Chapter 428 - What? When?
Chapter 428: Chapter 428 - What? When?
Voren slowly pulled away from the warm embrace, taking a long, deep breath as he forced himself to pull it together and calm the storm of emotions still raging inside him.
He wiped the remaining tears from his face with the back of his hand before looking at Seraphine, his eyes still a little red and raw. "You can forgive him." His voice was quiet, carrying both deep sadness and a quiet understanding. "But don’t tell him yet."
Seraphine tilted her head slightly, her brows drawing together in gentle curiosity. "Why?"
Voren looked toward the window, his thoughts lingering heavily on his father and everything the man was going through. "Everything Olivia did is already crushing him." His jaw tightened with the weight of it all. "He just realized he lost his wife for so many years. The truth destroyed everything he thought he knew about his life, his love, and his past." He sighed deeply, the sound full of exhaustion. "And now, he’s completely alone."
Seraphine’s expression softened immediately. Concern quickly replaced the warmth that had been in her eyes just moments before. "Do you really think he’ll be okay?" She frowned, genuine worry etching across her beautiful face.
She personally did not hold a grudge against Vladimir because he was Voren’s father. In the same way, she would have easily forgiven Olivia if not for the crimes she committed against Oriana.
That was unforgiveable. As for insults, she could shake them off. After all, Voren had always been by her side. "I’m really worried about him." Her fingers intertwined with Voren’s, holding on tight like she needed the connection to steady herself.
Voren nodded slowly. "I already thought about that." A small, knowing smile stretched his lips. "I noticed Corvine sneaking around earlier." He chuckled softly, the sound warm in the quiet room. "He probably thinks no one notices what he’s doing. But knowing him, he’s already watching Dad without making it obvious at all."
Seraphine smiled fondly at the mention of Corvine. "That sounds exactly like him." She leaned comfortably against Voren, resting her head on his shoulder. "You know, I honestly wish he’d end up being mates with Jasmine." She smiled to herself, the thought clearly bringing her some comfort. "I don’t want him leaving us."
Voren laughed quietly, the sound low and affectionate. "I feel the same." His smile faded into something more thoughtful and serious. "But unfortunately, he doesn’t see Jasmine that way." He shook his head. "And Kael has already made it pretty clear that he’s interested in her."
Seraphine’s smile slowly disappeared. She liked Kael a lot. He was kind, dependable, and deserved real happiness too. But so did Corvine. Her heart felt genuinely torn between the two of them. "I just hope Corvine finds someone." She looked down at her hands. "Someone who loves him the way he truly deserves."
She smiled sadly. "I know he struggles to sleep. He always pretends he’s just checking security or making sure everyone is okay." She looked back at Voren. "But I think what he’s really missing is peace." She smiled warmly, full of hope. "I hope one day someone gives him that kind of peace."
Voren gently brushed a loose strand of hair behind her ear, his touch tender and loving. "I hope so too."
After a comfortable, peaceful silence wrapped around them, he suddenly remembered something important. "Oh. The helicopter will arrive tomorrow afternoon. We’ll fly straight to the Outlands." His expression became more serious. "I already booked an entire hotel."
Seraphine blinked in surprise. "For everyone?"
Voren nodded proudly. "Every single room. I’m not letting anyone from our family stay anywhere else. Not after everything that’s happened. They’ll all be together where we can keep them safe and close."
Seraphine’s heart warmed at his thoughtfulness. She reached over and squeezed his hand tightly. "Thank you, V." Her smile grew brighter and more genuine. "That means a lot to me."
She thought for a moment before adding, "Tallulah and Zane need to stay with us too. They’re important witnesses. And Emery has become a really good friend. I’d like her staying with them."
Voren smiled. "Already considered. There are more than enough rooms. No one’s being left behind."
The tension between them finally snapped, melting into something thick and electric. A slow, wicked grin spread across Voren’s face, his eyes dark with pure lust. "You know..." he murmured, voice low and rough, "we’ve never fucked on a yacht before."
Seraphine caught that hungry look and burst into a bright, breathless laugh, but her body was already responding, heat pooling low in her belly. "Seriously, babe?" She nudged his shoulder, biting her lip. "After all the crazy shit that went down today, that’s what’s got you rock hard right now?"
Voren’s grin turned shameless, his eyes blazing with raw, wicked lust as he drank her in. "It’s still our wedding night, baby. I need to fuck my wife the way she deserves, deep, slow, and filthy enough to seal every damn blessing from that human God. Did you forget what Kylie said? You were supposed to be Ravyn’s but I stole you. And now I’m gonna claim this sweet pussy every single day, in every way you can take me."
His mouth crashed against the sensitive crook of her neck, hot and wet, teeth grazing her skin as he sucked hard enough to make her gasp.
Seraphine’s cheeks flushed hot, her nipples tightening under the thin fabric. Fuck, he always won. She smiled at him, eyes heavy with love and dripping need. "You got me, V... let’s make this night so fucking unforgettable I can’t walk tomorrow."
Voren kissed her like he was starving, deep, messy, tongue fucking her mouth before he pulled back just enough to groan, "I love you so much, babe. But you don’t have that wolf instinct. You sure you can handle all this?"
His fingers were already working the clasp of her necklace, lips back on her neck, sucking and licking until Seraphine moaned loud and needy, arching into him.
"Why don’t we find out?" she whispered, voice trembling with want. "I love you so much, V... I can never resist this cock." She pulled down his boxers, releasing the rock hard hungry beast underneath, greed Flickered in her eyes. "Take me."
Voren groaned deep in his chest, as their mouths slammed together again. Seraphine’s fingers shook while she unclasped his necklace too.
In one savage move he tore the delicate lingerie right off her body, the sound of ripping fabric making her shiver and clench with fresh arousal. Cool night air hit her bare skin, nipples aching, pussy already soaked and throbbing.
"I loved that piece," she breathed, half-laughing, half-moaning. "It was a gift from Jasmine."
Voren froze instantly, pulling back with wide eyes. "What? When?"
