Chapter 1368: Chapter 1039: Captured on the Spot
No thinking at all.
As soon as Huai Shi’s words fell, the elder instinctively turned and grabbed the horn from the priest’s hand, raised it high, and blew with all his might.
The high-pitched sound, which human ears couldn’t hear, burst forth from the vibration of the Poisonous Copper, sharply resonating in the ears of every Snake-man, prompting them to execute the military orders from the elder without hesitation.
Offensive!
Full-scale offensive!
In front of the collapsed city walls, on either side of the stranded Sun Boat, a white wave surged forth. It was the Snake-men pursuing the Sun Boat, seizing the crucial moment of the broken city to draw their swords and charge.
Like the poison of snakes, it was injected into the carcass of prey, spreading and bringing death!
After issuing the order, the elder threw the horn back to the priest, indicating for him to stay here and convey orders as needed, saluted Huai Shi with a chest touch, retreated two steps, and then directly leaped off the bow, merging into the advancing White Scale Guards, shouting:
"Raise the flag!"
Accompanied by her hoarse voice, the precious emblem granted by The Eternal Ring slowly rose from the white expanse, the chaotic ring resonated wildly in the wind, encompassing both compassion and cruelty.
Those gigantic beasts resembling Giant Lizards emitted deep croaking sounds like that of bullfrogs as they advanced.
The mobility of the Undead Army in siege warfare and the upcoming street battles was utterly insignificant. Presently, all the cavalry had dismounted from their steeds, spreading their arms, allowing the attendants to drape heavy armor on their bodies, raising long halberds or large shields, forming arrays under the orders of the elder.
Amidst the chaos, the hordes behind the city walls couldn’t react effectively in time.
Furthermore, they lost their original barriers and advantageous terrain.
At the forefront were the Giant Lizards, towering half a body higher than ordinary people. These Alien Species, domesticated by the Snake-men, possessed terrifying weight and scales hard enough to rival metal.
Now, after pulling down the Knights, they bore countless sharp barbed outfits, becoming the barriers relied upon by the White Scale Guards.
Under the siege and counterattack of those Undead Warriors, a stronghold was forcibly established on the plaza in front of the bow.
Afterwards, there was no room for any tactics or other ingenious strategies to be employed...
Only the hair-raising slaughter remained.
At the entrance of the plaza, on the narrow surrounding streets, even in those cramped spaces barely allowing an ordinary person to turn around, every Hell Creature wielded weapons, blood-red eyes launching attacks upon their enemies.
No space to evade, no room for retreat; even a slight delay in pace would result in being trampled to death by friendly forces pushing from behind...
This was the simplest and most straightforward collision between blood and flesh, iron and bone, claws and scales.
Also, the most brutal and cruel way of fighting.
Every minute, every second, there was massive battle damage occurring, deaths were too common, there’s no need to elaborate further; the sound of wailing was drowned out by the roar and cries of anger.
Severed limbs and corpses piled up in one place, covering every inch of contested space.
Even the coverage of the Peace Treaty couldn’t momentarily reduce the number of deaths disappearing every moment.
And in the fleeting time won by countless White Scale Guards at the cost of their lives, six enormous Lizards on the plaza ground shrieked, slowly and laboriously dragging ropes to erect a Totem Giant Pillar.
Beneath the Totem Giant Pillar, more than a dozen priests held on, passionately praying with closed eyes, disregarding the arrows whizzing past their ears and the fallen companions.
At the forefront, the High Priest swung the blade, beheading one captive after another.
Thick blood gathered from all around, creeping up on the Totem Giant Pillar, exuding a dazzling glow.
The Blessing from Ruler·Eternal Ring descended.
Under the illumination of the light, the bodies of one White Scale Guard after another began to rapidly expand, the brutal muscles bursting through the skin and scales, transforming into huge creatures half-snake, half-lizard, even the weapons in their hands seemed like children’s toys, cast aside.
Bone claws and teeth rapidly growing in their mouths were the blessings from The Eternal Ring bestowed upon them.
Hunt fresh blood, struggle till death.
The elder had already transformed from a humanoid form into a complete monster. The gray robe torn, dozens of meters long snake tail extended, coiled around the Totem Pole.
Long braids intertwining together fell off, sharp angles protruding from the sleek skull.
Six newly grown arms raised high, amidst the praises and prayers of the priest, flung flames filled with poison in all directions.
Where the flames touched, everything was burned and melted by the venomous fire, even a tiny bit would engulf a person entirely!
"I told you already, I told you before!"
The Harpy screamed hoarsely in anger, feathers all over its body trembling furiously: "Never should’ve trusted that foreign bitch, even if these Snake-men offer blood tax and yield, they’ll betray us eventually!"
Now, saying these things was of no use anymore.
This bunch of foreign bastards had even dragged the relic meant to protect their settlement onto the battlefield, clearly set on sticking with the People of the Current Circumstances, prepared for a relentless battle.
Beside the blood-gushing deep well, amidst the Mystic Ritual, the Insect King was the first to unfold his wings, hissing as he transformed into an overwhelming swarm of insects flying toward the battlefield.
