Apocalypse: King of Zombies

Chapter 1645 - 1645: Call Me Boss

The three alien fighters stared in shock at the figures emerging from the dimensional rift.

When they realized every newcomer was Stage SSS, their expressions darkened.

Theron, on the other hand, breathed a heavy sigh of relief.

"Finally... Any longer and I wouldn't have lasted."

"We are Noxari. I suggest you stay out of our affairs," the Noxari Patriarch said coldly.

The Noxari were one of the strongest races in Umbrath, so Ethan's group wasn't enough to frighten him. Still, only three of them had come here. If a fight broke out, they would be at a disadvantage.

He had invoked the Noxari name in hopes of intimidating the newcomers.

Unfortunately, he had chosen the wrong people.

"Who the hell are the Noxari supposed to be? You attacked one of mine, so your entire race can disappear!" Ethan said coldly. "Attack! Kill these three first!"

"Got it!"

Abyron and Dahlia immediately charged the two Tier 47 fighters.

"Arrogant fools! Do you really think we're afraid of you?" The three Noxari were furious.

The two Tier 47s moved to intercept Abyron and Dahlia, while the Noxari Patriarch abandoned Theron and charged the others.

They were nothing but a pack of weaklings who had just reached Stage SSS, yet they dared threaten to wipe out the Noxari.

They clearly had no idea what they were capable of.

Theron flashed in front of the Noxari Patriarch and blocked his path, then gave Ethan an exasperated look.

"Will it kill you not to run your mouth? He's still a peak Tier 47. Are you trying to get yourself killed?"

"I'm in terrible condition. I might not be able to protect you!"

"I don't need your protection." Ethan smiled. "Want to bet I can kill him?"

"..."

Theron rolled his eyes and didn't even bother answering.

"If I kill him, you have to start calling me Boss, just like Abyron," Ethan said.

"If you truly have that ability, then I'll gladly call you Boss," Theron replied coldly. "But New Atlas still needs you. Don't do anything reckless. A peak Tier 47 is no joke."

"Then watch closely."

Ethan pulled Theron, the Noxari Patriarch, Sean, and the others into the Deadlock Dimension.

Sean and the rest had entered the Deadlock Dimension so many times that they barely reacted.

Theron had been there before as well, so he wasn't surprised.

The Noxari Patriarch was the only one who immediately looked around with caution. Once he confirmed there were no other threats, he relaxed and sneered at Ethan.

"I'd like to see how you plan to kill me."

"You'll find out soon enough."

Ethan teleported beside him and swung his poleaxe at his head.

"You think someone like you can fight me? Know your place!"

The Noxari Patriarch sneered as black energy gathered in his hand. He launched it straight at Ethan.

"Absolute Stasis!"

Everything around Ethan froze.

His poleaxe, blazing with black light, smashed into the Noxari Patriarch's head.

Boom!

The impact tore open his scalp and sent him flying.

Ethan gave him no chance to recover. He instantly drew mental energy from Sean and Big Mike, restoring himself to full strength. Then he teleported after the Patriarch and swung another full-power Annihilation Strike.

Absolute Stasis ended at the last possible moment.

The Noxari Patriarch regained control of his body. He had no idea what had just happened, but his head was ringing with pain. When he saw the poleaxe coming down again, he hurriedly conjured a black shield.

Light flashed in Ethan's eyes.

Silencing Gaze.

The shield vanished.

Soulbane Gaze followed immediately. Agony tore through the Noxari Patriarch's soul, and before he could react, Ethan's poleaxe came crashing down.

Thud!

Blood sprayed through the air as the poleaxe buried itself deep in the existing wound.

"Graaah!"

An agonized roar escaped the Noxari Patriarch's throat as he reached wildly for Ethan.

Ethan had learned from his last fight. He yanked the poleaxe free and immediately teleported out of reach.

Blood gushed from the Noxari Patriarch's skull. He staggered several steps toward Ethan before collapsing, his eyes still fixed on him in bitter disbelief.

He had probably never imagined that he would die at the hands of a Tier 44.

Theron stood frozen nearby.

He really killed him?

A Tier 44 had killed a peak Tier 47 with two strikes?

How was that possible?

Even after seeing it with his own eyes, Theron could hardly believe it.

Ethan stored the Noxari Patriarch's corpse inside his spatial storage ring, then teleported to Theron's side.

"Well? Not bad, right?"

"..."

"Call me Boss."

"..."

"Don't tell me you're going back on your word."

"I..." Theron opened his mouth, then finally gave in. "Boss."

"That's more like it."

Ethan grinned and patted Theron on the shoulder.

Getting this proud bastard to call him Boss filled Ethan with an absurd sense of accomplishment.

"Emily, help us recover our mental energy."

"Okay."

Emily activated Energy Recovery Aura, restoring the mental energy of Ethan, Sean, Big Mike, and the severely depleted Theron.

Henry finally remembered his own role and quickly used his healing ability to treat Theron's injuries.

Feeling both his wounds and mental energy recover at a rapid pace, Theron was stunned all over again.

What kind of ridiculous abilities did these people have?

With the siblings' help, everyone soon returned to full strength.

Ethan dismissed the Deadlock Dimension, and the group reappeared outside.

Abyron and Dahlia were still locked in fierce combat with the two Noxari fighters.

Dahlia was evenly matched with her opponent, while Abyron had the upper hand in his fight. Even so, he wouldn't be able to finish it anytime soon.

When Ethan and the others reappeared, both Noxari fighters felt their hearts sink.

"Where's our Patriarch?!"

"He went to have a chat with Death. I'll send you two after him."

"Attack!"

Ethan charged one of the Noxari with his poleaxe while Theron instantly went after the other.

It didn't take long for both Tier 47 fighters to fall.

Ethan stored their corpses in his spatial storage ring.

The ring had more than enough room now. No matter how many bodies he collected, it could hold them all.

With the fight over, Ethan took out his phone and checked Chris's location, then the Rimekin's.

"Chris has gotten pretty good at staying alive. Even with that many people after him, they still can't catch him. He should be fine for now."

He put away his phone.

"We'll help the Rimekin first."

Ethan swept his hand through the air and activated Riftwalk once more, leading the group into the dimensional rift.
