Chapter 1135: Killing the Moon Bow

The Moon Bow was confused. Christina was actually strong enough to withstand his attack. Still, it should be quite a severe injury for her.

However, Jay casually tossed a small box. He managed to take a peek into the box and realized it contained a few pills.

Christina swallowed one of the pills. It didn’t seem weird at first, but the Moon Bow couldn’t imagine that her wound was actually closing quickly.

’How many strange things do they actually have?’ The Moon Bow knew there was no medicine that could heal someone that fast.

Realizing that he wouldn’t even be able to do anything to Christina, he couldn’t help but wonder, ’Where the heck are those beasts? Aren’t they supposed to be here now?’

The Moon Bow had seen some beasts gathering around. However, Jay and Mara skillfully cut them down.

In fact, these beasts were the reason Jay and Mara couldn’t attack continuously and end the fight faster.

Still, the number of beasts surrounding them was much lower than the Moon Bow expected, especially with Mara cutting a large portion of the jungle down.

They were supposed to be here, yet for some reason, the Tier 9 beast was completely focused on Clovis.

He was expecting the Tier 9 beast to send some beasts to check. After all, it should be smart enough to worry about getting flanked by Clovis.

His answer came not long after.

Boom!

A massive explosion occurred. The explosion was so loud and big that the Moon Bow’s body shook violently.

He couldn’t help but raise his head.

That was Clovis’s trump card in order to keep the beasts on him. After all, the Tier 9 beast would definitely not leave him alone after showing such power.

The beast let out a loud cry, causing all the beasts to rush to the hill, including the beasts that were supposed to stop Mara and Jay.

"!!!" The Moon Bow widened his eyes in shock. He thought that these beasts would be helping him, but for some reason, the situation had just become worse for him.

Mara stepped firmly on the ground, while Jay leaped into the air. The Moon Bow realized from Mara’s stance that she was going to unleash another horizontal slash. Jay’s action had proven it.

So, the Moon Bow jumped the moment she started swinging.

To his surprise, Mara actually changed her swing trajectory from horizontal to vertical. She skillfully flicked her glaive to propel it up so that she could swing it down.

The Moon Bow was trying to stop her, but to no avail.

Hence, the Moon Bow raised his bow to block this ranged attack, only to be smashed to the ground. Jay landed not long after and closed the distance between them.

The Moon Bow wasn’t in a position to stop Jay’s attack, so he tried to roll away, but Jay moved one step faster.

He actually cut the Moon Bow’s left arm. With this, the Moon Bow wouldn’t be able to wield his bow anymore.

The Moon Bow managed to roll away and stood up, but he was screaming in pain as he barely held his bow with his other hand.

Christina activated her Provoke from a distance as she gradually came closer. Still, Mara moved one second faster than her and reached the Moon Bow first.

At the same time, Jay was also turning around to deliver another blow.

The three of them were ready to deliver a finishing blow on the Moon Bow. The Moon Bow didn’t know what he was supposed to do anymore. He couldn’t wield his bow in this condition.

He realized there was actually one thing he could do.

The Moon Bow tossed the bow slightly into the air.

"!!!" Mara and Jay raised their eyebrows, thinking the Moon Bow still had some tricks up his sleeve.

To their surprise, the Moon Bow actually took out his phone.

"A phone?" Christina frowned, not understanding the idea behind the phone.

Only Melody recognized the situation. "Not good! Kill him!"

Jay and Mara sped up, trusting Melody’s judgment.

The Moon Bow pressed the button three times before tossing the phone to the ground. He picked up the bow one more time and turned around.

"Provoke!" Christina locked his movement.

Jay used everything he had, including all his beast souls—internal or external. Then, he struck the bow with a strength that shocked the Moon Bow, knocking his bow to the ground. This way, the Moon Bow had nothing else to protect himself from Mara.

Unfortunately for them, they were one step too late.

"Hello?"

Someone picked up the call.

"Mara Leverstrike joins the Libation Fiesta!" The Moon Bow shouted while turning around, only to find Mara slashing his shoulder all the way to his waist, slicing him in two.

Ranked 7th in the Tier 9 Human list, Samuel Levinester, or more known as the Moon Bow, fell in battle.

Yet, none of the members of the Libation Fiesta could be happy about it. After all, at the last moment of his life, he actually managed to give them crucial intel.

In other words, they had just lost the initiative to get the sixth tower.

Jay looked at the screen and realized the information had actually been given directly to the Prophet. The Prophet had hung up after getting that piece of information since the Moon Bow had let out a groan that indicated him dying. There was also a falling object noise that indicated his flesh touching the ground.

"..." Jay clicked his tongue. "Melody, tell him that we’ve killed the Moon Bow and will be flanking the Tier 9 lizard. However, the Prophet is now aware of Mara’s existence. We’ve lost our initiative."

"Understood." Melody knew what to do. They expected to give them a surprise later, such as showing Mara in front of the Sword Saint and the Spear Saint. This would confirm her existence, but it wouldn’t give them time to react. The Spear Saint should know that the Moon Bow had died, so the best course of action was to retreat, thus giving Clovis a free chance to enter the sixth tower.

But with the Moon Bow’s last struggle, he wouldn’t get that advantage.
