Chapter 1336: Chapter 1023: Fine Wine for Visiting Friends

After bidding farewell to the dullness of the past, the Thunder Plains welcomed turmoil with a roar.

Within Iron Flame City, covered by the Threshold of a Thousand Eyes, the Mechanized Mountain of Decay roared skyward, spewing pitch-black oils from its mouth and nose. As they fell and burned in mid-air, they ignited clusters of emerald flames.

Where the flames spread, the towering Minotaur Warriors on the city walls screamed in agony, struggling to move their limbs, and toppled from the battlements.

Burning into a handful of ashes scattered by the wind in mid-air.

Disappearing without a trace.

The volcano’s wrath erupted, and amongst the throngs, a crowned individual from the Stone Molten Dragons rose in fury, stretching out from the volcano with overwhelming fiery red, sweeping back and forth in the invading legion, spreading death.

A worm, covered in rotting ulcers, wrapped itself around the shell of the Mountain of Decay, spewing venom and plague from its maw.

These activated pathogens could even corrode and parasitize steel, rapidly causing massive pustules to grow on the metallicized shell.

The Mountain of Decay howled in pain.

The furnace overloaded.

It spat out a long flame like a dragon, sweeping across the Demon Dragon, but to no avail. In pain sufficient to crush souls, the terrible body of the Mountain of Decay suddenly twisted, gripping the plague-spreading Demon Dragon on its back with several hands and tearing fiercely, pulling off large swaths of iron shell.

It grabbed the massive Demon Dragon in its hand, twisting angrily as if wringing a rag, squeezing out huge volumes of filthy blood, yet the crowned one instantly shattered into two pieces, then divided into four, four into eight, finally burrowing into the Mountain of Decay’s body like countless maggots.

The steel monster-like a mountain roared, endlessly raising its core temperature, even if its shell and framework would melt, causing the worms to scramble out, retransforming into a shrunk version of the giant worm.

The rolling, trampling, slapping of gigantic palms.

The massive Iron Flame City instantly collapsed by a third, yet more hordes continued to emerge from every corner, along with more worms known as Demon Dragons!

In the instant that the Mountain of Decay slightly relaxed, dozens of Stone Molten Dragons emerged from the crevices in the crust, entwining his body with dozens of huge arms, legs, and even distorted torso.

Beyond the exploded volcano, endless lava surged forth like an ocean, splashing upon its massive body.

Dragged onto the ground by the entangling of several dozen Stone Molten Dragons, the Mountain of Decay struggled mightily like a prisoner being dragged by limbs and neck tied with ropes and galloping horses, stirring layers of lava ripples.

Beside the spreading lava, more invading hordes rushed into the city fearlessly, clashing fiercely against the iron wall of the Minotaur Warriors.

From a bird’s-eye view in the sky, the converging frontlines seemed like a vaguely bizarre gaping maw, endlessly writhing, chewing metal teeth on flesh and bone, oozing blood and carcasses.

The sky above was even more perilous.

Under the lead of Zim, the remaining crowned ones relentlessly assaulted the Helios in the sky. Clad in sinister armor, Zim’s body swelled endlessly, spewing malicious blazing light filled with Poxun’s blessing and maniacal curse from his massive mouth.

The air had already turned into a terrifying chill beyond liquid ammonia beneath the Thorn Dragon Frost Priest’s wings, where countless rising blood vapor coagulated into bizarre scarlet frost in the air, drawing wisps of cold mist back to the ground. There, countless sharp ice spikes swiftly pierced out like giant frost trees, freezing all living things within a hundred meters into ice sculptures.

In the background, two mummies, wrapped in tattered bandages, coldly observed, thick corpse water continually seeping from their bandages, vanishing into thin air as if falling into another world.

At this moment, the eternal clouds hanging in the sky dome of the Thunder Plains turned entirely pitch-black, with no signs of thunder. Only amidst this darkness, the ghastly roars of countless skeletons and ghosts echoed.

Under the gaze of the mummies, malformed hands reached continuously from the clouds, grasping at the Helios, rapidly disintegrating any mystic ritual, however mysterious and complex, under the pull of these dark hands.

Four against one, it should have been a sure victory.

But it felt as if Helios were singlehandedly thrashing them!

Whether the catastrophic blood deluges descending upon the Nile in the past or the miraculous engravings invoking thunder to obliterate all sinners, or his fragments and various witch-like mystic rituals...

Now, in Helios’ hands, they were all like tamed pets, summoned and dismissed at will.

Once Helios’ chief, after transforming himself into a pseudo-spirit, not only did he not weaken, but due to the metamorphosis brought by this solidification, he adhered closer to the essence of the Abyss.

In some sense, he was a consolidation of all Alchemists investing in the Abyss from Helios.

He himself was a product of Alchemy, a living mystic ritual, a living miracle imprint!

Though he didn’t possess the terrifying power to turn the impossible into the possible like a Great Grandmaster, with adequate preparation, he feared no challenge from anyone.

Who knew what enormous material supply he had obtained under the Withered King’s banner during his time in Hell?

At this moment, in merely an instant, in the reflection of the mirror, Helios fiercely reached out, pressing onto a mummy’s face.

Instantly, the mummy convulsed violently, collapsing inward without delay.

Amidst shrill screams, it was covered by the amber fluid, finally solidifying into a crystal the size of a fist, radiating faint, dark energy.

In a turnaround, the Treasure Bead formed by this crowned one was inserted into the miracle imprint by him, turning into a sacrifice offered to the fallen gods. The spontaneously arising tsunami flowed through the air, enveloping the Frost Priest in the ice, returning to the eternal abyssal sea.

In the brief silence, Helios wiped the blood off his face, rasping a sinister laugh:

"——You bunch of trash, think you can stand against me!"

No sooner had he spoken, beyond the distant shattered palace, a streak of black edge emerged out of thin air.

Mere seconds ago, within the palace, beneath the blood sacrifice of countless slaves, a bone-structured giant arrow was already soaked in scarlet, akin to a treasure sculpted from crystal.

Just the moment of its unsealing brought countless phantoms and the high-pitched wails from different skeletal hells into the hall.

The agony of death and life deformed, the momentary pleasures and eternal pain.

Under Poxun’s blessing, that arrow had crystallized into despair, remotely aiming at Helios in the sky. Capturing his pause for an instant, it silently flew from the crossbow vehicle.

Without any omens, it traversed the vast distance, weaving countless eerie lights into pure black, tearing through heavy defenses, pouring into Helios’s shell.

The chest cavity of the Clown was violently gouged, and then, the endless desires from the Demonic Wisdom surged from the Pseudo Spirits, pushing him to the brink of collapse.

Yet amidst his screams, what followed was Zim’s tragic wails.

The arrow, having pierced through He Di, went straight into Zim’s massive body.

The overly pure and overly violent desires instantly shattered the intellect of Sinister’s Armor, swiftly softening the armor that had weathered countless wars, turning it into pitch-black sludge.

And Zim fared no better.

In the spreading pink radiance, countless alluring figures emerged, seductively entwined around Zim, lightly parting their red lips to kiss his enormous body, then fiercely siphoning his vitality!

"What’s going on! Damn it, why was it fired?"

Beneath the palace, the commander of the firing trembled, feeling the master’s anger, turned back and roared in fury: "Who told you to open fire! Who!"

As he turned around, a chill of dread froze him in place.

Right behind him, those faces slowly became dazed, with sticky saliva dripping from slanted mouths.

Soon appeared a fanatical yet blissful smile, muttering indistinctly: "Holy is, holy is, praise the eternal ruler, praise the end of all things, praise Bahamut..."

In their pious chants, one after another crimson eye emerged from the outline of the Flying Bird, gazing greedily at him.

Darkness like a tide engulfed him.

Soon, the commander too joined this frenzied lineup.

Faith.

A plague named Faith spread in Hell at this moment!

.

The Frost Celebrant screeched.

When He Di suddenly encountered severe damage, other Crowned ones began to launch relentless attacks, regardless of cost or consequence.

If he succeeded at this moment, the outcome awaiting them would surely be engraved with the Withered King’s imprint, becoming one of his slaves in his eternal war!

But soon, He Di broke free from the split of the Source Substance.

Like cutting away the rotten flesh from a wound, he unhesitatingly severed most of his own frenzied self, refining it into a piece of pink Crystal Stone, sealing Poxun’s curse within.

Despite severe damage, his combat effectiveness showed no sign of diminishing.

On that excessively pale face, ferocity already abounded.

With a little thought, he understood the true nature of this bizarre strike, looking at Huai Shi with chilling eyes: "Is this your plan?

Stirring up strife, sitting back to reap the gains? Do you think this can kill me?"

Even in the most intense battle, he maintained the cage’s solidity without a moment’s relaxation, for any breach would allow the Shadow Burial Shuttle’s flash to pass through.

Huai Shi’s vitality he had long learned — of such nature, even leaving one cell could regrow into a menace!

The ruler’s curse wouldn’t affect him, and poison and plague more likely nourish him.

More like Hell Creatures than any Hell creature, even surpassing Current Circumstances’ Sublimators, more like a demon hell could bear.

Even encountering Underworld Prison’s captivity and suppression, enduring the Blade of Sin and Punishment’s continuous tearing, he remained able to speak and breathe, just short of singing a song.

"Don’t think you can just escape unscathed, Huai Shi!"

He Di squeezed out words through his teeth, eyes venomous: "I’ve saved a prime spot for you in the Withered King’s dungeon, I assure you, once this matter ends, our time together will be quite long!"

Within the cage, Huai Shi merely lowered his gaze, smilingly overlooking everything, as if watching children play in kindergarten, serene and calm.

Without a trace of emotion.

"He Di, what are you afraid of?"

The prisoner curiously asked, "Aren’t I your prisoner? You can do as you please with me, control my life and death, what are you wary of?

You should be kinder to an old friend."

"Friend?"

Laughs rose from He Di’s throat, yet devoid of any joy, cold as an owl’s screech.

"Indeed, friend."

Huai Shi nodded, like a moonlit encounter, lightly lamenting, "A reunion of old friends, a drink is fitting."

In that instant, a chill abruptly surged from He Di’s heart.

Within the cage, Huai Shi still smiled, yet that gentle facade was finally torn away, revealing depths akin to the Abyss itself, infinite darkness and malice grotesque.

At this moment, the smiling man curiously asked:

"——Oh, do you like drinking?"

Accompanied by his words, the city filled with chaos and oddity briefly met with silence.
