AnimeMan: The 13th Princess’s Overpowered Servant
Chapter : 706
Ares had heard the loud sirens. He felt the massive earthquake. He stopped smashing computers in the other room. He followed the shaking to find the source.
Ares stopped walking. He looked at the giant Solurius Behemoth. He looked at the radioactive sludge dripping from its steel armor. He looked at the blindingly bright green core on its chest.
A normal person would run away in terror. A normal person would scream.
Ares did not look scared. He did not run away like the researchers in the hazmat suits.
His bloodthirsty green eyes lit up with pure, unfiltered joy. A massive, wild grin spread across his scarred face. He showed all his teeth. He clenched his large fists. He loved the sight of the giant monster. He thrived on chaotic battles.
"Finally!" Ares roared happily. His booming voice echoed over the loud sirens. "Something actually worth fighting! I am going to smash this ugly thing into tiny little pieces! I am going to rip that glowing rock right out of its chest!"
Ares cracked his neck. A loud popping sound echoed in the air. He prepared to charge directly at the giant beast. He did not care about the toxic radiation. He only cared about the thrill of the brawl.
Princess Iris ignored her arrogant older brother. She focused on her own team. She needed to keep them safe. She raised her glowing white shard of the Core of Luminus high into the air. The holy light pushed back against the toxic green glow of the monster.
She pointed her silver rapier directly at Gargantua. Her violet eyes burned with determination. She was a true leader.
"13th Unit, prepare for battle!" Princess Iris commanded smoothly. Her voice carried immense authority. "Keep your purification bubbles active at all times! Do not let the radioactive sludge touch you! We will take this monster down together!"
The elite girls snapped into action instantly.
Naomi spun her silver daggers rapidly. She took a strong combat stance. Laxmi lit both of her fists with bright orange fire. Zinia stomped her boots and gathered her earth magic. Sayma prepared her golden honeycomb barriers. Luna raised her hands, sparking with yellow lightning. Ira summoned high-pressure water whips. Risa stayed safely in the back, holding her crystal tight.
Ken Eliot watched his team get ready. He drooped his shoulders as far as they could possibly go. He let out a loud, dramatic yawn.
He walked backward slowly. He dragged his cheap shoes on the cracked floor tiles. Scuff. Scuff. Scuff. He walked until his back hit a solid metal wall. He slid down the wall. He sat comfortably on the floor.
He buried his hand into his canvas bag. He pulled out a fresh, unopened bag of sour cream and onion potato chips. He popped the bag open. The plastic crinkled loudly.

Ken popped a salty chip into his mouth. He chewed it lazily. He crossed his ankles.
The biggest, most dangerous boss fight of the entire day was about to start. The giant sludge titan roared. The 4th Prince grinned wildly. The 13th Unit stood ready with their magic.
The lazy slacker smiled a goofy smile. He was comfortable. He was ready to sit in the corner, eat his snacks, and do nothing while the heroes did all the hard work.
---
Ares Belmontia did not wait for a plan.
The 4th Prince stood in the ruined underground laboratory. The toxic yellow mist swirled around his boots. The red emergency lights flashed wildly. The loud sirens blared from the ceiling. He ignored all of it. He only looked at the giant monster in front of him.
Gargantua towered over everyone. The Solurius Behemoth was massive. Its body consisted of rusted steel girders and thick metal plating. Sickly green radioactive sludge dripped constantly from its armor. A giant, blindingly bright green core pulsed in the center of its chest. The core sounded like a slow, terrifying heartbeat. Thump. Thump. Thump.
Princess Iris gripped her silver rapier. She raised her glowing white shard of the Core of Luminus. The holy light pushed the toxic air away.
"Ares!" Princess Iris shouted loudly. Her violet eyes looked serious. "Do not attack it yet! We do not know its capabilities! We need to observe its movements!"
Ares did not care about observation. He did not care about teamwork. He only cared about the brawl. He smiled a massive, bloodthirsty smile. He showed all his teeth. He cracked his knuckles loudly. Pop. Pop. Pop.
"Observation is for weaklings, Iris!" Ares roared with joy. "I am going to smash this ugly pile of scrap metal! I will rip that glowing rock right out of its chest!"
Ares activated his unique magic. He used his Kinetic Accumulation ability.
A bright, violent red aura erupted around his muscular body. The red magic swirled fiercely. The air pressure dropped. The sheer force of his magic pushed the white dust away from his feet. He flexed his large arms. His scars stood out against his pale skin. He gathered an immense amount of kinetic energy into his right fist. His fist glowed like a red star.
Ken Eliot sat on the floor near a broken computer terminal. He wore his baggy navy blue sweatpants. His white dress shirt hung completely untucked over his belt. He sagged his shoulders as far as they could possibly go.
He held a bag of sour cream and onion potato chips. He reached into the bag. He pulled out a large, salty chip. He popped it into his mouth. He chewed it slowly. Crunch. Crunch.
Ken watched the 4th Prince power up. He used his flawless anime logic to analyze the situation.
"This is a terrible strategy," Ken thought casually to himself. He swallowed his food. "He is doing the classic Leroy Jenkins maneuver. He is rushing the boss without reading the mechanics. He did not check the strategy guide. He did not let the tank pull the aggro first. Berserker players always do this. They just run in a straight line and press the punch button. It never works on the final boss."
Ares pushed off the floor. The pristine white tiles shattered under his boots. The ground exploded.
Ares charged directly at Gargantua. He moved with blistering speed. He became a fast red blur. He crossed the massive laboratory in a single second. He leaped high into the air. He raised his glowing red fist. He aimed a devastating, fully powered punch straight at the monster's steel leg.
"Die!" Ares roared at the top of his lungs.
He swung his fist. He put his entire body weight into the strike. He unleashed all his stored kinetic energy at once.
The punch connected with Gargantua's steel armor.
BAM.
A massive shockwave erupted from the impact. The shockwave blew the toxic green mist away. The wind rushed across the room. The loud noise echoed like a bomb exploding. The 13th Unit had to brace themselves against the violent gust of air.
The white dust slowly cleared.
Ares hovered in the air for a split second. His fist remained pressed against the metal.
