American Adventure: My Uncle is Don Quixote
Chapter 503: Wait For Me to Kill You
Chapter 503 -329: Wait For Me to Kill You
Darkness was like daylight to him.
The warehouse was larger than he’d imagined, roughly the size of two football fields and divided into several areas.
The largest area was piled high with cardboard boxes and plastic barrels. They contained the packaged drugs.
Next to them was a packing station covered with vacuum sealers, electronic scales, and rolls of plastic wrap.
Below, a large group of people thrashed about in chaotic darkness. Flashlight beams crisscrossed as some held guns while others desperately pounded on the rolling shutter door.
Li Wei dropped silently from the steel beams.
For the people in the warehouse, what followed was a nightmare.
In the darkness, they could only see a blurry figure. All they heard were their comrades’ screams and the sound of twisting metal as guns were snapped in two.

…
In less than eight minutes, everyone in the warehouse was on the ground.
The Jester’s Skull lazily spun in the air, the light from its Ruby eyes illuminating the carnage.
[All 48 Skeleton Soldiers have been eliminated… Master, it seems you are far more formidable than I imagined. You are certainly no ordinary Silver Knight. It is my honor to be your servant…]
[Given time, you will surely transcend even the Heroic Knights to become the greatest, most invincible being.]
Li Wei, however, ignored the Jester’s Skull’s flattery. He had noticed another room, partitioned off at the very back of the warehouse.
It was enclosed by several temporary partitions, separating it from the packing area outside. While clearing the warehouse, Li Wei had heard a faint gasp from inside.
Li Wei walked over and pushed aside the plastic curtain.
Seven people were sitting inside.
Three women and four men, all skin and bones. Their abdomens, however, were abnormally swollen, as if they were pregnant.
But they weren’t pregnant. They were drug mules.
The traffickers had forced them to swallow drug capsules wrapped in plastic wrap and condoms, and were waiting for them to pass the cargo.
If a capsule were to rupture inside them, they would die from acute poisoning within minutes.
The seven people stared with vacant eyes, not even thinking of moving as the curtain was pushed aside.
Li Wei, his [Sight Obscuration] active, felt a familiar emotion begin to fester.
This was the second target of his rage since the cult incident in Utah.
Kuchilo.
He walked back into the main warehouse and stood before an unconscious man.
This must have been the warehouse boss. When Li Wei first entered, he’d seen several men forming a protective circle around him.
He took a phone from the man’s pocket.
Using the man’s fingerprint to unlock it, Li Wei easily found Kuchilo’s contact information.
Li Wei made the call.
It rang three times before connecting.
“Marco,” Kuchilo’s voice came from the earpiece, laced with irritation and drowsiness. “What is it now, in the middle of the night?”
“Marco’s hands and feet are shattered,” Li Wei said. “He won’t be able to take your calls anymore.”
Two seconds of silence on the other end.
“Who are you?” Kuchilo demanded. “Are you with Jalisco? Or some hired Mercenaries?”
“Neither.”
“Then who are you?”
“I’m Batman,” Li Wei said with a smile. “And I’m here to deliver your judgment.”
“Why?”
“Because I saw what you do. That’s why.”
No sound from the other end of the line.
“Tomorrow night, I’m coming to your estate,” Li Wei said. “Are you going to run?”
“Bastard, cut the bullshit,” Kuchilo’s voice dropped. “Are you threatening me?”
“No,” Li Wei said. “I’m notifying you.”
Kuchilo was silent for a moment.
“If you have the balls, then come,” Kuchilo said coldly. “I’ll be waiting.”
“Good.”
Li Wei hung up. He glanced at the people in the partitioned room, then dialed emergency services. In brief Spanish, he gave the warehouse’s address and a description of the situation. Then, he walked to the rolling shutter door and shoved aside the forklift blocking the entrance.
Metal screeched harshly against the ground, and a fresh night wind rushed in.
Before the medics and police arrived, Li Wei moved several large boxes of drugs to an empty space and set them on fire.
Tomorrow would be the final night. Li Wei stood upwind, looking at the count of 72 Skeleton Soldiers on his system panel.
The firelight stretched his shadow long, the two ears of his Batman mask like twin blades on the ground.
Li Wei watched the drugs crackle and burn, and he suddenly felt the urge to talk to someone.
He first sent a message to Anya, but she didn’t reply. She must have gone to bed early.
He then sent a message to Elizabeth.
Li Wei: [You up?]
To his surprise, Elizabeth replied just a few seconds later.
Elizabeth: [Yep]
Elizabeth: [Why are you still up so late.]
Elizabeth: [Something on your mind?]
Li Wei smiled and replied:
Li Wei: [Just thinking.]
Elizabeth: [I’m all ears.]
Li Wei: [It’s nothing… Just feeling a little off.]
Elizabeth: [I figured. Is it because of the production line?]
Elizabeth: [It’s okay, I can help, you know. You don’t have to do everything yourself.]
Elizabeth: [It’s just Pepsi and Coke. How dare they mess with you. When are you coming back to New York? I’ll help you get even.]
Li Wei chuckled softly. He suddenly thought Elizabeth was incredibly adorable.
Li Wei: [Are you free when I get back?]
Elizabeth: [Well… that depends on who’s asking.]
Elizabeth: [For you, I’m always free.]
