Ancient Dragon Elephant Technique
Chapter 1905 - 21: Weeping for You Before the Yellow Mud Platform
Actually, Lin Feng is more inclined to believe that the Thunder God and the Ancient Dragon Elephant have already fallen.
Because various events indicate that they have indeed fallen.
First, the magic bead Lin Feng obtained was originally a treasure of the Ancient Dragon Elephant.
Unless the Ancient Dragon Elephant has fallen, who could possibly take this treasure from him?
Secondly, there’s the appearance of Thunder City.
This is an ancient city built by the Thunder God, and also the city where he lived, where there are people who worship the Thunder God.
It is where the Thunder God’s most devout followers lived.
Yet now Thunder City has become a dead city, and so eerie; if the Thunder God were truly alive, how could he let the city he built himself end up like this?
So now, Lin Feng recalls the previous conversation between the Thunder God and the Ancient Dragon Elephant and feels that it was a conversation from billions of years ago, only reappearing before his eyes billions of years later.
Lin Feng is not sure what exactly killed the Thunder God, but the eerie state of Thunder City might be related to the Thunder God’s fall years ago.
He continued walking through the ancient city, and soon after, Lin Feng heard screams. When he arrived, dozens of cultivators had already gathered here.
These cultivators surrounded the front, discussing the eerie happenings they saw with solemn expressions.
Lin Feng’s face slightly changed upon arrival; there were more than ten pools of blood on the ground, but no bodies were visible.
The dead had disappeared silently and without a trace.
"We came a step too late and couldn’t see the culprit!"
Someone said this.
"How did they die? Was it at the hands of human beings, or killed by some unclean thing?"
Someone asked.
Many people looked uncertain because the situation before them was just too eerie.
At this time, a cultivator sneered and said, "I prefer to believe these people died at human hands! In this world, the most frightening thing is not any monsters or evil spirits, but the human heart!"
This cultivator’s words provoked much contemplation among the people.
Indeed.
Just like he said, the most terrifying thing in this world is the human heart.
The cultivator continued, "After killing and plundering, one creates some eerie situations to stir chaos; such things are not difficult for many people!"
Many people nodded, finding the cultivator’s words quite reasonable.
"Even if this ancient city is strange, we need not fear. I presume everyone carries Supreme Treasures of Buddhism or Taoism; take them out for protection. Those monsters and evil spirits will not approach, but if they do, our Buddhist treasures will be enough to destroy them!"
The cultivator continued, his voice firm and spirited, enough to incite others.
Many people began taking out their treasures of Buddhism or Taoism, such as Buddhist kasaya, wooden fish, Buddhist scriptures, and other treasures.
Taoist robes, talismans, horsetail whisks, and other treasures.
Any treasure that could restrain monsters and evil spirits was taken out by the cultivators and worn or held in hand.
Lin Feng took out his Bodhi Seed and Ten Thousand Forms Golden Buddha; if encountered with any dreadful Holy Spirit, these two treasures would undoubtedly play a crucial role.
A group of people journeyed together, walking deeper, and before long, they encountered some other cultivators.
Woo woo woo...
The eerie crying sound still lingered.
"Crying for you in front of the Yellow Mud Platform..."
Vaguely, the sobbing seemed to carry a mournful voice.
Many people heard it and felt their scalp tingle.
"Did you hear that voice? What did it say?" Someone asked.
Many shook their heads, not hearing clearly the specific content.
Lin Feng said, "Crying for you in front of the Yellow Mud Platform..."
His heart was unsettled, and he wondered what this sentence signified.
Lin Feng then inquired of the Demon Monarch and Black Bear Demon Monarch, but they too were unclear of its meaning.
The Demon Monarch only had some remnants of his soul, and many memories were missing, leaving many things he couldn’t recall.
And as for the Black Bear Demon Monarch, although he once followed Emperor Chonglou.
However.
After Emperor Chonglou became emperor, he fell not long after.
Thus, the Black Bear Demon Monarch wasn’t privy to many secrets, remaining unclear about many things.
But the words "Yellow Mud Platform" left a deep impression on Lin Feng; he felt it must represent something incredibly extraordinary and supernatural.
Therefore, he remained wary.
"Crying for you in front of the Yellow Mud Platform? What is the Yellow Mud Platform? Crying for you? Is it crying for one’s husband?" Someone asked.
Everyone shook their heads.
Nobody knows the true meaning behind this sentence, and it cannot be simply interpreted from the literal words; doing so would be overly simplistic.
The sound of crying soon faded away.
As with the previous incidents, the crying sound wasn’t constantly emitted.
It would only reappear after a period of silence.
Lin Feng and the others moved deeper into the area, their group growing in numbers. Initially, they numbered only a few dozen, but soon they had gathered three to four hundred people.
With so many gathered together, their courage naturally grew.
"Ah!"
At that moment, a scream from afar alerted everyone, causing them to rush over, seeing cultivators lying down one by one.
After these cultivators fell, their bodies vanished without a trace.
Leaving only a bloodstain on the ground.
Seeing this scene, many people felt a chill run down their spine.
Supernatural events were unfolding.
Lin Feng and others had witnessed such bloodstains before.
But no bodies.
Now.
The supernatural occurrences were happening right before their eyes, making many uneasy.
"Playing tricks!"
A dozen people flew over from afar, each one a Taoist, with the leading old Taoist scattering golden powder out front.
A fierce wind swept up.
The golden powder danced in the air.
From a corner, over twenty cultivators suddenly appeared, dressed in black, originally concealed within the void, unnoticed by anyone, but now, upon contact with the golden powder scattered by the old Taoist, they became fully visible, startling everyone, who then responded angrily.
They had been deceived by this group.
Many shouted angrily, rushing towards the over twenty cultivators.
The faces of those cultivators changed dramatically, turning to flee.
But many pursuers relentlessly chased them.
Lin Feng, however, smiled bitterly.
Many inexplicable events, it turns out, are orchestrated by humans.
Some people love to play tricks.
Stir up chaos.
That better suits their actions.
"Ah..."
Suddenly, an incredibly harsh scream came from up front, like the scream of a fierce ghost.
Everyone’s face abruptly changed—it was the escaping group of over twenty cultivators and their pursuers who screamed. What was happening ahead?
"Hurry, go check it out!"
