Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 1544.5- Asking for help

“Damn, it’s so cold! This dragon grandpa is freezing to death!”

For Yangos, a fire-element creature, this freezing climate was unbearable.

It landed beside the campfire and, in a very human-like manner, stretched the tips of its wings directly into the flames to warm them.

“I told you not to come, but you insisted. Now you know how tough it is.”

Ye Zhongming, clad in a thick leather armor, spoke to the dragon, which occupied most of the space.

This leather armor was green-grade, something he had casually crafted after hunting a mutated creature.

The female guard’s female warriors wore similar, casually made leather armor, but they preferred aesthetics—black, brown, and other dull colors were out of the question. They wore white, red, gold, and other vibrant hues.

Perhaps due to the temperature, the mutated creatures here all had thick, long fur.

The team hadn’t yet crossed the national border and was currently at the northernmost part of the country. One more day of travel would take them into Russian territory.

But the climate here had already left the team astonished.

It wasn’t even October yet, but temperatures had already dropped below -20°C. Everything was blanketed in snow, the surroundings a vast expanse of white.

The biting wind carried ice shards, and in strong gusts, even three-star evolved would struggle to withstand the assault.

Ye Zhongming had set out on the rescue mission with Xia Bai, the female guards, Yangos, Yellow Ball, Red Hair, and the Undead Dragonfish.

Afterward, they would turn northeast, cross the Bering Strait, and head to Alaska—to the place Alamos had mentioned—in hopes of obtaining the Mountain King’s Crown.

Although Ye Zhongming’s eyes had mostly recovered, with only slightly weaker vision than before (and likely fully healed in a few more days), the others at Cloud Peak refused to let him venture alone again. This time, top-tier beings like Xia Bai, Yangos, Yellow Ball, Red Hair, and the Undead Dragonfish all accompanied him. The all-seven-star, all-blue-equipment female guards were also present in full force.

With this lineup, even if a superpower like the Resistance Zone or the Glory Army attacked, they wouldn’t stand a chance.

Also accompanying the team were Little Peng and some of his specialized subordinates. Since they weren’t sure about the conditions around the Bering Strait, they brought these coastal experts along in case their skills were needed.

The blue-grade ship had also been brought along.

“I had to come. I need to protect you. If you die, this dragon grandpa is done for, too.”

Yangos glared at Ye Zhongming, speaking the truth. If Ye Zhongming died, so would it. Even if it somehow survived, Xia Lei, Liu Zhenghong, and the others would skin it alive and turn it into a specimen to accompany Ye Zhongming in death.

Several people chuckled. Now that the evil dragon was on their side, prolonged exposure had revealed its comical side.

Ye Zhongming flicked a piece of bone in his hand. The bone vanished strangely midair before reappearing beside Yangos’s face. With a tap, the dragon, caught off guard (or perhaps unable to dodge even if it had tried), was struck.

A piece of bone naturally couldn’t hurt it, and Ye Zhongming hadn’t used full force. But it was enough to send the dragon into a rage, challenging Ye Zhongming to a one-handed duel.

“You don’t use your spatial abilities, and tie one hand behind your back! Then this dragon grandpa—no, this dragon baby—will fight you to the death!”

With its intelligence, Yangos knew exactly why Ye Zhongming had struck—it had called itself “dragon grandpa,” which had displeased him.

Fully unfazed by the cold, Yellow Ball lay comfortably on the ground, side-eyeing the shameless, unprincipled dragon with disdain.

On the ground, Yellow Ball had no fear of this evil dragon.

“There’s a town ahead, likely the last major evolved settlement before crossing the border.”

Xiao Min approached Ye Zhongming with a map, seeking his instructions.

Ye Zhongming examined it. According to the Chameleon-provided map, the place was now called Black Dragon City.

“Let’s resupply there and gather information about the area,” Ye Zhongming ordered.

The entire team quickly prepared to depart.

As soon as they set off, Yangos and Yellow Ball went hunting, joined by the Undead Dragonfish for fun. The rations carried by the evolved were far from enough to satisfy them.

Needless to say, any creature unfortunate enough to catch the attention of these three level-eight beasts was doomed to become food.

Without these three battle beasts, the team felt much more normal.

They traveled until, about an hour away from Black Dragon City, Xiao Min, leading the way, suddenly stopped.

Soon, several dozen evolved appeared in the direction she was looking, speeding toward them on skiing gear. They moved effortlessly across the thick snow, quickly closing the distance.

“Messengers?”
