Just as Perry Yates was thinking for the umpteenth time, ’Doesn’t this guy ever get tired of talking?’, Amber Sheridan finally pulled out his black card.

’Although I’m curious how Amber Sheridan got that black card, I can guess it wasn’t through any proper channels.’

After paying with the card, Amber Sheridan hopped directly into the driver’s seat and drove Perry Yates away from the dealership, attracting a great deal of attention and discussion along the way.

"Oh my god, am I seeing things? Isn’t that the RV that was on display in the main hall? That’s my dream car! I can’t believe someone actually bought it."

"Seeing this thing up close is even more stunning than seeing it from a dozen meters away. Look at those wheels, they’re taller than I am! It’s like a giant."

"I think that RV costs over ten million, right?"

"Damn it! What would be so wrong with having one more rich person in the world—me!"

Among the crowd, some sighed with emotion, while others’ eyes lit up with excitement upon seeing the RV, which looked like a beast of steel.

’What was that saying again? When your neighbor stocks up on food, you stock up on guns. Your neighbor’s home is your granary.’

’As long as you’re strong enough, you can get whatever you want, even without money.’

"Boss, you don’t think those two are players, do you?"

In the crowd, two inconspicuous-looking men stared at the departing RV. One of them, a skinny young man, spoke in a low voice.

"Impossible. That RV costs over ten million. There’s no way a player could afford that."

Hearing this confident assertion, the skinny youth wasn’t convinced. "A normal player couldn’t," he said, "but what if they’re a Dealer Player?

I heard from some of the veterans that only four Dealer Players appear on each planet. They’re not just powerful, they also control a huge number of cards."

"Have you forgotten? When we first entered the game, the system said that Dealer Players are forbidden from using item cards during this round. The only thing they can use right now is their Skills."

"But..." The skinny youth tried to say more, but his boss cut him off.

"No ’buts.’ It’s already the fourth day of the game. We’re running out of time. With that RV, we’ll definitely be able to clear the game. For now, go investigate those two. They’re just a couple of NPCs. If worst comes to worst, we’ll just—"

He didn’t finish his sentence, instead drawing a hand across his neck. The skinny man understood instantly, but he was still extremely worried.

’Those are Dealer Players, one of only four on the entire planet! Even if they can’t use items, their abilities are probably on a completely different level from ordinary players like us.’

’But clearly, his boss wasn’t going to listen to any of that now. Looks like he’d just have to play it by ear.’

’He had once personally witnessed a Dealer Player in another game who, despite being surrounded by dozens of people, not only held his ground but ended up killing every single one of his attackers.’

’He could never forget the scene—the look in that Dealer Player’s eyes, the clean, efficient way he killed. It was as if he wasn’t killing people, but a swarm of insignificant insects.’

Meanwhile, after leaving the dealership, Perry Yates and Amber Sheridan first went to a gas station to fill up the fuel tank, then filled up the water tank.

By the time they had done all this, the day was already over.

They parked the RV in the hotel’s parking lot. Just as the two were about to head back to their room, Perry Yates suddenly sensed that something was wrong.

"What’s wrong?" Amber Sheridan asked, walking over when he saw Perry Yates suddenly freeze in place.

Perry Yates didn’t answer Amber Sheridan. She stood her ground, her brow furrowing deeper and deeper. A moment later, she suddenly looked up at Amber Sheridan and said, "Let’s go. We need to leave this place immediately."

Although he didn’t know why, Amber Sheridan chose to trust Perry Yates and drove them out of the parking lot.

Not long after they drove out of the hotel’s vicinity, a loud crash erupted from behind them. Through the rearview mirror, they saw a thick tree root burst through the solid asphalt and begin to grow rapidly.

The surrounding cars were mercilessly crushed by the sudden appearance of the root, turning into piles of scrap metal in the blink of an eye.

If they hadn’t left just now, the RV they had just acquired today would have likely met the same fate.

Amber Sheridan gasped as he watched the scene unfold. Then he said, relieved, "Thank god you were here. When you were quiet just now, were you communicating with the plants?"

"Not exactly. I just heard the banyan trees around us saying it was too crowded underground. They said they couldn’t stretch their ’feet’ and wanted to come out for some air."

"Come out... for some air?"

"Mhm." Perry Yates nodded. "If my senses aren’t mistaken, the entire area beneath the hotel is packed with a dense network of tree roots."

As if to confirm Perry Yates’s words, after the first root emerged, countless more scrambled to burst forth from the ground. The hotel, once solid as a rock, began to sway precariously due to the roots, looking like a condemned building at risk of collapsing at any moment.

"So where are we going now?" Amber Sheridan asked as he drove.

Perry Yates, sitting in the passenger seat, was silent for a moment before saying, "From what I can sense now, the plants all over the city have become extremely active. It’s like they’ve had enough of this suffocating life and can’t wait to come out for air."

Amber Sheridan fell silent upon hearing Perry Yates’s words.

’After all, the city they were in had over sixty percent vegetation coverage. You could say it was a city built inside a forest.’

’If all the plants in the city were really going wild like Perry Yates said, he couldn’t imagine how long the city would last. A day? Two days? Or three?’

"Let’s find a place with fewer plants for now," Perry said. "I’ll see if I can temporarily calm them down."

Hearing this, Amber Sheridan gave Perry Yates an "I’m counting on you" look, then opened the GPS and drove to a basketball court. The court surface was rubber, so there was almost no vegetation.

However, while there were no plants on the surface, there was no telling what lay underground.

After parking the vehicle, Perry Yates closed her eyes and began to communicate with the surrounding plants.

Although there were no plants on the basketball court itself, the ground beneath was a dense mass of root systems. They were desperate to come out for "a breath of air" and bask in the sunlight.

Perry Yates tried to use her energy to soothe the plants’ emotions. However, it had little effect. It was as if the plants couldn’t understand her, and they ignored her completely.

’Damn it. If they won’t do this the easy way, we’ll do it the hard way.’

’Since they won’t listen to reason, I’ll just have to suppress them with force!’
