Ant Lord in the Star Realm
Chapter 1207 - 753: Trusting Chairman White Ivy's Business Talent (Part 2)
"No problem—"
Blackberry agreed, and reminded, "You guys help keep catching them."
After speaking,
the eight eyes of the Star Spider flashed, space rippled.
A Star Spider starship in the shape of a roughly 13-meter Dulai Flame Spider appeared out of thin air.
Dragon Cypress, Snakebark Maple, Ivy, and Tie Bush all activated their Metal Ability in turn, taking over control and bringing it down smoothly to the ground.
One after another, three Star Spiders landed.
The lowest level, the simplest First Level Star Spiders.
Next they were going to open up the second and third planets, so they bought them to make it convenient for everyone to travel within the Star System.
The price for these things wasn't low. Since none of them had Spatial Talent, they needed Primordial Energy conversion cores to assist, turning ordinary Origin Force into spatial Origin Force. The price was as high as 100 million per ship, and that was still the discounted price they got by buying from Seven-Leaf.
…
Once the simple tasks were done,
Dragon Cypress continued, "Captain Blackberry, we're planning to transfer a set of 'Multi-Function Life Ecological Coordination Base Station' to Cold Orchid Star. Can you help take it there on the way?"
"Of course—"
Blackberry said, "100,000 Primordial Crystals!"
Dragon Cypress's gaze sharpened. "If you do things like this, it'll be hard for us to come to you next time when we have work."
"Great Leader Dragon Cypress, you're an Insect who does big things. You really don't need to be so stingy over this little bit of Primordial Crystals, right?"
"I do big things, but I don't play the sucker."
"I know the Life Ecological Coordination Base Station well; it's heavy. Five segments per set? Using Spatial Ability to load and unload, I'll have to burn Primordial Crystals to assist. That's pretty much 50,000 Primordial Crystals gone already..."
"Forget it. Then 100,000 for the transport fee."
Dragon Cypress paused, then asked, "Chairman Blackberry, what about building two Star Network channels connecting the planet's north and south poles? Think it through before you name your price. If it's not reasonable, then this cooperation of ours won't have a next time."
Blackberry was a lone Insect drifting around, piloting Star Spiders specifically to haul cargo and Insect Clan Warriors for Chambers of Commerce that operated Zero Level Origin Points, along with other related work.
He was naturally very familiar with building ultra-short-distance Star Network channels.
Seeing that Dragon Cypress wasn't the spendthrift type, he pondered, then said, "The Origin Force Concentration here is too low. Recovering from use is a hassle. If you're not in a rush, I can finish in three months and charge you 300,000 Primordial Crystals. But if you're in a hurry, I'll have to use Primordial Crystals to refill consumption and recover quickly. Then the price has to go up."
"Then 300,000 Primordial Crystals it is. We're not in any rush. Even if you take three years to build them, it's fine."
Dragon Cypress waved his tentacles and said, "Wait a bit, I'll go bring the Life Base over first."
…
The Life Base Station was designed like a centipede, multi-legged, able to move on its own.
Dragon Cypress controlled it to crawl to the plaza, then dismantled it into five segments and stored them in the Third Level built-in space.
Ink Orchid and the other Insects, having received the news, arrived one after another.
After some greetings and discussion, Ink Orchid, Areca, and Ivy took the First Level Star Spiders for test flights, while the other Insects boarded Blackberry's Third Level Star Spider and set off for Cold Orchid Star.
Navigation within the Star System:
charge up, gather power, lock onto the destination, and arrive in an instant.
The hatch opened,
outside were raging winds, mildly toxic gases, dense and fine dust, and rock formations in black patches, red patches, and yellow patches.
The six Life Planets of the Azure Star System were formally named Stone Orchid Star, Cold Orchid Star, Cicada Orchid Star, Tiger Orchid Star, Xuelan Star, and Banlan Star.
Cold Orchid Star was the most troublesome among them; the vast majority of its surface was rock layers.
Under normal circumstances, professional Insect Clan Warriors, when gathering materials and constructing a planet, would leave easily sandified loose rock or Interstellar Dust for last, covering the planetary surface with it.
Nobody knew what had happened on Cold Orchid Star—over 90% of its surface area was hard rock layers.
For a planet like this, the difficulty of transformation more than doubled; they could only rely on Insect Clan Warriors using their Ability to perform "sandification."
Abilities of this kind weren't rare; most Insects from Xiangshanlan and Huagi Mountain, as well as those from Huagi Mountain who had awakened Earth Talent, basically had them.
There were also some Shield Grasshopper Warriors who specialized in such Abilities.
The Abilities were there, but the time and effort consumed for transformation couldn't be ignored.
Over on Stone Orchid Star, with the combined effort of the Huagi Mountain Insects and Xianglan Mountain Insects, they could finish transforming one district in two years.
On Cold Orchid Star, it would probably take four to five years.
…
With the Star Network running straight through, the point where the Star Spider landed was the North 1001 District of Cold Orchid Star.
The Insects worked together, activating their Earth-Stone Ability to level the ground. After reinforcing it, they turned it into a plaza.
Blackberry controlled the Star Spider to unload the cargo.
The other Insects split into three groups of workers, first laying out the 220 Ecological Base Stations.
Three kilometers away, Dragon Cypress found a suitable hill and named it "Rainbow Parasol Mountain," to serve as the main nest commanding the development of Cold Orchid Star.
He dug four large reservoirs, each with a side length of one kilometer, to the east, south, west, and north.
From the mountain he roughly opened up several ravines.
Dragon Cypress and Ink Orchid together activated their Abilities for Primordial Energy Water-Making; icy cold springs flowed, cold mist shrouded the area.
Two days later,
the environment of the 1001 District on Cold Orchid Star had stabilized.
Rainbow Parasol Mountain cooled down, and the reservoirs were filled to the brim.
Then, at the foot of the mountain, they dug a row of neat square caves. After reinforcing them, Round Cypress stepped forward to unload the Primordial Crystals.
Inside the temporarily opened King Nest, Dragon Cypress flipped through the accounts accumulated over six hundred years.
The income from the Xianglan Mountain Territory was almost fixed, about 1.33 million Primordial Crystals a year.
The Bee King Honey and Gene Potion trade cooperated with the White Ivy Chamber of Commerce was settled once every six years and grew with each settlement.
The average annual transaction amount had risen steadily from a bit over 50 million, and after more than six hundred years of development, it had broken through 100 million.
The profit-sharing from the Lan Chamber of Commerce side had grown from an average of just over 1.4 million per year to 2.61 million.
Judging from the trend, there was still considerable potential for further growth.
By this time, Round Cypress had eaten his fill and rested well. He followed at Dragon Cypress's side and reported some situations in the Sheep Hoof Armor Star System and the Fragrant Herb Star System.
"Ant King Dragon Cypress, I've taken a look around too. The progress on Stone Orchid Star isn't fast enough, and the pioneering difficulty on Cold Orchid Star is too great. Do we need to purchase another batch of Ecological Base Stations?"
