Meanwhile, the birthday banquet was still in full swing.

Since the banquet began, Chu Jingyan had been watching Lin Feng for quite some time. He had even witnessed what happened in the corner of the lawn.

Then, he saw a servant escort Lin Feng toward the back of the mansion.

Chu Jingyan waited for a little while before following them.

By the time he reached the back of the manor, he had already heard a splash in the distance.

When he rounded the corner and approached the staircase leading to the balcony corridor, he paused.

Lin Feng and the servant were nowhere to be seen.

Then, he heard faint splashing sounds coming from the pond below the open gallery.

He was about to investigate when the shrill cries of birds suddenly rang out across the garden.

A faint humming followed, vibrating through the air.

Chu Jingyan frowned slightly.

At the same time, the guests on the lawn began to notice something unusual.

A faint humming sound drifted through the air.

"Hmm? What’s that sound?"

"Can you hear that?"

At first, it was barely noticeable, like the distant buzzing of insects. But within seconds, the sound grew louder and louder, gradually turning into a strange roar.

Then, several butterflies appeared.

Their beautiful, colorful wings fluttered through the air, catching the sunlight as they flew over the lawn.

The guests were surprised at first. Some even smiled, thinking this was part of the birthday celebration’s program.

"I see, so it’s just a special program!"

"It almost scared me."

But soon, more butterflies appeared.

From every direction, countless butterflies began pouring into the estate.

In the blink of an eye, the entire sky above the lawn was filled with them.

Thousands of translucent wings caught the sunlight, creating a dazzling storm of colors. Their movements seemed chaotic, yet strangely synchronized.

As they fluttered together, countless flickering patterns spread across the air, forming a brilliant rainbow that covered everything in sight.

The guests’ smiles gradually froze.

"What...?"

"What’s going on?!"

Before anyone could react, the swarm descended upon them.

The butterflies swept across the lawn like a blinding snowstorm, rushing past the guests and pelting against their clothes, faces, and exposed skin.

A dry, rustling sound filled the air.

It was the sound of thousands upon thousands of paper-thin wings beating together.

"Ah!"

"What’s happening?!"

"Get them away!"

The guests screamed and scrambled to escape.

Some covered their faces with their hands, while others stumbled over overturned chairs and tables.

The waiters were equally terrified.

Even the Wei family, the hosts of the birthday banquet, were caught completely off guard.

Wei Tianyu stared at the scene in disbelief. The other members of the Wei family and their guests were equally shocked.

What was happening?!

Even Hou Yizhen, who had only taken a few steps toward the corner Rong Zexin had pointed out, was momentarily stunned.

He had been looking in that direction where Lin Feng was supposed to be waiting, and had been wondering why he could only see a group of girls.

But before he could clearly make out what was happening, the swarm of butterflies flooded his vision.

It was as though a living storm cloud had suddenly descended upon the entire estate.

And this was only the beginning.

In the back garden, Chu Jingyan was equally stunned.

The moment the humming grew louder, the world around him exploded into colors.

Millions of colorful butterflies came rushing from every direction, converging toward the center of the garden, pelting onto his back, forcing him to press himself against the wall.

They flooded Chu Jingyan’s entire field of vision, their countless wings overlapping until the sunlight was completely blocked out.

The butterflies spun faster and faster, forming a gigantic whirlwind above the pond.

The trees swayed beneath the powerful gusts of wind, and the plants along the pond were whipped about violently.

It was like a tornado.

Thousands upon thousands of butterflies swirled above the pond in endless circles. It was a living tornado made of countless butterflies, growing larger with every passing second.

Chu Jingyan had never seen anything like this in his entire life.

His stunned gaze followed the center of the tornado, tracing the swirling mass down to its lowest point.

It was directly above the pond.

The water below was rippling violently.

Countless koi fish were swimming frantically, all surging toward a single point.

A faint silhouette of outstretched hands could barely be seen beneath the water before disappearing again.

Chu Jingyan’s expression changed and an ominous realization filled his mind.

Without another moment’s hesitation, he rushed toward the pond.

Splash!

He plunged into the cold water.

Meanwhile, the situation on the lawn was rapidly deteriorating.

Before the guests could recover from the shock of the butterfly swarm, the ground suddenly began to tremble.

At first, it was only a faint vibration beneath their feet.

Then, the rumbling grew stronger.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Something was approaching.

From beyond the high walls surrounding the estate, countless animals began rushing toward the mansion.

Squirrels leaped from the trees and raced across the ground and rabbits darted through the grass, followed by foxes and wild hares.

Deer bounded down the mountainside, their hooves pounding against the earth, and even wild boars came charging through the undergrowth.

Birds flew from the surrounding forests, while ducks and other waterfowl abandoned the lakes and streams, heading to the mansion.

The entire mountainside seemed to have come to life!

The once-peaceful birthday banquet had descended into complete chaos.

The Wei family was frantically shouting instructions, urging the terrified guests to enter the mansion.

But there were simply too many animals. It was a beast tide!

And above them...

The clear blue spring sky was gradually disappearing.

High-pitched cries and sharp screeches filled the air as countless birds flew toward the estate. They circled above the mansion, gathering more and more densely until they resembled a gigantic swarm of locusts.

Their wings completely blotted out the sunlight.

If anyone could have seen the scene from above, they would have witnessed an unbelievable sight.

A massive cloud of birds was circling above the Versailles-style mansion, completely covering the sky.

Below them, countless animals were pouring out from the surrounding mountains and forests.

For miles around, the landscape was covered with moving creatures, forming a dense, living blanket that stretched across the entire mountainside.

It was as though every living creature in the vicinity had received the same command.

Bai Jianning and the other girls ran towards the mansion in fear.

A small, dark flash streaked past in front of them, and the terrified girls screamed.

"Ahh!"

The squirrels and other small animals scampered up the walls and ran across the lawn, jumping from one place to another, making an already chaotic scene even more chaotic.

Suddenly, Bai Jianning’s arm was grabbed by a large hand, almost dislocating her shoulder, and causing her to lurch backwards.

"Ah!" She screamed in terror, watching helplessly as the others ran ahead.

"Where is Lin Feng?" a deep voice asked coldly.

Bai Jianning had tears in her eyes when she looked back at the towering man who appeared all of the sudden, and felt terrified again.

Dark skinned, tattoo on the neck, very tall...

This was the person her mother warned her about!
