Chapter 795: Chapter 795: The Unlucky Twin Sister (24)

Qiann Yan hasn’t stopped practicing martial arts this year. After concealing her presence, the man ran up to her and only then noticed her existence.

"You’re really unlucky. If you want to live, quickly lie down and pretend to be unconscious." The young man pushed Qiann Yan, but she was as steady as a mountain and wasn’t moved at all. She glanced at the dirty ground behind her and refused to lie down.

"Troublesome! Just my luck."

"Must have owed you in a past life."

The young man’s voice sounded a bit desperate. Seeing he couldn’t push Qiann Yan, he directly turned and ran back to where he came from, then turned a corner and ran in another direction.

Before Qiann Yan could catch up, a group of people ran in the direction the man was heading. She didn’t hesitate and quickly followed.

"Brother Linn, don’t blame me, you found out something you shouldn’t have known."

"If Brother Linn changes his mind now, it’s not too late. Join the brothers and Brother Linn will get the biggest share."

The young man had nowhere left to run. He changed his original route and ended up in a dead-end alley.

He was covering his bleeding arm, blood dripping onto the ground without a flinch.

"Impossible."

"Then sorry, since Brother Linn is unwilling, the brothers can only send you off. We all know Brother Linn’s temperament, if you survive today, none of us have a way out."

Linn Huai lowered his eyelids, his prominent side profile was clouded, and an intense voice sounded: "Let me give you some advice: there are some things you should not touch. Since you dared to meddle in my territory, I have every reason to stop you. This thing corrupts people’s wills, and as long as I’m here, I won’t allow it to appear on my turf."

"Have you read history?"

"Do you know what costs our ancestors paid to eradicate this thing back then?"

The thugs in front looked impatient, their faces turned fierce as they charged at Linn Huai with knives, forcing him to quickly dodge.

Qiann Yan watched from outside for a while. Seeing that the young man truly couldn’t escape and those thugs had weapons, while the youth was injured not just on his arm but his abdomen too, if she didn’t step in, it would be over today.

From their brief exchange, she learned a bit.

Deciding to intervene, she didn’t hesitate and quickly dashed into the crowd, taking down the thugs in no time who ended up groaning on the ground, powerless to resist.

Qiann Yan struck their key points, and they’d be unable to muster strength for at least two hours.

Linn Huai leaned against the wall. Earlier, one of the men came at him with a knife face-on. Unarmed, he was considering how to dodge with minimal harm. Unexpectedly, a sudden turn of events occurred.

The vicious group was taken down with no ability to fight back by a little girl.

Linn Huai watched Qiann Yan approach, his body tensed. He asked in a low voice: "Who are you with? I won’t hand the thing over."

He initially planned to find an opportunity to hand it over after escaping. Unexpectedly, they discovered him and chased him here. He had been monitoring this matter for a long time, since the opponents were causing trouble in his territory. It pained him especially as one of the participants was a brother he worked with.

This person’s involvement was why his territory had turned into a haven for their misdeeds.

Linn Huai slightly raised his gaze, the wariness in his eyes uninhibited, thinking whether Qiann Yan might be someone groomed as a female enforcer by some faction.

Would any ordinary girl be so fierce?

He felt he was done for.

Yet, even if someone arranged an attractive and formidable woman, he wouldn’t compromise; he would never hand it over.
