Chapter 1124: Tier 9 Human and Tier 9 Beast

"So, when are we going to attack them next?" Melody asked.

"Hmm..." Clovis crossed his arms, contemplating. "I’m still thinking. Besides, Hana will get me enough money for another upgrade of my mall.

"I’m not exactly hoping for anything this time, considering I should be able to do just fine without it."

"Well, we do have Mara as our trump card. Besides, our equipment has changed." Melody nodded in agreement. "However, there is a problem. If you think about it, we can’t exactly wait for too long."

"Yeah." Clovis nodded. "My grandfather told me about it. The two strongest people in the world are usually neutral, but the Prophet might turn them into his puppets just like the Spear Saint.

"If they join, there is no telling what will happen. So, we have to make a move before they join. At the very least, we should get two out of the three remaining towers before that.

"However, if we move too fast, the Prophet might panic and hasten his progress without caring about the process. It might cause something that we don’t expect."

Melody sighed. "That’s understandable, so I guess we have to find a balance."

"Yeah." Clovis nodded with a serious expression. Mara’s trick is still working, but I guess it’s better to do two towers in a short period of time.

"We might have to do something to kill one of the Tier 9 humans on their side as well.

"This way, my grandfather and Mara will be able to handle the top two strongest... maybe buy us some time.

"In the meantime, I will face the Prophet, while you guys face the Spear Saint. Then, I’ll ask Sir Ezekiel to handle the Sword Saint. That’s the best-case scenario, but we don’t know the exact strength of the top two.

"There are some rumors that they’re much stronger than even my grandfather, which is why we might have to send some people to assist my grandfather and Mara.

"However, sending reinforcements without careful consideration will just cause a lot of issues. They will probably become a burden at some point."

Melody frowned. "So, we have no choice but to send our own Tier 9 humans to assist them?"

"Yeah. But that means the Sword Saint will be open, and we can only aid one person. Well, I guess I might have to cheat my way again for the second person, but it doesn’t change the fact that the Sword Saint will be free this time."

"Should we split our team further?" Melody asked. "I mean, several of us should be enough to fight Carrick, right?"

"I don’t think so. At least, not yet." Clovis shook his head helplessly. "The reason is simple. The Spear Saint’s strength is the same as Mara’s. We won against Mara because we restrained her most powerful weapon—range.

"On the other hand, we won’t be able to do the same on the Spear Saint. If we split our team further, we won’t be able to stop him."

Melody frowned. "But we don’t have a choice. How about Christina? She should be able to handle it. She might not reach Tier 9 yet, but with Christina at the helm, there should be a chance.

"For example, Christina, Jay, Aileen, Erwin, and Angelia will handle the Spear Saint. The rest will stop the Sword Saint. Fortunately, the Sword Saint is significantly weaker than the rest of our opponents, but it’s doable.

"Of course, we have to assume that we will be able to kill the Moon Bow, who is most likely going to appear on the Tower of Wilderness. Those five are our strongest besides you.

Clovis looked down, contemplating.

Melody nodded. "I’m sure they can understand your circumstances. You’ve helped them a lot. Reolf would probably reach Tier 4 in his lifetime, but he wouldn’t be more than that without becoming your pet.

"Rea and Freud are the same. So, I believe they can understand."

"Hopefully." Clovis nodded. "It’s really hard to choose, especially since they have different roles. And we don’t know whether we can kill the Moon Bow or not. It would have been easier if we had crossed that point, but if we start focusing only after that point, it might be too late."

"Yeah, so we have to make a decision now."

Clovis looked up, falling into deep thought. Melody managed to convince him and the rest of the members, so he had to convince his beasts.

After thinking for a few minutes, Clovis found his answer.

"I will persuade them now."
