this isn't the end of the entire volume, since we've only completed roughly half of it, but the next few chapters will finally bring Luke closer to his long-awaited breakthrough into C-Rank.

After that, the remaining part of this volume will focus more on Rhaenyra and how she gradually begins falling in love with Luke for real, while Luke, as always, continues playing the role of an perfect husband.
