Age of Wizards: I Can Analyze All Things
Chapter 520: Advancing to Rule Wizard (Part 2)
An incredibly strange expression appeared on Yin Yongqin’s face—a mixture of shock and relief.
The intense fluctuation of Rules had a Spatial Attribute. Since Pei Ze was the only person in all of Chenxi City who had mastered the Rule of Space, the identity of the one who had just advanced was obvious.
Yin Yongqin had always thought Pei Ze would eventually become a Rule Wizard, but he never expected him to break through so soon.
The young man’s monstrous talent once again left him speechless with shock.
‘The second Space Rule Wizard in the history of the Star Realm Alliance. Things are about to get lively in the Alliance again.’
Yin Yongqin looked at Mo Weng, a flash of envy in his eyes.
“You have a fine disciple.”
Mo Weng nodded slightly, his own feelings just as complex.
He was both overjoyed and gratified by Pei Ze’s breakthrough, yet also felt a pang of loneliness at being surpassed by his disciple. It was an indescribable feeling.
At this moment, Yin Xue also realized what had happened, and an expression of utter shock appeared on her face.
Pei Ze had actually become a Rule Wizard!
Although she had long known this day would come, Yin Xue was still deeply shaken.
After becoming an Elemental Mage, Yin Xue had come to understand more and more just how arduous the path of a Wizard was.
The further one progressed, the more time and energy each step forward required.
Even so, it was still highly likely to stagnate, never able to reach the next level.
It was precisely because of this that she could truly appreciate how astonishing Pei Ze’s talent was.
For Pei Ze, the barriers on the path of a Wizard’s advancement might as well not exist; he broke through them at light speed without any hindrance.
As of today, Pei Ze was now the youngest Rule Wizard in the Star Realm Alliance.
He was also the second Wizard since the Lord of the Star Realm to advance using the Rule of Space.
To some extent, Pei Ze’s future achievements might even surpass those of the Lord of the Star Realm.
After all, when the Lord of the Star Realm was Pei Ze’s age, he certainly had not achieved anything nearly as astounding.
Her thoughts raced, and for a moment, Yin Xue stood stunned, a dazed look on her face, not knowing what to say.
「…」
In a bright study inside the Wizard Tower.
Mu Yuan and Xi Nan’s expressions shifted in unison as they looked up into the distance.
After a long moment, Mu Yuan finally withdrew his gaze, a wistful look on his face.
“Our Chenxi City is about to have another Rule Wizard.”
Xi Nan couldn’t hide his amazement. “Such a young Rule Wizard,” he said with emotion. “Barring any accidents, advancing further in the future is almost a certainty. It seems it won’t be long before the Star Realm Alliance has another Eighth-level Wizard.”
Mu Yuan nodded gently in agreement.
As long as no accidents befell them, it was no problem for a Seventh-level Wizard to live for an entire epoch.
With such a long lifespan, Pei Ze’s promotion to an Eighth-level Wizard was practically a sure thing, given his talent.
What’s more, Pei Ze had mastered the Rule of Space; his future was limitless.
“Once Pei Ze comes out of seclusion, I’ll have to trouble Chairman Xi to act as a guide and take him to the Tree of Truth,” Mu Yuan said.
Xi Nan immediately agreed with a solemn voice.
Even inside the Wizard Tower, the energy fluctuations from Pei Ze’s breakthrough were still incredibly intense. Every Wizard at the sixth level and above in Chenxi City sensed it in an instant and immediately realized what was happening.
Soon, the news of Pei Ze becoming a Rule Wizard swept through Chenxi City like a hurricane, even spreading to other Wizard Cities.
The birth of any Rule Wizard was a major event for the entire Star Realm Alliance.
Not to mention, the one who had just advanced was a Space Rule Wizard.
This caused quite a stir throughout the whole Star Realm Alliance.
While the outside world was in an uproar, the person in question was immersed in condensing Space Rule Origin Crystals.
Following his breakthrough, Pei Ze’s speed at condensing Space Rule Origin Crystals had increased dramatically, shortening the time required from about seven months to just one.
Furthermore, the maximum number he could bear had also skyrocketed.
Only after condensing eighteen Space Rule Origin Crystals in a row did Pei Ze feel that familiar sense of stagnation and fullness.
‘Eighteen is the limit, huh.’
Pei Ze nodded to himself.
‘With these eighteen Space Rule Origin Crystals, I wouldn’t be afraid even if I had to face a Dominator-rank Seventh-level Wizard.’
The only slight disappointment was that condensing Space Rule Origin Crystals now provided very little benefit to his understanding of the Rule.
A single Space Rule Origin Crystal only increased his mastery of the Rule by a mere 0.05%.
At this rate, without any external help, it would take Pei Ze over a hundred years to break through to the stage of Control.
If he also considered the fact that improving his mastery would become more difficult the further he progressed, that time would have to be doubled.
‘It’ll take over three hundred years to reach the Control stage, and who knows how long to reach the Domination stage, let alone advance to the eighth level.’
Pei Ze sighed to himself. ‘As I thought, I need to find a way to get my hands on a planar origin.’
‘It’s time to take a trip to the Tree of Truth.’
Having made his decision, Pei Ze ended his nearly two-year seclusion and walked out of the Wizard Tower.
However, just as he left the Wizard Tower, a crack suddenly split open in the void before him, and Xi Nan stepped out.
“Congratulations, Pei Ze, on successfully mastering the Rule of Space. From now on, you are one of us.”
Xi Nan offered his congratulations with a smile the moment he appeared.
“Thank you.”
Pei Ze smiled and nodded in acknowledgment.
Only after becoming a Rule Wizard could one truly appreciate the chasm-like gap between the sixth and seventh levels.
From the sixth level onward, the power difference between each realm was like the distance between heaven and earth; they were simply incomparable.
Back then, if Pei Ze hadn’t relied on a higher-level Rule Origin, he never would have been able to kill Pan Mo.
Possessing such immense power, it was no wonder that Rule Wizards held a transcendent status in the Wizard Cities, and indeed, in the entire Star Realm Alliance.
Although the various sixth-level Councillors were responsible for coordinating all affairs, the Rule Wizards mostly remained hidden behind the scenes.
But the true rulers were, and only were, the Rule Wizards.
“At Chairman Mu Yuan’s request, I’ve come to act as your guide to the Tree of Truth,” Xi Nan said with a smile.
Pei Ze nodded readily. “Then I’ll have to trouble you, Chairman Xi.”
Xi Nan said no more. With a flip of his wrist, a tree branch appeared in his palm.
The branch was only a little over ten centimeters long and looked unremarkable, but upon closer inspection, one could feel a simple, ancient, and distant charm emanating from it.
Without any apparent action from Xi Nan, the branch suddenly erupted in a blindingly intense light, instantly engulfing both his and Pei Ze’s figures.
By the time the light faded, the two of them had vanished.
「…」
In the endless void, countless star-like spheres of light were scattered about, emitting a brilliant and constant glow. Like innumerable suns, they stretched out in all directions.
Pei Ze and Xi Nan were enveloped in a cyan sphere of light, streaking like a meteor through the dense field of stars.
“This is…”
A look of astonishment flashed across Pei Ze’s face as he observed the surrounding stars.
He could clearly sense the aura of Rules coming from within the sun-like spheres. It was extremely similar to a planar origin, but more complex and teeming with more vibrant life.
After a moment of thought, Pei Ze immediately understood.
These spheres of light were obviously individual planes.
Realizing this, Pei Ze was greatly amazed.
He understood that he and Xi Nan must be in the middle of planar travel.
It was just that his previous planar travels had always been through a Teleportation Gate or a Teleportation Array, or by directly tearing through a plane’s barrier with immense power. He had never experienced a method like this.
‘It’s like traveling through a wormhole.’
“The Tree of Truth is different from ordinary planes.”
Xi Nan’s voice sounded beside his ear.
He seemed to have noticed Pei Ze’s astonishment and explained softly:
“Unlike ordinary planes, it cannot be perceived or discovered. The only way to reach its location is by using a part of the Tree of Truth itself to trace back to its origin.”
As he spoke, their speed gradually slowed, and they arrived in a long river of white light.
Sphere after sphere of white light, emitting a mysterious aura, hung silently in the starry void, like a resplendent river of stars.
Pei Ze’s gaze was immediately drawn to the sphere of light at the very center.
It was an incomparably massive sphere of light. Its outer layer was a flawless, pure white brilliance, while within was a tree so vibrantly green it seemed to drip with life.
The tree stood as tall and straight as a mountain peak, its leaves lush and full of life, shimmering with an emerald luster. It was like a living, breathing tapestry of life.
The white sphere of light carrying Pei Ze and Xi Nan plunged headfirst toward the tree, disappearing into it without a trace.
