Apocalypse: Grinding EXP through Hunting
Chapter 421 - 299: The Trial Begins
Chapter 421: Chapter 299: The Trial Begins
Due to her status, Lin Shi was always extremely submissive when serving Tang Wen.
She was willing to do anything, making her almost like a Maid hired specifically to serve Tang Wen at night—or perhaps more like a Female Slave.
Of course, her Maid, Lin Hua, was even more submissive.
If one had to make a comparison, Lin Shi was on the ground floor.
Then Lin Hua was in the basement.
When the four new women discovered this, they realized Tang Wen seemed to have a particular taste for it.
They immediately shattered all their inhibitions, descending to the eighteenth level of the basement and scrambling over each other to serve him.
It was a night of debauchery.
The battle didn’t cease until the sky began to brighten at dawn.
Jade-like bodies lay strewn about, their breathing ragged and chaotic.
Tang Wen stood up, scanned the room, and a smirk played on his lips. ’Not a single one of them could put up a fight.’
He casually strummed his fingers across Lin Shi’s body as if playing a lute.
Madam Lin was jolted awake. She subconsciously begged for mercy again and again, but after forcing her eyes open to take in the situation, she dutifully bent her legs and began to "clean up the battlefield."
"Young Master, you are truly as fierce as a tiger and as mighty as a dragon."
She looked up, her eyes glazed over and her face filled with a doting expression.
Tang Wen looked at his "spoils of war" passed out on and around the bed.
A conqueror’s pride swelled within him.
[Thirty-Six Bed Forms, Mastery (1011→1319/3000)]
He had to admit, the experience gain was surprisingly high.
’I really am exceptionally talented.’
Grabbing her ponytail with a reverse grip, Tang Wen was secretly pleased. ’The Stinging Dragon Qi Replenishing Technique, the Sun-Devouring Rejuvenation Technique, the Jade Firmness Essence Formulas... all these Cultivation Techniques weren’t practiced in vain.’
A full day and night of fierce, uninhibited battle had left a group of Martial Artists utterly unable to fight back.
’In the future, dealing with Extraordinary or even Sixth Grade experts should be no problem at all!’
He had Madam Lin for breakfast.
Tang Wen got dressed and left.
The Female Martial Artist had been waiting outside the door for a long time. When Tang Wen emerged, she spoke with a troubled expression, "Young Master, that cripple... he passed out several times last night. After we revived him, his face became twisted, and he won’t respond no matter what we do. He just stares blankly, as if he’s lost his mind."
"Why would something like that happen?" Tang Wen asked, his tone laced with a hint of surprise, as if the matter had nothing to do with him.
The Female Martial Artist was stunned by his shamelessness.
’Why?’
’It’s because you made that man watch the whole show from behind a screen! He was overstimulated!’
’What other reason could there be?’
At that thought, she abruptly dropped to one knee. "This subordinate is at fault! It was my failure to care for him properly."
Tang Wen nodded in satisfaction. "Not bad. You’re brave enough to take responsibility and admit your mistakes. That’s very good."
The Female Martial Artist was ecstatic. Although she was a Peak Martial Artist, she was already thirty-five and had long given up on breaking through to the Extraordinary realm.
But she had two sons. She had to plan for their futures, didn’t she?
’If I can just latch onto Young Master Tang Wen’s coattails, won’t our futures be limitless?!’
Her mind raced, and a flash of inspiration struck her. "This subordinate believes that a bit of stimulation might be enough to rouse Zhao Zhe."
Tang Wen glanced at her. This female guard was quite resourceful. "Go on."
The Female Martial Artist seized the opportunity. "Next time you and Madam Zhao are... discussing business... why not place him under the bed?"
Tang Wen remained noncommittal. "And what if he dies?"
The Female Martial Artist gritted her teeth and said resolutely, "Then it would surely be my failure to care for him! What would that have to do with you, Young Master? I am willing to bear the full responsibility."
"Aren’t you afraid?" Tang Wen’s tone was calm, betraying no emotion.
If Zhao Zhe died, the consequences could be severe, or they could be negligible.
The Female Martial Artist understood this, and her heart pounded. "It would be a lie to say I’m not afraid, but I am willing to pledge my loyalty to you, Young Master."
"We’ll try your method next time."
Her path had just widened considerably.
Tang Wen told her to rise and then drifted away.
He hadn’t slept all night, yet he felt exceptionally energetic.
Upon returning to his quarters, the first thing he did was head straight for the bathroom.
The jumble of scents on his body was so overwhelming that even he found it unpleasant.
After last night’s battle, Lin Shi’s entire contingent had been wiped out; this morning, there wasn’t a single person available to attend to his bath.
Tang Wen lay back in the enormous bathtub.
Maids filed in, one after another, to help Tang Wen wash up.
They then placed a tray laden with fruit, pastries, fine tea, and exquisite wine on the water, floating it before him.
His mind at ease, Tang Wen dozed off in the water.
SPLASH!
Someone stepped into the water.
Tang Wen jolted awake. ’Who’s there?!’
’They’re already in the tub and I’m just now noticing!’
’Isn’t Hu Qi in the courtyard?’
He opened his eyes and saw a pair of perfectly rounded, pale, jade-like legs.
"Er, Miss Hu Yun, what are you doing up here?"
Tang Wen breathed a sigh of relief. The greeting came out subconsciously, but in his mind, he was exclaiming, ’So big... no, wait, so pale!’
Hu Yun, who was supposed to be underground, had come up here for some reason.
Hu Yun walked under the faucet, rinsing her body as she spoke. "I found some people from the Huang Family, along with a Tracking Mouse. I came up specifically to let you know."
’A Tracking Mouse?’
Tang Wen had heard of this type of Exotic Beast before.
They weren’t strong in combat, but their Tracking abilities were exceptional.
SPLASH!
Tang Wen stood up in the water.
His hard, toned torso emerged from the surface.
Hu Yun turned to look, her fiery gaze sweeping down his body before finally settling below the water’s surface.
Her gaze was so undisguised that it made Tang Wen uncomfortable.
Hu Yun’s assertiveness flowed from her eyes, making it seem as if she were the wealthy patron of a brothel and Tang Wen was one of the employees.
"What Grade is the Tracking Mouse?" he asked, changing the subject.
"Sixth Grade. A Six-Point Peak."
As she spoke, Hu Yun turned around, letting the clear stream of water wash over her scant clothing.
Tang Wen stared right back, secretly hoping the stream of water would get a little stronger and wash her clothes right off!
"Good, so it’s not just some Fifth Grade beast. The Huang Family is trying to track me by scent."
"This is an opportunity."
Tang Wen paused, then it dawned on him. "You mean, we should play along and turn the tables on them? Have you figured out the strength of the forces they’ve sent?"
Hu Yun shook her head, but she had clearly already considered this. "When you and Feng San Niang go down, wear scented clothing like you normally do. Then, give me the source of the fragrance, like a sachet or something similar."
