Before his fight with Pan Mo, Xi Nan had mentioned the Tree of Truth.

But the name meant nothing to Pei Ze.

So he shook his head.

Mu Yuan didn’t seem to mind. He smiled and continued, “The Tree of Truth is at the very core of our Multiverse. It’s also where the entrances to other Multiverses are located. The vast majority of powerhouses at the seventh level and above are gathered there.”

“Within our Star Realm Alliance, only those who have become Rule Wizards are permitted to enter the Tree of Truth.”

“Planar Origins can only be obtained at the Tree of Truth as well.”

Pei Ze understood. “What’s the price?”

Mu Yuan smiled. “Space Rule Origin Crystals.”

Pei Ze’s brows rose slightly. He finally understood why Mu Yuan had invited him.

The gift was just a pretext, and the Planar Origin was merely a way to broach the subject. The Space Rule Origin Crystals were what he was truly after.

What puzzled Pei Ze, however, was that Mu Yuan wasn’t a Space Rule Wizard. Logically, Space Rule Origin Crystals should be of little use to him.

As if sensing Pei Ze’s confusion, Mu Yuan smiled and explained, “There are only two recognized currencies at the Tree of Truth. One is Soul Crystals from powerhouses at the seventh level or higher, and the other is Rule Origin Crystals.”

Pei Ze had a moment of realization, and much of his doubt dissipated.

The use of Soul Crystals was self-explanatory.

While Rule Origin Crystals couldn’t be used to advance one’s comprehension of Rules, they were immensely powerful in combat.

At a critical moment, they could serve as a life-saving trump card.

Just like Pan Mo before.

If he hadn’t encountered an anomaly like Pei Ze, he would have killed Xi Nan and the others and made a clean escape long ago.

Furthermore, Rule Origin Crystals weren’t exclusively for Wizards.

Beings such as Divine Spirits, Demon Lords, and Dukes of the Devil could use them as well.

His mind raced, but Pei Ze’s expression remained calm. He asked, “How many Space Rule Origin Crystals for one Planar Origin?”

Mu Yuan replied, “Fifteen.”

Pei Ze considered this for a moment.

‘It takes about eight months to condense one Space Rule Origin Crystal, so fifteen would take ten years.’

‘That’s not too long.’

‘Besides, I’m already increasing my comprehension by converting Spatial Rule Origin into crystals. I have to dissipate the excess crystals I create during that process anyway.’

‘Rather than let them go to waste, I might as well trade them for something useful.’

With this in mind, Pei Ze nodded in agreement. “I’ll need time.”

“How long?”

“About ten years.”

Mu Yuan nodded calmly, unsurprised.

‘Condensing Spatial Rule Origin is no simple task.’

‘Even a mighty Eighth-level Wizard would need a great deal of time. For a Sixth-level Wizard like Pei Ze to be able to condense Space Rule Origin Crystals at all was monstrously talented. It was only natural that he would need even longer.’

“This contains a method for preserving Rule Origin Crystals. You should find it useful.”

Mu Yuan handed him a Memory Crystal Ball.

Pei Ze didn’t stand on ceremony. He thanked him and took it.

With their business concluded, Pei Ze didn’t linger and soon took his leave.

Pei Ze didn’t need to handle the aftermath of the war. Upon returning to Chenxi City, he began to deal with the miscellaneous affairs of his Wizard Tower.

Though he called them “miscellaneous affairs,” there was really only one matter: the procurement orders for the Sky-Ringing Golems.

Given the precedent set by the Thunder God Golem, Pei Ze was already mentally prepared for this after deploying the Sky-Ringing Golems in the war.

Sure enough, the very day he returned to Chenxi City, numerous Wizards visited to inquire about purchasing Sky-Ringing Golems.

Besides strengthening his Wizard Tower’s combat power, Pei Ze’s other, more important reason for developing the Sky-Ringing Golem was to sell them and raise funds.

After all, once he became a Rule Wizard, the construction of his Floating City would have to be put on the agenda.

The cost of a Floating City was more than a hundred Wizard Towers combined—an astronomical sum. He had to start raising funds now.

And when it came to making money, selling golems was undoubtedly the most profitable method.

For a Wizard, the saying “knowledge is wealth” always held true.

Pei Ze agreed without hesitation to the Wizards who came seeking to buy.

He priced a single Sky-Ringing Golem at 300,000 Magic Crystal Stones.

Compared to its production cost of 25,000 Magic Crystal Stones, the profit margin was simply outrageous.

However, considering that each Sky-Ringing Golem had to be personally built by Pei Ze, and the labor of a distinguished Sixth-level Wizard didn’t come cheap, the price wasn’t considered particularly exorbitant.

The Wizards seeking to buy them were all fifth or sixth-level with substantial wealth. To them, trading a mere 300,000 Magic Crystal Stones for a unit with Fourth-level High-tier Combat Power was an undeniable bargain. Thus, they placed their orders on the spot without the slightest hesitation.

In just three days, Pei Ze received orders for no fewer than seventy Sky-Ringing Golems.

He wasn’t in a hurry to fulfill the orders. Instead, he first focused his energy on the Planar Origin.

…

Inside the Meditation Room, Pei Ze sat cross-legged on the floor, his gaze fixed on the golden crystal in his hand. Formless tendrils of his Spirit snaked out, sinking into the golden radiance at the crystal’s center.

In an instant, hundreds of profound and esoteric insights flooded the depths of his Sea of Consciousness.

Each insight represented a different Rule Origin.

Pei Ze calmed his mind and focused, searching among the numerous Rule Origins. He quickly found the one that represented the Rule of Space.

Just as Mu Yuan had said, this Rule Origin—extracted only by the destruction of an entire plane—was exceptionally pure, far surpassing any Rule Origin converted from the Power of Rules.

Only a Rule Origin of this kind could be used by Wizards for comprehension.

Pei Ze immediately cast aside all distracting thoughts and focused on comprehending the Rule Origin.

And so, Pei Ze invested most of his time and energy into comprehending the Planar Origin. Only in his spare moments would he visit the Golem Factory to manufacture Sky-Ringing Golems, treating it as a form of relaxation.
