All My Professions Have Divine-Level Talents
Chapter 508 - 271: Level 5 Warrior
Chapter 508: Chapter 271: Level 5 Warrior
"What are all these?"
Lu Cang asked An Su.
"Heh, just some... historical regrets."
"These events led to great disasters, and because of them, the entire world lost a part of itself."
"If the Arian Saint Church incident could have been averted."
"Most Profession changes now probably wouldn’t require a Secret Scroll..."
"If the Emperor hadn’t fallen asleep, the activities of the Nest in this world probably wouldn’t be so rampant."
"And the Great Migration was an unstoppable Nest riot."
"That Great Migration resulted in one-fifth of the world’s territory, which originally belonged to intelligent life, becoming a gathering place for Demons. This even included an entire continent and its surrounding seas."
Hearing An Su’s explanation, Lu Cang paused.
"One-fifth of the world?"
"Are you talking about the seas?"
’If the seas are included, then one-fifth does seem about right.’
"The seas?"
"Heh, the seas have never been the territory of intelligent life."
Lu Cang said, "But isn’t there the Fishman Race?"
"The Fishman Race? What’s the difference between those things and Demons? They learned to coexist with Demons in the sea long ago."
’Another thing I’ve never heard before.’
But he had never heard of any continent or sea that had been completely overrun by Demons.
"It’s normal for you not to know about these things. The Great Migration happened before your current calendar was established."
Lu Cang gazed into the depths of the mist.
’Many other scenes are appearing vaguely. Each one must correspond to a tragic piece of History...’
WHOOSH—
The mist’s speed suddenly increased!
Soon, after the thick mist dispersed, Lu Cang found himself in a bustling city.
"This is..."
Lu Cang looked up at the sky. It was night, and the first thing he saw was a bright white moon.
Lu Cang sensed the aura of the entire world.
"An Su, where are we?"
An Su replied, "Heh, how would I know?"
"Even I haven’t been to every city in this world."
Lu Cang looked at a nearby shop. On a board in front of the bakery, today’s date was written.
"Looks like it’s the year 3272."
The year 3272.
Lu Cang made a quick calculation. Excluding the forgotten months, his current time should have been exactly the year 3000—a leap year.
The month...
Lu Cang tried to sense the current month. Besides the white moon, the sky was a chaotic expanse of stars.
The air was filled with an aura of chaos and madness.
This month was still the month of chaos and madness.
Lu Cang felt a faint voice echo between heaven and earth—it was the chaotic, ever-shifting voice of Aigemisa.
"In this city, a tragic event is about to occur—one that the entire world will regret, an event that no one wishes to see happen."
"Stop it from happening."
The voice faded, and Lu Cang turned his gaze back to the city.
’So, I’m supposed to save the world, huh.’
The Level 6 Observer Undead appeared beside Lu Cang.
It scanned the entire city.
Its Perception covered a radius of twenty thousand kilometers, yet it couldn’t see the city’s edge...
’It’s another massive city.’
"An Su, do you have any ideas? Something that happened in 3272 that caused the entire world to grieve."
An Su thought for a moment. "Made the whole world grieve?"
"I don’t know."
"Perhaps Aigemisa is the only one who knows."
Lu Cang paused for a moment, thinking.
’This isn’t the real world. It’s just a simulation of a past event.’
’If it’s not real...’
’...then my options aren’t so limited.’
’Solving a problem by sticking to my principles and solving it by abandoning all morals are two completely different things.’
SWISH!
Lu Cang instantly transformed into a streak of light and took flight.
About half a minute later, Lu Cang appeared in the wilderness outside the city.
’No matter what happens next...’
’The first thing is to get both my Warrior and Mage Professions to Level 5.’
’Strength is what matters most.’
With extreme skill, Lu Cang carved a Ritual Array for promotion onto the ground.
Now that he didn’t have to fight off corruption, things were much easier.
Soon, in just a few minutes,
the promotion Array was complete. Lu Cang let out a long breath and looked up at the sky.
"I am a Fearless Warrior who has upheld the creed of battle!"
As he began his promotion, Lu Cang’s nerves were on edge.
’I wonder if this Level 4 to Level 5 promotion will attract something again. After all, last time it brought An Su.’
’But An Su’s situation is special.’
’He was mainly drawn to my soul.’
’But when it comes to the Warrior Source...’
’I don’t think I have anything particularly attractive.’
VMM!
The sky split open, and a Source resembling a suspended sword appeared in the firmament.
Lu Cang then began to demonstrate each of his Combat Skills!
His Combat Skills assaulted the surrounding mountain forests, the earth, and the sky!
BOOM!
With every move he made, golden Holy Flame danced and a storm of Giant Blades raged.
Swathes of land cracked open, forests were obliterated, and a thick beam of light from a Heavy Sword shot out, severing the base of a mountain.
Lu Cang placed his hands under the mountain and heaved upward!
He actually moved the entire mountain!
Then, with another great lift, he raised his hands high, hoisting the sizable mountain into the air!
This was a demonstration of power!
Now that Lu Cang’s strength was consolidated, he could move mountains with his bare hands. He wondered if he was stronger or weaker than Chi Cheng was at Level 4.
Lu Cang then exerted his strength again, sending a powerful shockwave through the uplifted mountain with his hands!
The force traveled into the mountain’s core!
A sound of cracking and shattering could be heard.
With a tremendous roar!
The entire mountain exploded into countless fragments of rock!
’It’s a shame. During this promotion, I don’t have a real opponent to test my strength against.’
Lu Cang felt that this demonstration was far from perfect.
But thankfully, it was more than enough to suffice.
Lu Cang presented the tokens that proved he had experienced battle: the bones and bark of various Demon Beasts, including those from a Tier Seven Demon.
This was the process of promoting from Level 4 to Level 5.
He had experienced the battle with Aertemi and fought against all sorts of powerful enemies in one Future Preview after another.
Unfortunately, although the battles in the previews were recognized by the creed and held some meaning, it wasn’t a significant amount.
The battles in the previews were not considered real combat.
But thankfully, there were many of them, and the enemies were strong enough, which helped make up for a lot.
The creed for promotion seemed to have been lowered significantly, but in reality... that was only for Lu Cang. For an ordinary person, meeting promotion requirements similar to Lu Cang’s was still nigh impossible.
Thankfully, it was all over.
Lu Cang felt the creed he upheld receive its affirmation.
Now, he was a Level 5 Warrior.
