Chapter 1352: Chapter 1032: Heaven and Earth Treasures (3)

Gray Edge didn’t even lift his head as he pointed in a direction—the nearest settlement, its city walls towering high, defenses tight.

"Your place looks pretty big, huh? When we’re tired of playing we can just crash there."

Huai Shi nodded, patted his head. "Alright, we’ll go there... Also, you guys clean up a bit. See what around here is still usable, don’t waste it."

Very soon, under Huai Shi’s orders, everyone in Dragon Scales Village began to move.

They started turning over every single thing in Great Tooth Village, useful or not, and along the way rounded up a big bunch of Rat-men hiding in the ruins and tied them up.

Not long after, amid the chugging, smoking noise of the Steel War Chariots, the Sun Boat, covered in thick felt, was slowly dragged away and, under many scorching, greedy gazes, disappeared behind the gate of the Dragon Scale Tribe.

Ten minutes later, there was no Dragon Scale Tribe anymore.

Only the signboard of the Bahamut Sect - Talin branch slowly rose up.

.

.

"Far as I’m concerned, this shit is downright freaky."

In the huge workshop they’d just improvised, Raymond lay on a hospital bed, crunching Source Crystals to rapidly recover his HP.

But looking at this countless horde of fanatical Dog-headed Men in front of him, he just felt something was off.

He’d long known that Huai Shi, that bastard, was seriously freaky.

But he hadn’t expected that after coming to Hell, this guy would get even freakier.

If you say the Heavenly Kingdom Genealogy gets a BUFF in the Abyss, fine, but this isn’t just a BUFF anymore—this is straight-up jumping one whole patch ahead, right?

"You swipe the card, you get stronger. Isn’t that perfectly normal?"

Huai Shi sat calmly on his throne, enjoying the Dog-headed Men’s worship, even holding a conductor’s baton to lead that bunch of Dog-headed Men in devout hymns.

Same tune he’d heard tens of thousands of times already, so conducting it was practically plug-and-play.

The Iron crows had already flown off in all directions, still scouting intel on this stretch of Hell.

It was just that none of them had expected to be swept straight to depth 37 by a storm, skipping more than half the distance from the depth-45 outpost.

Only the outpost’s location was a bit remote, so they still needed the Captain to compare the Lighthouse’s signals and position, and calculate a fresh route.

Also, the Sun Boat’s damage would take time to correct.

They couldn’t just rely on Raymond’s Beast Spirit; at the same time, Professor Anton and Gregory needed to thoroughly check whether his advancement had left any hidden risks.

The whole process would probably take a few days, so they could only temporarily settle down in this part of Hell.

Otherwise, Huai Shi wouldn’t have bothered to infuse Source Substance into this whole pack of Dog-headed Men, infecting them one by one into his own Believers.

What can you say—Heavenly Kingdom Genealogy just has great affinity with the Abyss.

Coming to Hell is basically like going back home.

The Heavenly Inquiry Route is inherently good at remodeling Hell’s environment, and Huai Shi also holds the offices of Great Priestess and King Xiang. Before the latter advances, its interference in Hell is limited, but the Great Priestess’s branch includes full control over his own large group...

Especially when paired with all the vicious poisons and terrifying Curses contained in Huai Shi’s own Source Substance, plus the massive suppression brought by his Divine Nature transformation.

Facing this kind of cannon-fodder swarm that relies purely on numbers, it’s practically no different from cooking two dishes.

Just open up the Ruins, then Apocalypse brainwashing, Source Substance infection, Fear Aura, and finally a faith-plague... With dosing and training in one full combo that doesn’t even take three minutes, the other side gets reshaped into Bahamut’s likeness and will never leave Huai Shi again.

No wonder Tong Ji once said that this path of his is tailor-made for illegal Churches.

The first time he fully unleashed the Power that the Great Priestess possesses, even Huai Shi himself could only feel his heart pound in fright. With such ridiculous Ability, if he ever steps even slightly wrong, he could cause absurd incidents back in the Current Circumstances...

Which shows just how uniquely boned the founders of Utopia were back then.

While everyone else was still fighting over Correction Value in the Current Circumstances, they’d already set their sights on Hell, searching there for a Bright Future.

Forget the other Routes; just look at the Path of Dusk’s war strength, the Road of Eternity’s giant installations, plus the Heavenly Inquiry Route’s logistics supply and cannon-fodder recruitment... With just three or four people teamed up, you’d have a living, breathing War Machine.

Drop them in any Hell—so long as there’s no Ruler suppressing them, they’ll stir up a bloody storm.

Just look at Raymond.

He’d only just advanced from scrub tier, first ran into He Di’s assassination attempt, then got hit by a deep-level storm, practically speedrunning his way down to depth 37 and slamming straight into the ground.

And somehow, nothing happened.

The main structure only got slightly warped, and the passengers were literally unharmed aside from minor shock. Though a bunch of instruments were damaged, with an Extreme Interpretation like Source Blood Transformation, crunching a few Source Crystals patched it right up.

Once Professor Anton and Gregory finish their inspections, in a day or two tops he’ll be back to full HP. With such a solid, durable tool-man, across the whole field, where else besides the Heavenly Kingdom Genealogy are you going to find this?

Precisely because he had conditions like this in hand—

Huai Shi’s mind started churning again.

"Hey, what the hell are you plotting now?"

By now Raymond practically had PTSD—whenever he saw this guy’s eyes spinning around, his hair stood on end; he felt like he was about to get scheduled at any moment.

"Actually, even here, it’s not absolutely safe."

Huai Shi shook his head, pondering, choosing his words. "As long as my name is still on the Clown’s blacklist, they can lock onto my location any time and target me."

Raymond was stunned. "We’ve escaped over thirty layers down, and we’re in such a remote place. It can’t be that bad, right?"

"But what if the ones who want me dead aren’t just He Di?"

Huai Shi shot back.

Back at Thunderclap White Plains, when he saw the remade Mountain of Decay, Huai Shi already caught a whiff of bad news. That kind of Hell craft and Power... the only ones he could think of were those Purgatory Workshop Masters who orchestrated the tragic end of Town of Dusk.

Besides that, he had to factor in Paradise of Bliss as well.

Looking at it this way, he was practically an enemy of the entire world down here in Hell.

Aside from the Chef Demon Association and Hell Music Union, he had practically no allies.

Right now they’d only fought for a temporary chance to catch their breath.

Moreover, in the Abyss there is no such thing as a safe zone for people like them to hide in. If they want to achieve their goal—restart the outpost and the Parrot Conch—just running away won’t do a damn thing.

Clashes with those forces are inevitable.

Which means stockpiling Power and preparing for war is absolutely necessary.

Now that they had the Sun Boat—something that, if it can’t win, can at least run—his entire plan finally had a foundation.

"So the key question is: where do we find a bunch of cannon fodder that’s this handy and doesn’t make us feel guilty about using them..."

Huai Shi muttered, drumming the armrest of his chair.

As he gazed at Talin in the twilight beyond the gate, he unconsciously began to smile.
