Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts
Chapter 1455 - 97: Migration (Part 2)
Within the tiered battlefield, the mainland blocs are not far apart from each other, and in the Void, aside from the pre-set air torpedoes of Yanjing, trigger warning devices, the massive Void Battle Fleet, Sky Eye System... and so forth, there are no visible or tangible risks.
Five thousand Demon Fiends surged forward like schools of fish in the ocean, swimming swiftly through the Void along the route provided by Ray — they appeared impressive, but those familiar with the situation knew just how vulnerable these five thousand Demon Fiends truly were.
At this moment, Wen Yu remained by Guer’s side, the two occasionally chatting about future development plans, mostly Wen Yu speaking while Guer nodded in agreement — considering Wen Yu’s knowledge and experience, giving Guer, this young cub, a few constructive suggestions was certainly easy.
Essentially playing the role of an advisor.
But simply being an advisor is not enough; teasing information out of Guer, this young Ancient Demon, might be straightforward, but truly gaining a lead on traitors and earning Guer’s wholehearted trust, and taking on a high position within the Rebel Army, are absolutely indispensable steps.
Wen Yu’s "strength" is insufficient, his identity inadequate, and in terms of intelligence, he’s slightly lacking compared to a true advisor.
But Wen Yu has his own way of handling this.
At a certain moment, Guer suddenly went into a daze, his expression changed drastically, and Wen Yu barely smiled, then looked toward Guer’s torso.
There, the Balu Monster’s main body seed was constantly pulsating, as if faced with some unprecedented crisis!
...
Zone Three’s Void Fleet flagship.
Ray and the Zone Three flagship captain stood side by side, both looking at the electronic screen ahead, the actions of the five thousand Ancient Demons clearly displayed.
"Deploy several V-type warships to attack this Demon Fiend squad, clean them all up, leave no one!"
Ray said, then gently turned his identity token in hand.
The Zone Three flagship captain’s peripheral glance swept over, and the two golden characters "Wen Yu" shimmered under the light’s reflection, so he shrugged with a smile.
"Yes, my lord..."
Although Ray somewhat appeared to be abusing his power, the Zone Three flagship captain naturally overlooked this trivial matter in light of Wen Yu’s identity token.
Ray merely smiled slightly at the Zone Three flagship captain.
"Thank you, this event is a confidential mission, I hope you’ll keep it a secret for me."
The Zone Three flagship captain nodded lightly, then issued the order through the ship’s communication.
...
The attack happened quickly.
As the Balu Monster’s main body issued a warning, Guer’s expression shifted dramatically — the young Guer didn’t even have time to say anything before a Blue Light instantly arrived from far away.
The roaring Energy Wave struck the midsection of the group, high temperatures mixed with explosions instantly extinguishing the life force of over a hundred Ancient Demons, Guer turned around, looking toward the source of the attack, but what greeted him were three consecutive Blue Lights identical to the previous one.
At this moment, the danger warning from the Balu Monster seed was stronger than ever before, Guer could only watch helplessly as some unknown entity from afar launched a long-range attack on them, unable to implement anything effective in response.
Until five thousand Demon Fiends were more than halfway wiped out in merely three seconds, until another Blue Light instantly arrived, directly striking Guer’s face, Guer widened his eyes, seemingly shocked into paralysis by the sudden arrival of death, and in the next moment, he only felt a big hand fiercely grab his collar, his body suddenly floating away.
The last scene his eyes captured was Number 3 Uncle being enveloped by the Blue Light.
"Uncle! Uncle!!!"
Grueling cries echoed from young Guer’s mouth, his mind devoid of any intention to flee; instead, he madly rushed towards the site where Number 3 Uncle got directly hit.
However, the anticipated disappearance of the corpse didn’t happen, at this moment, Number 3 Uncle was full of charred black marks, his whole body exuded a rich aroma of flesh, but these fierce scars came and went quickly, in the blink of an eye, Number 3 Uncle’s injuries had completely healed.
"Substitute death..."
Wen Yu casually remarked, ignoring Guer’s tearful smile, holding Guer tightly to create an "indestructible" barrier with his own body for Guer.
Until the next Energy Wave arrived from afar, striking Number 3 Uncle’s back...
...
"That’s enough!"
Watching the scene on the electronic screen, Ray abruptly spoke, and the Zone Three flagship captain quickly issued the ceasefire order, then furrowed his brows inquiring.
"Two left, shouldn’t we clean them up thoroughly?"
"No need, this is fine as it is now."
Ray didn’t explain much, he turned around, shook hands with the Zone Three flagship captain, exchanged a few pleasantries, then quickly left the flagship, finding Marcus roaming around on another battleship, the two jumped off the ship, swiftly heading towards Wen Yu and Guer’s location.
"What just happened? I seemed to see the fleet launching an attack..."
On the way, Marcus casually mentioned to Ray, who merely nodded.
"The Void Fleet discovered migrating Demon Fiends, attacked them, many died, but later I stopped it."
Ray spoke vaguely, and Marcus wasn’t interested in delving deeper, he counter-questioned.
"How many are left?"
"Less than a hundred..."
"Ah, I see what you mean."
Marcus seemed to grasp the truth of the matter, suddenly opening to Ray.
"You plan to use the fleet to get rid of these guys, so I can be detached from the affair, right?"
"..."
"Well you achieved it... A hundred eighty Demon Fiends... Tsk tsk, sorry, I’m not interested in accompanying them any longer."
Marcus said this, then surprisingly turned around, leaving Ray behind.
Ray was instantly dumbfounded.
"What the hell are you planning?"
Behind him, Ray’s fuming voice reached Marcus’s ears, but Marcus simply waved his hand.
"Heading back, returning to the camp, thank you, thank you for handling this matter, resolving these burdens, from now on, I’m not playing with them anymore."
Watching Marcus’s suave silhouette, Ray muttered under his breath, unable to express it.
This guy had no idea how much trouble his "unintentional act" just dropped on Ray, this moment Marcus pat his bottom and left, directly tossing a huge mess onto Ray’s lap.
After a while, Ray was ultimately left helpless by Marcus...
He slumped his shoulders, turned, and sped toward where Guer and Wen Yu were, until those embracing, large and small silhouettes came into view.
