Chapter 559: Chapter 261: First Contact, Dragon Lizard People, Galactic Situation

"Should we launch a surprise attack and catch them off guard, or should we try to negotiate?"

Lin Feng mouthed the words silently, gesturing with both hands, not daring to breathe too loudly.

He was afraid the group of Lizard People a kilometer away would detect them and be put on guard.

Right now, Lin Feng and his group were hidden while the enemy was out in the open. With the right timing, they could catch their opponents off guard, even with the disparity in their gear.

In a situation like this, where neither side knew much about the other, the best solution was to subdue the opponent first, effectively minimizing their own risk.

Lin Feng had seen many sci-fi movies and was familiar with the so-called "dark forest" law of the universe.

’So he didn’t hold out much hope for the Dragon Race.’

’If it weren’t for the Alien Zerg Race’s invasion, these pioneers, already adapted to wandering the cosmos, would most likely have returned only to reconquer Blue Star.’

’Expelling, or even enslaving, all of humanity.’

’Treating humanity as a delicacy and raising them like livestock, just like in the sci-fi stories.’

’It was only because the Zerg Race was in outer space, holding them back, that the two sides had any chance of a dialogue as equals.’

That was why Lin Feng hesitated.

This first contact, spanning time and space, would likely shape their future perceptions of each other—as either friend or foe—and influence all subsequent negotiations.

However, Lin Feng was a rookie who had barely interacted with foreigners of his own species, let alone aliens. He was not cut out for this.

So he tossed the problem to Ling Yi.

As a member of a Cosmic Race that ruled a Small Magellanic Cloud-like Star System, she had conquered countless fixed star systems and encountered innumerable alien civilizations. Her experience in contacting other races was far richer than humanity’s.

Understanding Lin Feng’s question, Ling Yi activated the bracer on her wrist. Her Tiger Armor materialized, encasing her seamlessly in its Full Body Armor form.

She then spoke in a low voice:

"The second option, of course. We still have to find Qin Hu, and we need to leverage the Dragon Race’s power to resist the Zerg Race’s invasion."

"But let’s first understand their intentions. Besides, there are only eleven of us, and only two are Tier Two Peak Awakeners. On the other hand, they were able to enter the Land of the End from inside the Realm King’s body..."

"They must have at least a hundred Trial Takers. Even if we could seriously injure these few, who knows if there are other Dragon Lizards nearby."

"Once we have their attention, you and I will go negotiate. The remaining nine Genetic Warriors will stay here on high alert. If anything goes wrong, they are to retreat immediately."

As she spoke, Ling Yi once again released her Spiritual Energy, placing a Shield around the nine warriors. She continued her explanation:

"If they already possess Tier Two Peak strength, they can’t master the Zerg Race’s Mental Realm. They can only let the Mental Realm temporarily parasitize a part of their bodies to disguise themselves and deceive the Zerg Race in the Real World."

"Therefore, this Lizard Dragon Race doesn’t have the same urgent need to kill the King Spine Zerg that we do."

"They’re here more to explore than to plunder."

’As long as there was no direct conflict of interest, there was a chance for communication and even cooperation.’

’Only by clarifying this logic could they proceed.’

Lin Feng nodded, understanding Ling Yi’s reasoning.

Following her instructions, he stepped onto a nearby obsidian boulder, fully armed. Amidst the monolith-strewn landscape of the Land of the End, he was incredibly conspicuous.

In reality, the moment Ling Yi began to speak, the unusual frequency of the sound vibrations had already alerted the distant Dragon Lizards.

As Tier Two Peak Powerhouses, their sensory organs were far superior to a human’s. With the aid of advanced technology, their hearing and sense of touch gave them near-total situational awareness.

Seeing this unknown being reveal itself, they all turned, activating their Shields while simultaneously raising the Energy Cannons mounted on their arms and locking onto Lin Feng and Ling Yi.

Ling Yi activated her Spiritual Energy and stepped forward, greeting them in the common tongue of her region of the Milky Way Galaxy.

Her words were laced with Spiritual Power. As long as the other squad had an Evolver with Spiritual Abilities, they could analyze the energy frequency and understand her meaning:

"A member of our team went missing here. Did you take him?"

As Ling Yi’s telepathic message went out, the other party quickly responded with a series of hoarse, rustling sounds.

A device on its neck, just below its head, automatically translated the hissing roars from its throat into the same common tongue of the Milky Way Galaxy that Ling Yi had spoken.

After listening, Ling Yi explained to Lin Feng:

"They didn’t find Qin Hu. He was taken by another Dragon Lizard Squad."

"However, they’re willing to negotiate and share intelligence about the Land of the End."

Lin Feng nodded.

"So we’re going over now?"

Ling Yi replied, "Let’s go. They’re sending representatives over as well."

The two of them set down their Armor-Piercing Cannons and walked forward about five hundred meters. They stopped when they were less than twenty meters from the other party.

Each party stood atop a separate boulder and began the dialogue.

The opposing Dragon Lizard Squad consisted of six members in total; two of them now came forward to negotiate.

Only upon seeing them up close did Lin Feng realize that this civilization, which had once ruled Blue Star in prehistoric times, had undergone significant evolution. They were completely different from the Dinosaur fossils unearthed back home.

They varied in size, and each had its own sense of taste. The personalized decals on their gear even seemed to reflect different personalities.

Their intelligence was in no way inferior to that of humans.

The two Dragon Lizards facing them were of different sizes. The larger one was over five meters tall, nearly six. The smaller one had cyan-blue scales and more pronounced lizard-like features. Its head was completely smooth, with no protruding fangs or horns, making it resemble one of the skinks still found on Blue Star.
