After hearing it, Clovis felt relieved, knowing that the situation had tilted in their favor.

"!!!" Clovis widened his eyes in shock. This was something he didn’t expect. He wanted to keep Mara hidden until he needed to reveal her.

But with Mara’s existence being revealed, the situation would become serious.

Clovis gritted his teeth because he also saw the lizard coming toward him.

Clovis clicked his tongue and raised both swords, trying to block it. Because he was too distracted by the news, the lizard slammed him to the ground.

The ground shattered and continued to shake. Clovis’ instinct kicked in, telling him to get away because danger was imminent. There was one danger that could trigger his instinct, considering he had recognized the lizard as the other danger. It was a landslide.

If he continued to be like this, the landslide would fall on top of him and bury him. The lizard could do a lot of things as soon as he was buried.

Clovis thought about using the mall to disappear before reappearing after the enemy was away.

Fortunately, it looked like the reinforcements had arrived.

A tiger’s roar echoed from the opposite direction as Mara cleaved all the trees and beasts in her path.

"!!!" The lizard glanced back and leaped away after finding Mara coming with Jay and Christina.

Of course, the lizard didn’t retreat without smashing the ground one more time. This way, the ground would crumble.

Clovis hurriedly got up and leaped away as a landslide occurred, almost burying him. Fortunately, the situation was being handled pretty well. Everyone was far away from it, so he was the only one who had to move.

Still, Mara chose to make one more surprising move. Instead of going to the lizard, she actually climbed to the top of the hill.

"Mara?" Clovis was confused, not understanding her intention. He thought about ordering her to help with the Tier 9 lizard.

However, Mara simply said, "You should take care of it. I will take care of the beasts."

"..." Clovis frowned. He had his full with the fact that the Prophet knew about Mara joining the group, so he didn’t argue further.

Instead, he adjusted his plan. "Angelia, Erwin, Aileen. Come here. Freud and Reolf will support us and ensure these beasts won’t disturb us."

"Got it!" The three agreed at the same time. Angelia had been waiting for this. Even though she couldn’t fight the Moon Bow, she could still fight against the Tier 9 lizard. Erwin and Aileen, on the other hand, didn’t care much about their tasks. Since it was Clovis’ order, they immediately headed to their position.

Melody immediately rearranged their positions. She and Rea would maintain their air superiority. Luci, Ragna, Kanaria, and Rin would support the team depending on where they were needed.

Clovis rushed toward the lizard while Christina activated her Provoke from a distance, making sure that the lizard wasn’t going anywhere.

On the other hand, Mara raised her hand and started blasting all the beasts with her most powerful swings, killing a few hundred beasts at a time. With Mara dominating the battlefield, they no longer needed the fortification.

Hence, Aileen and Erwin rushed to the other side of the hill.

"Reeee!" the lizard screamed and smacked Clovis down, but as soon as it raised its claws, Angelia’s arrow hit the lizard.

The impact of the arrow didn’t manage to pierce through the lizard’s scale, but it actually cracked the scale.

"So close... Just a bit more." Angelia narrowed her eyes. She knew that it was still far from what she wanted, but she knew her attack was effective.

"Focus on the soft parts. We need to take down this lizard quickly," ordered Clovis.

"OK, OK." Angelia chuckled. That was true. If she had focused on the soft part, she would have pierced through the lizard’s body. That was how strong her arrow was.

Clovis then struck the lizard, slashing its left arm. Unfortunately, he couldn’t cut it completely.

The lizard realized that it wouldn’t be able to fight Clovis in a normal way. Hence, it rushed toward Clovis with everything it had, trying to smash him.

At the same time, its eyes had turned bloodshot as though the lizard was gradually going berserk.

Clovis swung his blade one more time with everything he had, but the lizard pushed him back this time, showing that the lizard’s strength had increased.

Clovis observed the lizard carefully, but before he could close the distance again, Christina and Jay had arrived.

Jay immediately struck its claws while Christina rammed her shield into its face. The lizard tried to use its tongue, but Christina managed to withstand it.

Now that they had arrived, Clovis couldn’t help but take a few seconds to consider their current situation.

The Prophet had learned of Mara’s existence. He could use it as a justification to bring the two strongest people in the world.

That was why he needed to somehow put them back in a favorable situation or prolong the time they had.

He would think about it intensively later, but he had figured out how to react regarding this situation.

Clovis said, "Melody, I need you to do something for me. Can you call my Grandpa and tell him to bring Grandpa Ezekiel to move toward the sixth tower? It doesn’t need to be a direct move. As long as they think they’re moving and this is a trap, that will be enough."

Melody looked surprised, but she understood the meaning of this move.

If they didn’t bluff like this, the Sword Saint and the Spear Saint would have reinforcements, and everything would become unpredictable.

If they bluffed, they wouldn’t have the time to bring enough reinforcements. In other words, Clovis wanted to ensure that the sixth tower would be empty.
